Forty
"You've gone too far, Marcus, with what you're telling me. Don't you realize I'm in pain as well? But why do you give up when it comes to that woman? What is it about that woman that I don't have? "She inquired.
"Gianna has nothing to do with your problem, Maureen; you're hurting because you're hoping for my love, but you know I can't give you what you want because you're too blind to accept." "I informed her.
My eyes have widened as a result of what I've heard. What I overheard Marcus and Maureen talking about astounded me. What if she found out Marcus and I were in the same room tonight? Perhaps she will die in a fit of rage. I can't stop laughing.
Why are there people like her who, even when there is no hope, will insist on having their way? She is stunning and, above all, wealthy. And I'm sure she can find a dozen men if she really wants to. I didn't move to give Marcus the impression that I was sleeping, but the truth was that I still wanted to hear what they were saying.
"That's enough. Go to sleep," Marcus said as he stood up and walked into the bathroom. I also noticed that the bed sagged. And I noticed he was lying on my side. What the hell happened? The bed is quite large, but why does this man seem to gravitate toward me? And I could smell him, and they were biting all over my nose. It was a pleasure for me to kiss and hug him.
I didn't want to sit next to Gianna. I could tell she was tired. It was difficult for me to sleep with her next to the bed because the smell of her just seemed to draw me closer to her, so I forced myself to close my eyes and sleep. So I didn't realize I was sleeping, but I thought I heard her call me, but I ignored it because it felt like I was just dreaming, but she seemed to call me louder. I rolled my eyes and opened them to see her staring at me as if in pain. I stood up and asked her.
"Why, Gianna?" I ask.
While crawling on her stomach, I noticed she was sweating. I stroked her cheek.
"What's wrong with you?" I gently asked her.
"My stomach hurts a lot," she explained.
"Is that correct? Do you want me to take you to the hospital? You only have food and a dish to eat, or maybe you had a stomach ache from a cold that came in air-conditioned," I explained.
"Yes, but the pain is unbearable," I explained as I dialed the front desk.
"Hello, I'm in need of some extra help here. Room 4647 "
"As soon as possible, sir."
The door unexpectedly opened, allowing the hotel staff to enter.
"Sir, what happened?"
"Her stomach ached unexpectedly. Do you have any medication?"
"There is, sir; I'll be the first to leave."
When the woman emerged, I approached Gianna and stroked her back. I took the blanket and wiped her face before wrapping it around her and tying her hair.
"How are you feeling? Is it still painful? I inquired, and she responded with a nod.
The door then opened, and a member of the hotel staff entered, carrying a glass of water and medicine.
"Drink the medicine first, Ma'am; we should first observe your condition if it does not improve, even if you've already taken the medicine; you must be taken to the hospital." stated the staff.
She gave me a look before walking out the door. Gianna collapsed after taking the medication.
"First, I'm going to put it to sleep." "Perhaps the pain will go away tomorrow," she said to me.
"Maybe you're hungry?"
"I'm completely full, Marcus. I'm so tired that it hurts all of a sudden."
She turned away from my habit, covering her stomach with a blanket, and I moved closer to her, squeezing her back in the hopes that the pain would go away.
"Thank you; it appears that the pain vanished when you squeezed my back. I'm not looking forward to going to the hospital. " She explained.
"Go to sleep so you don't have to deal with the pain tomorrow," I advised.
"Please go to sleep as well, thank you," she said.
I stood up and went to the bathroom to pee. I noticed she was fast asleep. Perhaps her stomach ache had subsided.
I got out of the toilet, grabbed my wristwatch, and checked the time. It should be in the early hours of the morning. And I heard Gianna's phone ring. I answered the phone because Bianca was calling.
"Hello, I'm worried about you. Where did you sleep? Why didn't you call me so I could find you?"
"I'm Marcus, and this is Bianca."
"Good morning, Marcus; please tell Gianna to call me."
"All right," I said as I hung up the phone. She didn't even ask, but I had a feeling she had a lot to say.
I went back to bed and promptly fell asleep.
I got up early the next day. I had a severe stomach ache last night. It's a good thing it misplaced the medication I was taking. Marcus, who was by my side, caught my eye. He was sound asleep and snoring. I caressed his cheek. When he moved, I returned to lying down and closed my eyes.
When I was awake, I opened my eyes to look at Gianna. I took a few strands of her hair that were draped over her face and picked them up. Even with her eyes closed, she is stunning. I'll wake her up so we can go. I'm concerned about the work I left behind in the Philippines, as well as my children.
"Wake up, Gianna," I said, shaking her shoulder.
Marcus's body loading of my arm made me laugh. I yawned as if I'd just gotten out of bed, but it's been a long time. When I opened my eyes, he was staring at me.
"Let go of my arm, Marcus, the weight of your body," I begged.
"I'm sorry; how are you doing? Does your stomach still hurt?"
"No, the good stuff is already gone."
"Are we going to leave?"
"By the way, your aunt called while you were sleeping, so I answered." I informed her.
"What?
"Her eyes widen.
"Marcus, why did you answer her call? "I'm sure she'll ask," she predicted.
"We've done nothing wrong, Gianna," I assured her.
"However, what do you expect from the reactions of others when they discover we're both in the same room and sleeping next to each other?" ”
I cracked a grin. And I went up to her.
"If I had known what was going to happen, I would have made myself cute in your presence so that you would give in and something would happen between us again."
"Dream on!" She once told me that she got out of bed and went into the bathroom.
"Hurry up there, Gianna, so we can leave," I said, laughing.
Marcus's words made me bite my lower lip. Why did he respond to my aunt's phone call? It's been a long discussion. It's as if I want to return to the Philippines so that my aunt and I can stop talking. Marcus, you're a jerk! My annoyance made me sick.
Before leaving, I took a shower and wiped my body with a towel. As I saw him lying on the bed, I closed my eyes.
"Turn around, Marcus, and I'll get dressed," I said.
"I'm sleeping," he said, "just get dressed there."
"I don't trust you," I said.
"Stop talking!"
"If I don't respect you, I raped you last night," he said solemnly.
"Whatever," I said quickly, carrying my clothes into the bathroom.
My phone rang, so I got out of bed. It was in my pants pocket, so I took it out. Darius called after I looked at it. I responded.
"Hello, Darius, and why?"
"Where are you? Are you with Gianna? What happened? "
My brow furrowed in response to his question.
"Why? "was my response.
" Bianca stated that you and Aurora are in the same room because you answered when she called, and she was shock knowing that you're are with Gianna, she said that her nephew still has many dreams in life. "Darius stated.
I burst out laughing.
"So, what is she implying? That I won't be able to be with her nephew? Gianna is no longer a minor, Darius. Bianca's mind is simply too filthy. " I explained.
"What should we think? There are many hotels around L.A, but why are you together in the same room? I'm sure you'll still be in bed together, so it means one thing: you have a relationship that only you know about." I laugh at Darius' long litany.
"Damn you! We were just sleeping and nothing else happened, we couldn't find another hotel because it was fully booked, that's why," my replied.
"She was only concerned about her nephew." Since she was aware, what is your attitude toward women? "He informed me.
"We're exactly the same, Darius, so don't clean up after me," I said as I hung up the phone.
I was enraged, and Bianca quickly judged me. Gianna appeared dressed as I rose from the bed.
"Your aunt is looking for you, just tell her the truth, that we don't have any relationship." I told her as soon as I walked out the door.
I wondered why Marcus was like that. What happened? I went out the door and followed Leon out of the hotel. I saw him leaning against the car outside. He just looked at me but did not speak. We took a taxi and drove to the hospital. I got out first and walked into the hospital. Here I am now standing outside the door to the room occupied by my aunt.
I pushed open the door and walked in. Uncle Darius and Aunt Bianca were sitting when I arrived. My aunt did not smile when she looked at me. Uncle Darius entered the room, and we were both locked inside.
“It's good that you're here, Gianna.” My aunt said to me.
I walked up to her and kissed her on the cheek.
"Are you telling me something?" my aunt inquired.
"What is it, Aunt?"
"What is your relationship with Marcus?" I'm already thinking about what she'll ask.
"Nothing, Aunt," I replied.
Her brow furrowed at me.
"Nothing? But you and I are in the same room?"
"Aunt, you're exaggerating; why did you doubt me? I'm telling the truth; what else do you want to hear from me?"
"Thank you very much, Gianna. I just don't want you to be hurt in the end. Marcus's class and handsomeness will really take you, but you don't know him very well yet."
My brow furrowed.
"I'm not so young anymore, Aunt; I know what's right and wrong."
"So, what are you attempting to say? That you and Marcus are in a relationship? "
"Gianna, he's wealthy in comparison to us. You still have a lot of work ahead of you just to be with him. She has children who are aware if they are opposed to the two of you's relationship, just in case. You'll know a lot more of the right people for you when you're young. You've already been through a lot of pain in your life; don't add to it. " She said calmly to me.
Marcus and I don't even have a relationship yet, but if she could talk, it would be too much for me.
I was irritated because I could hear everything Bettina said. Is that how I feel about her? If that's the case, I can't be with Gianna. Shit! I would have opened the door if Darius hadn't grabbed my hand.
"Leave them alone, Marcus."
"Bianca insulted me, Darius. Is that how I come across? We're related. We've spent more time together in our lives. You know me better than anyone else. I hope you tell your wife about my demeanor. " I stated solemnly.
Darius exhaled a sigh.
"She was surprised because she didn't expect you and Gianna to be in the same room because you are a billionaire and Gianna lives a simple life," Darius explains.
"Is there a problem there?" In my entire life, I have never degraded anyone's or anyone's status in life. " I explained.
"I understand, Marcus, but there is a tendency. We don't always understand women. Bianca adores her niece, and I hope you understand. " Darius told me.
I sighed and exited the hospital, intending to return to the Philippines, Gianna would take care of herself.
I'm currently waiting for Lance to arrive at the Philippine airport. I stopped calling Gianna to see if she was coming home. I was furious over what Bianca and Gianna were discussing. I'm thirsty, but Lance hasn't yet arrived. Later, a white car pulled out in front of me. Lance looked up as the window opened.
"Long time no see, Marcus, how are you?" he said.
Nothing was spilled by me. Instead, I opened the car door and walked inside.
"Why are you late? I've been waiting for you for a long time," I explained.
"My wife craves mangos, so it's better to fulfill her request first, she's always more important than you," Lance replied.
