Forty Seven

“Hi, sir, I don't know that you just slept here." She told me.
I nodded in response. "I'm not going to report today. You take care of here first." I said.
"Give all the staff here snacks and lunch again." I ordered her.
I left the office and went to the parking lot to pick up my car. I got on and drove away from the building. My head suddenly hurt. When I got home, the whole place was quiet. I got out of the car and went inside the house. I was shocked when I heard balloons explode and fly.
"Happy birthday, Daddy!" I heard my three children greet me at once.
They approached me and kissed me on the cheek at the same time.
"Thank you. I didn’t know that I got a surprise birthday from the three of you.” I said.
“Of course, We love you so much, Dad, that's why.” said Winter.
I noticed Lance entering the door with his wife. Thompson's wife and children also followed.
"Happy birthday, Uncle Marcus." Greetings of Thompson children.
"Thank you, kids." My answer.
"Happy birthday, I wish you all the best. " Thompson's wife greeted me.
“Thank you.”
Lance wife approached me.
"Happy birthday, Uncle."
"Thank you, sweetheart." My answer.
They all went out there in the back of the house near the pool, and I followed. I didn't know that there were tables and food ready.
"Happy birthday, Marcus. Why do you look like you died? Aren't you happy that you have reached this age? " Thompson asked me, and I noticed Lance grin.
I noticed Carl had just entered, and he waved at me.
Pia also followed with her boyfriend. And the last one was Dion. It smiled at me and approached Winter. And also, Darius texted me earlier, as well as Bianca. She is saying sorry for what she did. But what I expected to come was Gianna, but she didn't even come.
I noticed Winter was keeping on glancing at her phone and looking at me.
“That won't come, because maybe she avoid trouble. Look who’s here. " said Lance.
Then I saw Natasha looking at me. And then I saw her approach our children.
Luca and Timothy expressions were of happiness to see their mother again, but Winter's reaction was the opposite. Her face darkened. But when Natasha hugged her, she didn't protest. And I heard Winter say to Pia,

"I waited for someone else, but someone else came."
I picked up the phone and tried to call Gianna, but I couldn’t get in touch. Then I saw Maureen approaching.
"Happy birthday, I didn’t know that Natasha was here." She told me. But I did not comment. She approached Natasha and kissed her.
"There's only one person missing, and that's when the reunion of your women happened." Thompson's comment.
"Shut up!" I reprimand. I left the house and got back into the car. I want to go to Gianna in the mansion. I want to talk to her and apologize.

And just as my car stopped in front of the mansion, Gianna came out of the gate. I opened the car door and got out. She looked at me with a blank expression.

"What are you doing here?" She asked me.
"Gianna, let's talk." I begged her.
"We don't have anything to talk about." She answered me.
"I have a lot to tell you."
“I don't want to hear what you have to say. You can go away.”
“Where are you going? Is it at home? It's my birthday today. Didn't Winter tell you? " I told her.
“What do I care if it's your birthday today? I will not go to your house. I'm going somewhere else. " Gianna replied.
"Wherever? I will accompany you.”
“Never mind. If you came here just because of what happened the other day, I don't mind anymore. So you don't have to come back here. " said Gianna.
It was as if what Gianna was saying made me feel worse.
I noticed that Marcus seemed lethargic. It looks like this man has a fever. I approached him and touched his forehead and felt the warmth of his skin.
“I think you have a fever. Have you taken any medicine? " Gianna asked me.
It was as if I wanted to thank my fever when, because of it, Gianna talked to me. And then the gate opened and the five women came out.
“We’re leaving now, ma’am. Thank you, "said the woman.
Gianna nodded in response.
"Where are they going?" I will ask.
"They asked for leave to go home to their province. So I allowed it. " Gianna replied.
She took my hand and pulled me into the house. The guard smiled at me and winked at me. I just laughed.
“What did you do to make yourself have a fever again? Is this what you got when you got drunk and went crazy at the bar last night? " She asked me.
I haven’t commented yet because I don't know what else I could say to cause her to get mad at me. We sat on the couch. And Gianna put her phone on the table and went with it to the kitchen. And then I heard the phone ring, and Harry was the caller. I was angry when I saw that man's name on the screen.
"Who called?" She asked me.
"I do not know." My answer.
"Take the medicine first," she told me. And she gave me the headache medicine and she gave me water.
“Do you want to eat? It's like your haven’t eaten yet," she says.
I nodded. Gianna left and returned to the kitchen. A minute later, it came back with a handful of food and put in the table.
I took food and started eating. Gianna left for a moment and entered her room.
Winter texted, so I'll call her first.
"Hello, Winter. Why? " I asked her on the other line.
"What, why? Where are you? " Harley asked.
"I'm not going there." I said.
“It’s good, because Aunt Maureen and my good mother are here. But Daddy suddenly disappeared. Maybe he were looking for you. Do you know that he is sad even on his birthday because you did not come? " Harley's says.

"All right, Bye. " I went back to the living room and found Marcus with his eyes closed and leaning on the couch.
“Marcus, come into the room first. I'll put it in the kitchen this plate first." I said.
Marcus got up and went to my room. And I went to the kitchen, carrying the plate that Leon had eaten.
I entered the room. I approached Leon and felt his forehead. He was sweating and his t-shirt was wet.
“Why don't you come to my house? Are you afraid that they will all know that you are the one I love? "he said to me.
"You have a fever. You're not drunk." My answer.
“I have a fever or I'm drunk. My mind and heart are still consistent. Why can't you feel that? "he asked me.
My tongue twitched at Marcus question.
“And don't tell me that the reason is your ex-boyfriend because it's been too long now. Why can't you give me a chance to court you? "
"You came here to say that? You're just wasting your time. " I told him.
Suddenly, I got up to face her.
"Please? Give me a chance. Because if you don't, I feel like I'm going crazy with your thoughts. " I told her.
And I touched her face and kissed her lips.

I did not utter what Leon said. I didn’t know what to do. I was confused. I didn’t know I could gamble this time. I know the reason why his ex-wife came back. To win him back? Like that. I invited her earlier, but she didn't come with me because she was going with this man. I get irritated with annoyance. It looks like I want to punch him now. I noticed Maureen and Gianna answers

Then I saw amusement in Timothy's eyes.

And I noticed that he was leaving and going out of the house.

"I followed you. I just want to know how you feel when Natasha is back. " said Maureen.

Dianna motioned me to enter the house.

"Where is your boyfriend?" I asked.
