Thirty Nine

Marcus approached me from behind and whispered.

"Just stay with me all night, Gianna, and I'll pay for your one-night stay," he replied to my question.

When he replied, my nose smoked. Perhaps this man wishes to experience physical pain. He was fortunate because the only thing he had experienced with me previously was a tingling sensation in his ear. If he continues to speak in an unappealing manner, I will use my legs to drive him away. Because he was quiet, I marched inside the hotel and inquired at the front desk.
"Good evening, is there any remaining space?" I inquired of the woman.

"Yes, Ma'am, for a couple of users only," replied the American woman.

My nostrils widened as I heard what I heard. Marcus  then entered and took a stand behind me.

"Doesn't there happen to be another room?  Who didn't for the couple? " I asked the woman again, but her gaze was fixed on Marcus, who was standing behind me.

The hotel has a lot of space. Why is he obligated to stand behind me? She might have wondered why I was looking for a room with a single bed if I was with a man based on the woman's appearance.

"Nothing left for that one, Ma'am, There are many customers who checked into the hotel today, and you know, February isn't over yet," the woman explained.
I couldn't stop smirking.
"I apologize for the inconvenience; we were able to secure that room, Miss." My wife is in a bad mood. That is the reason. " Marcus chimed in.

This man has returned to his home address with me, who is supposed to be his wife.

"Don't ask too many questions; it's already late, so I won't accompany you to find another hotel," Marcus advised.

I noticed the person in front of us was perplexed, and Marcus whispered in my ear.

"Don't make it too obvious that you don't want to be with me, Gianna, because I've already been embarrassed," Marcus advised.

I fell silent and followed the woman with the key until we stop in front of the closed door. We went inside after the woman opened the door with the key. The view from inside our room astounded me. There's a candle near the bathtub, as well as a red rose scattered on the floor.

When I realized something, my cheeks flushed. The receptionist is correct. This room is reserved for couples who celebrate Valentine's Day in Los Angeles. The atmosphere in the room is lovely, and I notice a rose flower in the shape of a heart above the bed. Something strange happened to me. It occurred to me that I was here with Marcus to celebrate with him, but I quickly dismissed those thoughts. It was a bad idea for me to accept this room. I have a feeling something bad is going to happen to the two of us tonight.
I murmured to myself, "Behave, Gianna, and resist temptation."

Marcus then approached me.

"Are you all right, Gianna?" I overheard you saying something. "He inquired.

"There is nothing "This is my response.

I noticed that only the two of us were left in the room. Because of my deep thoughts, I was unaware that the hotel staff who had been with us had left. Gianna was deafeningly quiet. Does it also cause me to reflect on what I'm thinking right now? It was as if we were newlyweds in a rose-petal-filled room. It's as if we're on our honeymoon. I had the sensation of being unsettled. Shit! I had to keep myself in check.

I didn't want to send in the ambience of the surroundings because if yes, I would pull Gianna and lay her down on the bed, kissing her hard. The hotel bed had a nightgown on it, which I noticed. I took it, and it was as if I had fallen into a woman's dress on the floor. It is too thin, and when worn, the undergarments are visible. I had a feeling Gianna wouldn't wear this kind of clothes.

"We don't have replacement clothes, Gianna, and I know you won't wear this," I said, handing it to her.

She took it and looked at it. I was shivered by her reactions. She was stunning when she smiled too much. Her sudden laughter caused my heart to skip a beat. My head shook. I'm going to go insane if I don't control my emotions.

"I'm fine with this night tie, Marcus. So, how about you? "she asked, biting her lower lip.

Oh my! It's as if I'm going to swallow all my saliva, imagining what she'd look like if she wore that tiny night tie. Is this woman trying to flirt with me? If so, I'm going to drown myself in my feelings for her. Then I started gulping when she took a step towards me and whispered in my ears,

"I don't think anything will happen between us tonight, Marcus," she said.

I was left standing as she put the nightgown on my chest and walked into the bathroom, irritated by what she had told me.

So, Marcus, what now? You're blushing! My mind mocked me.

Shit! I dashed out of the room and went to the front desk on the first floor. I want to smoke to relieve the irritability in my body. I, too, expected something  to happen to the two of us tonight. That's why I forgot we weren't in a relationship. I heard the door close from where I was. Marcus might have considered going out. When I'm alone in a room with Marcus, I feel awkward. I immediately turned on the shower to cool down and began to warm up. Marcus and I should not be in the same room together.

I'll keep my cool because we don't have a relationship. Before anything else happened to the two of us, I was joking when I said I'd wear the hotel's thin nightgown. Inside my sling bag, I packed a blouse and a pair of not-too-thick pajamas. I was sitting on the couch near the front desk; many people who had checked in had left the room and sat here as well. On the other hand, someone asked me there.

"Does the room have a problem, sir?"

I didn't look at her, but I did respond.

"Nothing, the room is perfectly fine. I'm just stopping by for a moment "was my response.

"All right."

Then I heard the sound of a stick heel walking away from me. I exhaled a deep sigh. My brow furrowed as I checked my phone in my pocket and discovered that none of them had called. My children, too, as well as Lance. My phone then vibrates. Gianna sends me a message. She's looking for me, and the last word of her messages has an angry emoticon on it. I gave a small smile. She was exactly like a resentful wife. My head shook.

If I'm with this woman, I've forgotten my true age. I stood up and returned to our room. I pushed the door open to find Gianna seated in front of the food on the table. I noticed she wasn't wearing the night tie even though she was fully bathed. Perhaps she makes fun of me.

"What are you up to, Marcus? Stare at me until the clock strikes twelve o'clock? So  went into the shower room to take a bath so we could eat. " She said it with the tone of a nagging wife.

I took my night clothes and carried them into the shower room, opening the shower and removing my clothes. I felt better when the water soaked my body, as if the dust in my body was easily removed because I felt fresh. After a minute, I was done bathing.

I snatched the towel and wrapped it around my waist. Then I remembered Marcus might not have underwear, so I grabbed my wallet and went outside to buy some underwear for him. Later, I tried to ask the front desk if there was a small mall in this hotel. I step outside and make my way to the front desk.

"Please excuse me. Is there a small mall in this hotel? "I'd like to buy something," I ask.

"No, ma'am, but try going outside; there are some malls over there."

"Thank you," I say as I rush out the door. I looked to the side of the hotel and noticed a mini mall open during these hours. Maybe it's for hotel guests who check in. I went inside to look for some underwear.
I bought one pack and paid at the counter. I exited the mall at that point. I was already standing in front of the bathroom door. I took a deep breath and stood for a moment. I pushed open the door, but Marcus was still unable to leave the shower room. I rapped on the door.

"Marcus, please open the door. I've got something for you. "

Outside the shower door, I heard Gianna say something. I opened the door, took what she gave me, and then closed it again. My face flushed as I looked at it. She only gave me one pack of underwear. Despite my embarrassment, I smiled. It's nice that she remembered to get me something like this, but I can't think of anything to get for myself. Perhaps it is clean because it is new. I grabbed one and put it on. I then put on my pajamas and t-shirt. And I went out after wiping my wet hair with a towel.

Gianna was sitting across from me at the table.

"I'm done eating because you took so long taking a bath, and I'm hungry, so I just ate first," she explained. I take a seat beside her.

She smirked.

"The bed has a lot of space; why are you still here beside me?" she inquired.

I cracked a grin  and sniffed around her neck.
and sniffed around her neck.

"Your scent is addictive, Gianna," I told her.

"Your scent is addictive, Gianna," I told her. She rolled her eyes at me and motioned for me to go to bed. I was left to eat by myself.

Then I heard my phone ring, indicating that someone was calling.

"Someone called you; answer first," Gianna said to me.

Because she was suddenly quiet, I assumed she was sleeping. I took a look at it and realized that Maureen.
is calling.
My brow furrowed. Because it hasn't bothered me since the last time we ate at the restaurant, except now. What else does she need at this time? Then she called once more. I responded.

"Hello, Marcus, where are you?" she inquired on the other end of the line. Instead, I did not respond to her question.
"What exactly do you want, Maureen?  It's late in the evening. I'm going to bed "I stated.

"I just want to hear your voice; I miss you." "She stated,

I know she's drunk.

"You'd better get some rest, I know you're buzzed."

"No! I'm missing you!"

I inhaled deeply and slowly exhaled. This lady is extremely obstinate.
"Just tell me where you're hiding, Marcus. I'm still looking for you, but they have no idea where you're hiding. I went to your office, but Thompson was there; I walked into your house, but Lance was there; I asked your children, but they have no idea," she explained.

"Don't tell me you're with her!" she exclaimed.

"Don't even think about it, I'll ruin her life!"

My fists were clenched. "You're like my wife, Maureen, you're always checking up on me; no, you're a constraint; we're not in a relationship."
