Fifty-Four

We've arrived in the living room. Gianna was lurking inside the room. I'm not sure if she's afraid of me. Or she will avoid me.

"Didn't Gianna have any plans to go out?" asked Gianna's father.

"You can't force her, Daddy, you know she had another attitude stroke," Sheena said.

"When mommy hears you, Aunt Sheena, your happy days will be over," Marky said.

"Why, what can she do to me? She can't do that because I helped her take care of you and then you cried so much when you were young, so get organized," Sheena said, smiling at me. Then I returned the smile

Then Geoff popped up from his room.

"Where is your mother, Marky?"
I'm not sure what it is about this man that makes my blood boil. He nods as he looks at me. But I was not paying attention to him.

My son replied, "In the bedroom, Papa."

"What is she doing there? Didn't she know she had a visitor?" Geoff asked as he entered Gianna's room. When I saw him go inside, my brow furrowed. Are they getting too close now that she's let him into her room? Shit! I'm unable to unwind in my seat. I'd like to go inside so I can see what they're up to.

"Geoff, what are you doing here? You still have a flaw in me."
He gave me a friendly smile.

"Even if you have a child, that man still looks at me badly, and it's worse now that I'm in your room. Go out and face him before I die because of the way he looks at me."

"Leave him alone until I'm ready to face him "I stated.

"Okay", then Geoff came out of my room.

I looked at the time. It was eight o'clock in the evening, so I decided to go out. The surroundings are peaceful. Maybe they're all sleeping. I went to eat in the kitchen. I was perplexed as to why there was no light. But as I walked in, I just shouted when someone hugged me behind me.

"Oh my God! I think there's still a ghost," I was the only one who could say.

"Shh, don't just yell at me," Marcus said to me.

"You look like a ghost, why didn't you turn on the light, bastard?"
"Nothing. It's a good thing you thought of going out," he said, still hugging my back.

"Go to bed because it's late."

"I'll just wait for you. Didn't I tell you earlier that we should sleep next to each other, and it's a good thing I asked our son to sleep in the other room?" Marcus joked.

"Did I agree? I know I didn't," I asked.

Marcus laughed and then let go of my hug.
"You've been making a mistake for years, and now you don't want to fulfill my request? I've already forgiven you for hiding my son from me," Marcus said.
I became deafeningly quiet.

Marcus courted me for a year before I finally agreed, so we married and started our own family. My friends and I each have our own lives. Winter has a child. Pia, on the other hand, is the mother of two children. Geoff was also content with Helena and their unborn child. Marcus and I have three children, with a fourth on the way. Marky has two brothers and is already fifteen years old. I was hoping to have a daughter. Marcus built a house in Camp Saavedra, so we lived here.

I'm in the room right now to take care of him because he became ill.

"Sweetheart, I don't think I'll last long in this world," he said as I stared at him.

"Really? Stupid! You only have a fever because you got wet in the rain yesterday; you'll be staying on earth for long years and more, and you can still make me pregnant many times," I said. He winced.

"That's our last baby, and I know it's a girl because you're more beautiful now," he told me. I cracked a grin. He was correct when he said that if I gave him a chance, he would make me happy every day, so I was content with him.
He lavished me with love and attention.
There was a knock on the door.

Lucius, our youngest, yelled inside our room, "Mommy, let's eat." He then dashed down the stairs.

Marcus stood up and led me down the stairs, saying, "We're going to eat."
I noticed Marky frowning, particularly at Blake, our second child.
"Daddy, you just pretended to be sick so mommy could take care of you; don't you feel sorry for her, her stomach is so big," Marky pointed out.

"Shut up! You have no allowance from me," Marcus said.

"All right, I'll just ask for mommy," Marky said.
Marcus frowned as the three of them laughed. They sometimes prefer to joke with their father, but when Marcus becomes irritated, they abruptly stop.
After we finished eating, the kids dashed into their rooms.
Our children have grown up over the years. And Marcus is correct because our last child is a baby girl, whom I named Princess Marianna.

I'm overjoyed because Marcus and I will be together for many more years to come.
We're currently in the backyard, gazing at a star in the sky.
"Sweetheart, thank you so much for allowing me to be with you all the time; hopefully, we'll be together until the end." Marcus
"Of course, and thank you for giving me such handsome and beautiful children. And I hope you always understand me, and that you stay by my side until our hairs turn gray," I replied.
"I promise that no matter what happens, I'll always be at your back, side, and front. I take care of you every day and on our children," Marcus says.
"Marcus, I love you."
"I genuinely love you too, Gianna."

Our story does not come to an end here. We will face many trials in life, but we will face them together. Love is powerful, and we will face many obstacles in life. But love always finds a way to bring us back together in each other's arms.
