Nineteen

My aunt owes me a debt of gratitude. Because she loved and cared for me in ways that my other parents did not. I returned to the documents after being summoned by my aunt.

Pia entered a minute after the door opened. And I got up.

"Are you going to starve yourself? You wouldn't be standing there if I hadn't come here," she is frowning.

"Are you really hungry, or have you seen anything else?" I asked.

Only Rohit Khan can turn her into a beast mood.

"Whatever," she said as she walked out the door.

I take a deep breath and follow her.

When I noticed Pia, she was frowning outside the building.
"Don't give me life's concerns, Priya," I warned him, "since your problem doesn't fit in my container."

It didn't spill, and I wasn't dragged down the street as a result.
We were out of the restaurant in less than a minute.

It simply stood up and did not try to enter.

"Are you not coming in? I assumed you were hungry."

While walking inside the restaurant, she says,
"I'm heading in."

I followed her while shaking my head.

When I arrived, I rolled my eyes and looked around for a seat, but my attention was drawn to Rohit and a woman with curly hair. The woman is beautiful, but Pia is far more beautiful than Rohit's new woman.

When Pia approached me and placed the food on the table, I was already seated.
"How come you brought that, and where is the waitress?" I asked. She responded,
"I present myself to carry this because the waiter and server are both occupied."

“ I guess you've been kind now, maybe your misfortune is gone," I asked her.
"Not at all, Gianna, I haven't released it all yet." She answered me.
I laughed hard because of what she said,
"Your laughter is so loud, Gianna, we're in the restaurant not at home." She says.
I stopped laughing and looked around.

No one noticed my laughter because they were busy eating.
"Do you see what I see?" I asked her.

"Of course, that’s why I'm so annoyed earlier because her girlfriend goes to him at the office." She said in a low voice.
"Really?" I said to her.
"Yeah, they are so sweet to the extent that the ant bites my feet." She said, sarcastically.

I shook my head, knowing that this woman would never truly change. But I understand her since the habit is a protective mechanism for her because she is in pain. I'm sure she regrets breaking up with Rohit because she sees him happy with someone else.

"Are you okay? " she asked, a worried expression on her face.

"I'm OK, Pia."

“Let's eat fast, Pia, because it's afternoon, and I have a lot of work to do at the office."
So we may leave this restaurant because I don't want Pia to be wounded by seeing Rohit with another woman.

Half an hour later we ended up eating as well. I got up first and paid for our food. I saw in my peripheral vision that Rohit had not yet left the restaurant. I didn't notice that Pia was outside the restaurant.
I'm on the couch now and lying down.
I didn't notice the door open and I didn't know who had entered, because I had closed my eyes. I just noticed that something seemed to load above me like a heavy object. I opened my eyes and saw Maureen sitting on top of me. I was shocked at how she looked. Because she got over makeup on her face. I stood up suddenly and I pushed her hard and she sat on the floor.

"Ouch, that hurts. Is that why you hate me so much that you push me so hard? "she asked, her voice trembling.

"I'm sorry, Maureen, I didn't want to push you; I was startled since I fell asleep, and then you suddenly climbed on top of me; what should you expect me to do?" I lied.

"Marcus, come out with me," she said, standing up and taking a seat near me.
It's been a while since we ate together outside, she remarked, and I accepted her request out of boredom.

"All right," I said, her eyes twinkling as she heard what I said.

I'm not sure what this woman sees in me or why she's so madly in love with me.

"I hope what you're saying is true, Marcus. If it isn't, I'll cut off your things between your thighs."

" Take mercy on me, Maureen," I murmured, frowning.

It made her burst out laughing.
“I'll be waiting for you at the restaurant. I'll text you the address," she added as she rose and walked out the door, winking at me.
After she left, I gave her a big smile. This woman's attitude astounds me. Since then, we've known each other, but I've never seen anything in her that makes me like her.

She was constantly imposing herself on me. But I didn't like her. When it comes to Aurora, however, I'm getting kicked in the shins. When she isn't around, I get agitated. It's as if I'm back in my childhood when I'm with her. When I see her smile, I feel as though I'm being thrown around. When she approaches me and stares at me for a few seconds, I become nervous. It felt like a butterfly had landed on my stomach.

I'm going to screw with her again in a few days. It's five o'clock in the afternoon when I look at my watch. With my car key in hand, I stood up and went out of my office.

Before I meet Maureen, I'll go home first. I'm already in the parking lot of the workplace and getting into my car. I was awakened by the sound of my phone beeping.

When I looked at it, I noticed Maureen had texted me about the restaurant where we were going to meet.

I didn't respond to her text message. I then proceeded to enter my car. I'd already driven it back to my house. I arrived home one hour later. I no longer let the car in because I intended to use it later.

When I stepped out of the car, I noticed the house's gate was open.

I walked in and extended my head into the front door. Once I was inside the home, I noticed Aldo seated on the couch.

"What brings you here?" I asked him.
His brows wrinkled in concentration.

"I didn't hear you say that I don't have permission to come into your house anymore." I give him a kind grin.

"You're getting married tomorrow, I was just curious as to why you're here. " I asked him.

"I can't stay in that place for long, Marcus; it's as if I'm being pounded by the atmosphere," he told me.

"Aren't you going tomorrow to my wedding?" he asked.

"What am I going to do there? Your parents are present."

"My mother hit me, do you think they're still going?" he asks.

"Why?” I’ll ask.

“Of course, they question why are there so many women I can choose, why do I choose someone young to marry."

"Laila doesn't look young; she appears to have matured in comparison to her age," I said.

“They question me why we split up with my ex-wife nor live-in partner, He says to me.

"Getting married without someone who likes what you decide is incredibly difficult. However, Marcus, I’ll feel pity for your cousin and hope to save her from her predicament. If I don't, I'm confident your cousin won't be able to escape when her family wants her to marry an old man."

“Even if you back out of the wedding, Damien will cleverly hunt you, Lance, so you'll be forced to marry his daughter. " I warned him.

It nodded and inhaled deeply.

"I'll be compelled to go tomorrow if your parents don't appear."
I'm not ready to face them all after the conflict that occurred between us in the past. I'm sure they'll all be present at Laila's wedding tomorrow. I'm familiar with their kind; they drew attention to themselves by putting on a show and making people feel embarrassed.

He got up and said his goodbyes.

"Marcus, I'm leaving first, " he remarked as he walked out the door.

I nodded and went to get dressed in my room.

I was in the car with Pia at the time.

"Pia, please drop me off at the mall; I need to buy something today," I explained.

"I'm sorry, Gianna, I'm unable to be with you now." She adds,

"It's fine, I can handle it on my own," I said.

We were outside the mall in six minutes. After saying my goodbyes to Pi, I exited the car

As I walked into the mall, the guard smiled at me as I passed by, and I returned the smile. I'm heading straight to the towel aisle, where I intend to purchase two new towels to replace the ones I'm currently using.

I was inside the car when my phone rang in my pants. I answered it because Luca called.

"Hello, Dad, where are you?"

"I was just at home; Maureen and I were going somewhere today," I explained.
On the other end of the line, Luca yelled.

"I know, Aunt Maureen told me you and she had a date today," she laughed.

"Do you know why you're still asking?" I asked.

"Nothing, I'm just checking," she says.

"I just agreed because I'm bored with life," she says.

"Whatever," she says after hanging up the phone.

I chuckled and shook my head. Maureen liked to tell my daughter where we were going.
Following Luca's command, I started the car. Maureen then texted me. She claims she has been waiting for me at the restaurant for quite some time. I had already driven the car into town.
I arrived an hour later, directly across the street from the restaurant. I parked my car on the side of a posh restaurant. I exited after closing the car door. I noticed Maureen through the restaurant's glass wall. She frowned as she examined the timepiece she was wearing. As the guard opened the door for me, I went inside.

Later, Maureen noticed that I was approaching the table where she was sitting.

"Finally, Marcus," she said, kissing me on the cheek.
My grin twisted. "I'm sorry, there was traffic on the highway, so I didn't get here right away," I explained as I sat down.
Maureen made a motion to the waiter.

I was walking around looking for something to eat, and she decided to treat herself to a fancy restaurant because of her current salary.

I was about to enter the classy restaurant when my eyes were drawn to what I saw: my boss, Miss Maureen, and Marcus are inside, and I can see them from the inside due to the restaurant's glass wall. I'm sure these two have a relationship.
