Vanessa's POV

I can't really tell what I'm feeling right now.
Happy or sad or probably the both. Just looking at Isabella made me wanna slap her for no reason.

But why would Nathan agreed in having sex with her, knowing fully well that he was only gonna hurt her?

"Should we take her to the clinic? Deborah asked.

"No i don't wanna go" she screamed.

"Why? You need to be checked up on. You might have gotten some bruises from the rough penetration" Luna adviced but she wasn't taking any of it.

"They are gonna hurt my baby"

I widen my eyes in shock. How long has it been going on? Has Nathan been sleeping with her all these while? She's pregnant for him.

"Then was trying to make me his mate, why telling me he loves me, when he knows he's gonna be a father soon" i thought, but what i heard next made me burst into a very hard laugh.

"I'm gonna be pregnant soon, i believe his seed is already inside of me" she said with all seriousness.

I couldn't stop myself from laughing. I took a glance at her and realized she's really very foolish.

"Isabella, what are you saying?" Luna asked when she couldn't take her childishness anymore.

"Luna, soon you're gonna be a grand mother" she said trying to get up but her legs gave way and she fell flat.

"Oh my baby" she screamed. "I don't want anything to happen to my baby" she continued.

I've never laughed this hard in my entire life.

"What are you saying Isabella? Do you know if his seed is inside of you? Why are you acting so dumb?"

"I know you're gonna be jealous, just get out of here. I don't want you to kill my baby out of jealousy" she turned to the Luna. "Don't Worry Luna, i'm gonna be fine trust me" she ranted.

Even the look on the Luna's face could tell she really wanted to laugh but decided to refrain herself from doing.

I guess that's one duty of a Luna, you don't have to laugh at people's condition, either good or bad.

"Luna?"

"Yes Nessa, what is it?" she asked her eyes not leaving Isabella's side.

"I would be going out to get some stuffs for myself"

"Are you going alone?"

"No, i would be going with Deborah and her sisters"

"Okay, but make sure to return on time".

"Sure Luna, see you later. Deborah, let's go" i dragged Deborah along with me.

Few minutes later, we were all set to leave. We got outside. After a little walk, we flagged down a taxi and got in.

"Central market" It was Deborah who told the taxi man.
He nodded his head and off we go.

Some minutes later we were still in the taxi. I turned towards Deborah.

"Aren't we there yet?"

"In few minutes we're gonna be there, don't worry"

Gabriella and Daniella has been quiet since we started the journey. None of them said a word.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, we're fine" Gabriella said. Her voice was so dull.

The taxi driver signalled us of our destination.

"Oh finally" i stepped down and Deborah followed suit before Gabriella and Daniella, whi has been acting really weird.

We paid the taxi driver before walking into the mall.

I selected a few clothes, including Daniella and Gabriella. They both seems not to have enough clothes.

After what seems like forever, we were done with the clothes selection and we all went to the shoes section tpo select some shoe for ourself.

"Vanessa!!!" Someone shouted my name from behind.
Even if i've been gone for twenty years, i'd still recognize that voice. The voice of my only brother Alex.

"Alex?"

"Nessa" he ran towards me in full speed.

"What are you doing here?" i asked with my eyes solemnly on him.

"I should be asking you that. This is where we always get foodstuffs and clothes, have you forgotten?"

"How is mom and dad?"

Now I'm regretting why i came here today, i really don't wanna see anyone. And meeting Alex means one thing....Oh my

"Where is mom?" I asked cause i know Alex has never come to the market to get anything.

"She's been sick since you left" he said sadly.

"Where's she right now?"

"On her bed, where she's always been since your disappearance".

"Why is she sick, i thought she never wanted me?"

"I was just as shock as you when she told me of how she missed you"

Well i was expecting him to scold me but then i remembered he's not like those boys who usually scolds their sister over little thing.

"You need to come home with me"

"Why should i?"

"Mom really needs to see you, She's really missed you. I can't remember how many times she's cried since you left.

Now that actually got me. Mom has always nagged at me for no reason. Always reminding me of my flaws and all of a sudden she's missing me.

"Are you trying to make me go home with you? Cause if that's what you're trying to do then I'm sorry, i can't come with you".

"Why are you sounding like that? Have you ever seen me coming to the market?" he asked already getting annoyed with my questions.

"Okay, I've heard you. Let's go" i turned towards Deborah and her sisters. "Let's go together" i told them.

"Do you want us to come with you?" Daniella asked.

"Mate!" Alex whispered.

"What are you talking ab....." i was still asking when he ran towards Daniella. Engulfing her into a very tight hug.
"Mate... You're my mate" he kept chanting.

He held her tightly. Daniella on the other hand wasn't reciprocating the hug. She was just standing and looking at him.

"I don't need a mate" was the only thing she said before pushing Alex away.

"Why would you say that?"

"I still have somethings to do before settling down".

"What are those thing you wanna do that are more important than your mate?" Deborah asked.

"Taking down those who killed mother".

"That ain't the reason why you should reject your mate" i told her.

"It is, that is enough reason for me to reject him. I don't need a distraction". She answered. A lone tears fell from her eyes to her soft cheek.

"Daniella?" I called.

She turned towards my direction and i saw the pain in her eyes. She really meant what she said.

"Do you know why I'm here?" I asked.

"No" she whispered.

"I'm here because i rejected my mate, because i was blinded by stupid love. And i don't want you to make the same mistake"

She bowed her head.

"I threw away our mate bond without thinking twice. And I'm still leaving in regret. I won't want you to pass through the same thing i went through" i patted her shoulder and drew her closer.

"But i wanna avenge my mother's death. I wanna pay them back for killing my mother".

"Don't you think i should be the one thinking of that?" Deborah asked.

"But you're not doing anything about it".

"No, I'm doing more than you can imagine. But i want them to be calm before striking. You don't have to reject your mate because of revenge"

Luckily we we're able to persuade her.
She ran towards Alex who was already looking looking dejected and engulfed him into a hug.

I saw a flash of surprise in his eyes before he finally reciprocated the hug.

"I just wish i was the one" Gabriella said using her hands to fan herself.

"Don't worry you're gonna get yours soon" Deborah assured her.

"Let's go what are you guys still waiting for?" Alex asked happily. His hands not leaving Daniella's own.
