He raised his head up to look at me like he was pleading for mercy.

I looked at hime and mouthed "eat your food"

He turned to look at the Luna and gave her a weak smile before taking a spoon full of food into his mouth, earning a thumbs up from me.

"Are you still mad at me?" He mouthed back.

I shook my head as i picked an apple and handed it over to him.

He collected it with a smile. Just then i remembered the nightmare i had last night.

Why do i suddenly feel like going back to that pack.

I'm not gonna running forever, am i?

"I never knew you're still wise" Xina whispered in my head. I really don't know what this wolf actually wants.

This moment she's acting foolish and the next moment she'd be acting like a granny.

"What is actually wrong with you Xina?"

"You! You! You're actually wrong with me"

"How do you mean?"

"Why don't you wanna get a mate. Huh?"

"Is that why you're acting like a potato?"

"Can't you see I'm getting old already? Do you want me to die mateless?" She growled.

"We're still searching for our mate you dummy" i gnashed back at her.

"If it wasn't for the fact that you're beautiful, i would have asked the moon goddess for another mate" She retorted.

I could imagine her rolling her eyes in my head

I had no option but to shut her off. She's being a pest.

Looking around the table all eyes were on me including Nathan.

"Uhm..uhm...why are you all looking at me that way?"

I looked at the luna who was also looking at me with keen interest.

"You spaced out while i was talking to you" she said still not taking her eyes off me.

"How long did i space out?"

"Long enough for us all to finish our food" Nathan spoke.

"I uhm...i was having a conversation with my wolf" i defended picking up my spoon to resume eating as i really don't like the way they are looking at me.
Xina should be punished for this.

Always appearing at the wrong time.

"What was it about?" Nathan asked

"Huh?"

What was the conversation about?" He asked again.

"We were talking about us?" I answered and he smile sheepishly.

"You were talking about us?"

"That wasn't what i meant"

"What do you mean then?"

"I and my wolf, were talking about ourselves"

"Oh" he mouthed feeling a little embarrassed.

"You need to finish up your food my dear" the luna said

"Yes, i will" i smiled at her as she patted my back before walking upstairs while i picked my spoon to continue eating.

I turned to face Nathan "i would like to have a word with you"

"Go ahead" he nodded.

"Privately you dummy"

"Why have you been calling me that lately?"

"Cause that's what you are"

"Finish up your food, let's head to the garden"

I delved into my food like i was been chased by those monsters in my dream.

"I'm done"

"That was very quick" he got up from the chair and headed outside while i trailed behind him.

We got to the bench where we normal seat whenever we wanna discuss about something.

He sat down creating a space for me to sit.

"So what do you wanna talk about?"

"It's about me going back"

He turned to look at me with his eyes wide open.
He looked frightened.

"Are you crazy? Why would you wanna go back to that den?"

"I know whatever i say will make no sense to you right now. But i just wanna let you know that i will be leaving tomorrow at dawn"

"Are you insane? You have no friend over there and you know those people are evil and there's no one to watch over you"

"I'm really sorry but I've made up my mind"

"Why do you wanna leave? Aren't you happy staying here?"

"Off course i am but i can't keep running forever beside that pack is like my home and i feel this connection whenever I'm with the masked Alpha. I know this sounds crazy but i think i love him already"

"You love him already? Someone whose face you've never seen before and you already loved him. What's wrong with you Nessa? Have i not been good enough? Don't you feel anything for me?"

"No i don't. Can you stop making me feel guilty?"

"What have i done to you Nessa? Where have i gone wrong?"

"You've done nothing wrong. I just don't feel the same way you do" i told him plainly and walked back inside.

While going upstairs, i met Deborah,she was looking pale and sad.

"Hey Deborah" i waved at her

"Nessa, can i have a word with you?"

"Sure" i turned to face her.

"Are you seriously leaving?"

"Listen Deborah, i didn't just wake up one morning and decided to leave. I have my reasons".

"Are you coming back?"

"Sure, i will visit during weekends" i smiled at her.

"I just felt like you're leaving forever"

"Why would you say that?"

"You're going there to look for your mate"

"But that doesn't mean I'm leaving forever okay?"

"I'm gonna miss you"

"I'm gonna miss you too" i engulfed her into a tender hug.

"I really need to start arranging my stuffs"

"Sure, sorry for wasting your time"

"You don't have to be"

I ran upstairs to get things done before nightfall

I also knew Deborah is in love with Nathan.

She'd really be sad if they don't end up together.
That's one reason i need to leave.

After arranging my stuffs into my bag, i went downstairs for dinner.

It's really gonna be hard telling the Luna of my intentions to leave the pack.

She has always treated me as a daughter.

I summoned the courage to go downstairs

They were already seated, silent eating their food.

"I guess I'm late for dinner" i chuckled.

"I heard you'll be leaving tomorrow" it was the Luna who spoke.

"Ye..s Luna"

"I'm not against the idea of you leaving, I'm only worried. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you"

"I promise to be careful, nothing is gonna happen to me"

I suddenly lost the appetite to eat.

"Can i come along" Natha asked.

"No, you don't have to worry"

"But i want to"

"And i refused. Why don't you just rest. I'm gonna be fine"

"Nessa, can you just let him take you there?" Luna asked.

I really couldn't say no to her"

"Okay, as long as he isn't stressing himself"

"I'm not stressing myself" he defended

I knew fully well that i was leaving this night.

After dinner i retired back to my room"

"You should have at least kissed him" Xina spoke.

"Just shut up and let me think" i growled before cutting her off the second time.

I waited till everyone has retired to their room before throwing my bag down the window.

I managed to jump out.
I took my bag and headed into the woods.

What if my nightmare come true. What am i gonna do?

I never thought of that before leaving the castle.

I hastily walked into the woods, letting the leaves flag my face as i kept running

"You don't have to be scared those are jist nightmares" Xina whispered.

"This is actually the second time you've said something reasonable" i hissed.

I kept running till i was losing my breath slowly.

And finally i was there standing in front of the castle.

I took a deep breath before walking in.

There was no noise nor footstep just water splashing from the bathroom of an empty room.

"Anybody here?" I asked as i kept walking in.

Soon i was at the door step of the room as i pished the door open.

I was met the the nakedness of a man he was still bathing like he has no idea that someone just walked in.

I immediately retreated outside bit just as i was about to close the door, i heard his voice.

"You're finally back" he turned to face me.

I was dumbstruck when i saw who it was.

"Ro..ro..m.. How...did..you.." I stopped when i saw those eyes.

Those eyes that always made me wet.

"Yes this is me" he smiled still not ashamed of standing naked.

"What happened how did you get here?"

"I can't say"

"I thought you left the pack"

"Definitely"

I knelt down, joining my two trembling hands together.

I couldn't even find the right words to say.

"I'm really sorry Romeo..I'm sorry for hurting you back then. I'm sorry for rejecting you. I did all that because i was blindly in love"

"I understand, you don't have to plead"

"No let me plead for i know that I've wronged you"

"But I'm not mad at you"

Now i actually knew why he said said something about me rejecting him again.

"Can we go to my room? He asked raising me up from the ground.

"Are you gonna reject me also?" I asked him curiously.

"Not in this life. I've always loved you Nessa. And always will.

"But why did you allow Anna and Meredith to humiliate me?"

Talking about them i turn to look around"

"There are no longer here if that's what you wanna hear"

"What happened? I thought you were in love with Meredith?"

"No i wasn't all those act was just a plan"

"Where are they now?"

"The dungeon"

"Dungeon?"

"Yes, where they are supposed to be"

"I really don't know what to say"

"You don't have to say anything. How has my brother been treating you?

"What are you talking about?"

"Nathan, how has he been treating you?"

"I sti don't get, is he your brother?"

"Yes, but not really my brother from the same mother"

"That explains why i don't know him"

He held my face in his soft palm as he looked deep into my eyes.

"I hope you ain't leaving like before?"

"Never" i chuckled. Deep down i felt really bad for rejecting him in the first place.

And now I'm gonna amend all I've done.
All my mistakes I'm gonna correct them.

I looked up to him before placing my lips on his. Savoring the moment.
I never knew this day would ever come.

"I love you Nessa" he whispered in my ears
"I love you too Romeo"

I could feel Xina wagging her tail as he walked me to the bed.

I could only wish for no more troubles after this and wherever Jason is, I've forgiven and i hope he's happy.

I couldn't ask for more being in the arms of my mate.
