Writer's POV

"Were you able to trace her?" The unknown, asked the man at the other end of the phone.

"Yes, i was able to trace her to an abandoned building inside the woods" the man at the other end answered with whisper.

"What have you gotten so far?"

"She's here to see a man"

"I know she was there to see a man, whay are they doing? What's their discussion? I wanna know all they've said since she got there" he growled.

"My ears are wide open for their discussion, but for now they're still having their drinks"

"Okay, i want you to stay there and listen to all they have to say. Never miss anything, i need to know what step to take next".

"As the Alpha pleases"

"I'm gonna hang up now, got something very important to handle" he said before disconnecting the call.

He flinged the phone back to the sofa where he picked it from.

"This is more complicated than i expect" he growled to himself as he took the bottle of whine frm the bar.
Pouring some into a glass cup, he sipped a little and dropped it back.

"Why is everything taking so long and why is my brother not here yet? He told me he was gonna be here, then why is he not fucking here" he asked no one in particular.

He sat on the stool in the mini bar, sipping his whine slowly. Not thinking of anything but her.

Why am i even doing all these things just to get her back when she clearly doesn't even wanna see me?" He thought aloud.

He was already dozing off on the stool when a maid walked up to him.

"Someone seeks your presence, Alpha king" she bowes a little.

"And who could that be?" He asked glaring at her like she did something wrong by waking him up.

"I'm sorry Alpha, but he said he wanted to see you and has refused telling us the reason for his visit" she trembled.

"What incompetence" he banged loudly on the table. "is this what i hired you to do?"

"I'm sorry Alpha king" she said shivering out of fears.

"Sorry for yourself" he glared at her one more time before he finally said. "Take me to him".

She walked as fast as possible, trying to create a space between them.

They got to where the visitor was and she quietly left leaving the both of them alone.

"Nickolas" he called as they shook hands.

"What an Alpha you've become" the other mans said with happiness".

"What brings you to my castle, i vividly remembered the last time we met and how you treated me" the Alpha said.

"Can't you forget about the past and move on?"

"Easier said than done so what brings you here?"

"To see my old friend".

"We i don't think you're at the right place. Cause i don't really have any friend. You might be mistaken me for someone, i plead to take my leave now".

He got up and wiped some dirty off his expensive black T-shirt before walking out.

"Not like i care anyway, i was only here to see how you grow your pack Nickolas whispered and the Alpha heard it but decided not to say a word to him.

Vanessa's POV

After lots of discussion and and jokes. I knew it was time for me to leave.

"Dad, i think we should be on our way"

"Why, Isn't that too early? I mean, you just came now"

He frowned his face like he was gonna cry any moment from now if i don't console him.

"Dad, i never said i would be gone forever. I'm gonna come back tomorrow to see mother".

"Is that a promise? I wouldn't want you to say something you can't do"

"Don't worry, i'll be here tomorrow" i gave him a brief hug before walking out with Deborah and Gabriella.


After a long drive we finally got home, only to meet Nathan at the entrance. pacing up and down.
Like he was deep in thought.

"Why is the Alpha like that?" Deborah asked.

"I don't know, maybe something is wrong or has he actually been waiting for us?"

"I don't know either. You can go and ask him yourself" she suggested.

"I can't do that beside you saw what happened earlier. I don't wanna talk to him" i said as i dragged her along with me.

"Where have you guys been?" He asked from behind. making us stop in our track.

"We went to get something" Deborah answered in place of me.

"For how long have you been gone?" He asked. His face not smiling as he kept looking between me and Deborah whose head was down all these while.
