After Nathan's confession, we began avoiding each other or am i the one avoiding him? I really don't know what to say to him anymore

I found myself so drawn to him and the same time not trusting him. What if he just want something from me and when he gets that, he'll leave.

It was already time for dinner and i went downstairs to join the rest in the dinning.

I delved into my food and was eating in silence.
I raised my head up and caught him staring at me with keen interest.

Now he's making me uncomfortable, I'm slowly losing my appetite but if i should leave now, the Luna might suspect that something is going on.

I nearly jumped of my skin when i felt something touching my feet under the dinning.

Wait did i say something? That was Nathan's leg. What does he want from me this time.

"What is it? I whispered to him, But was surprised to find everyone looking at me.

I totally forgot they could all hear me and this is Nathan's fault. If he hadn't touched my feet, i would still be eating in peace.

Isabella wouldn't stop rolling her eyes at me. Which I'm already used to.
Her glares doesn't scare me anymore, not like i was scared before.

I forgot they were all looking at me and continued eating, till the Luna called my attention.

"Nessa, is there anything you would like to say?" She asked, dropping her cutleries on the table and pour her attention on me.

Everyone also did the same, including that dickhead Nathan.

I could see his face already red from the laugh he's been hiding.

"What? No, there's nothing i wanna talk about" I answered her. Not stopping my glares on Nathan.

"Are you sure or is Nathan asking you not to say it?"

Now i know where she's actually driving at.
Wait, was it really Nathan who touched my feet or Luna?

I turned to look at her. She was also trying no to laugh. I looked around and everyone was having the same impression including Deborah.
Isabella was the only one who looked like she was gonna burst any moment from now.

I turned to look back at the Luna.
I screamed as something touched my feet again.

When i realized what i just did, i glared at Nathan to stop whatever he was doing.

But he kept looking at me like an idiot. I looked at Deborah and signalled her to tell me what was going on. But like the rest, she was just looking at me and smiling at the same time.

Thia is so ridiculous, i mean what is actually happening and why is everyone laughing at me?

I decided to push everything to the back of my mind.
I delved my spoon inside my already cold food and continued eating.

All of a sudden, i felt something slippery coiling itself on my feet.

I can't take this any more. I have to see who's trying to play a prank on me.

I quickly bend my head below the dining table. I don't wanna give that person any chance.

I looking around the table but there was no one beneath. Until i looked at me leg.

I don't know how loud i screamed until i saw the guards trooping in with speed.

"Take it off, take it off" i kept chanting and screaming.

I looked at everyone but they were all seated like they didn't hear me.
Deborah tried getting up, but a glare from Nathan sent her back to her chair.

"I thought you said nothing was wrong?" The Luna asked with sarcasm written in her voice.

I looked down at my leg and saw the giant white snake already crawling to my tight.

"I thought nothing was wrong" I answered as fast as i could. I really need this thing to be taken off my body.

"Nathan come and take this off" i yelled and glared at him at the same time. But he wouldn't bulge. He kept sitting like i never called him.

Just then i turned towards the direction of the guards and signalled them to come and save me, but they all drifted back as Nathan glared at all of them.

"Take this thing away, I'm allergic to snakes" As soon as it left my mouth, i was the horror in Luna's eyes, including Deborah.

Nathan walked close to me, he squat down and loosen the snake from my tight before taking it out.

I stood up and ran like a mad person to my room.

I closed my door behind me as soon as i got in. But before i could run into the bathroom, a knock came on the door.

"Who is there? Say whatever you wanna say and go. I wanna take my bath" i said and heard Natha chuckled.

"I'm really sorry for what happened, Deborah told us it was your birthday today, so we wanna surprise you" He stopped to take a breath, then he continued. " I thought of buying a pet for you, so i bought a snake...."

A snake? How is snake a pet?" I cut him off.

"Ciara loved them, she always wanted a snake so i thought you'd also love them. I never knew you were allergic to snakes. If i had known, i wouldn't have gotten it" he explained.

"Is that an excuse? Cause if it is then I'm not buying it" I said before entering the bathroom. I need to wash the snake smell off my body.

Oh my, i feel so dirty right now.

"Why didn't you check earlier? When you felt a touch beneath the dining table, weren't you supposed to check what it was? Xina snapped at me.

"Just shut up, how was i to know it was a snake and not not someone's foot" i barked at her.

"Whatever it was, you should have checked. You were so dumb thinking it was Nathan's doing and now it turned out to be a snake" she snorted.

"I think you're now growing wings that you now talk to me anyhow you wish. I'm gonna cut off those wings soon" I snorted back before blocking het from saying further.

She really doesn't know when to say something, she always say whatever she feels like saying even when i don't wanna hear it.

I spent hours in the bathroom trying to wash that snake touch out of my body, and now my skin was already pink from the scrubbing but i don't wanna stop.

When i felt like I've done enough, i finally walked out of the bathroom.

I looked at myself on the mirror and was surprised at how pink my leg and face is.

I creamed myself and wore my clothes before walking out of my room to meet Deborah.

Once again i saw that creepy man. He attention was solemnly on me. Like he's seen me some where.

I walked away like i never noticed his eyes on me.

I walked downstairs only to meet the hall already designed and well furnished.

The chandeliers hung around the hall.

"What celebration are we having?" I asked no one in particular as there was no one in sight.

All of a sudden the lights turned off and i was met with darkness.

I could feel my heart beating like they was come out from me chest.

"What if that creepy man is doing all these? Where are the rest? Why is there no guard in sight, just him? Am i gonna die today?" I felt my body fidgeting.

I just came out of the shower but i was already sweating profusely.

I walked quietly trying to locate the switch, but it seems impossible as my hands couldn't reach any.
At that moment i knew i was gonna die.
