Chapter 16: you mean Lix?

Ariel's face turned red at the thought of begging for mercy under him. Lucas smells her arousal in the air and the demon in him start rising so he decided to drop the conversation after not hearing any other word from Ariel.
" I will introduce you to my parents first thing tomorrow morning" Lucas said and Ariel's eyes pops out of their sockets.
What did he mean by Introducing her to his parents? She didn't agree to be his mate or marry him in the first place
Lucas have already planned to show Ariel to his parents especially his mother who has been asking him to get a maid.
" I disagree" Ariel said and Lucas turned to look at her
" Why?" Lucas asked and Ariel remains quiet. She don't even know how to answer that question, she don't just want to see anyone.
" Ariel you can talk to me. Is there anything bordering you?" Lucas asked with concern in his voice and his face calm.
" I'm hungry, get me something to eat" Ariel changed the topic of discussion. She really don't have anything to tell Lucas. What if his mother doesn't likes her ? She don't even want his mother to like her anyway. Maybe she can think straight if she eats some sweet food.
" Alright" Lucas reply sadly when he finds out Ariel didn't only change the topic of discussion but also hiding things from him.
He returned back few minutes later with a tray containing of meats and eggs. He placed the tray on a stool and drag it close to the bed . Ariel's stomach rumble at the sight of the food. Her mouth became itchy to take a bite of those spicy meat. She inhale the aroma and gently sat down on the bed.
She put a piece of meat in her mouth and chew it while closing her eyes. Lucas finds her amusing and cute when eating especially when she close her eyes and her long lashes casting a shadow on her face.
Lucas felt its the right time to ask her about some certain things since she is in a good mood.
" Ariel" Lucas called and Ariel mumbled with "hmm"
" Who is that girl you were with at the hotel?" Lucas asked and Ariel swallowed the chewed meat in her mouth.
" Oh you mean Lix?" She asked dropping her guard.
After that night of the incident Ariel haven't set her eyes on Lix and she didn't worry about that because they were not friends anyway and she is the last person she will think of.
" Yes Lix" Lucas answered pretending to know Lix
" Is she your sister?" Lucas asked cautiously not to piss her off.
" She is not my sister and she is not my friend" Ariel said filling her mouth with meats. She didn't even bother to touch the eggs, she just focus on the meat because it was well garnished to her taste. If she successfully escape from the pack, the first thing she will missed most is the pack food. They really know how to cook better than the people outside.
" But you were with her at the hotel that night" Lucas said looking perplexed.
' how can the girl at the hotel not be her sister or friend? If she is not her sister or friend, then who is she to her?' Lucas thought
" Yes I was with her at the hotel. She asked me to drive her to the hotel. She had a cut in her palm so I couldn't reject her request even if she wasn't really nice to me. " Ariel said filling her glass with red wine.
" Where did she get the cut?" Lucas asked curiously and Ariel gulp the wine down In a go.
" Eva birthday party of course! She was assisting the maids In the kitchen when she cuts her palm with a knife. So I have to drive her to the hotel with her car where she treated me to a drink as an appreciation" Lucas eyes became deep and dark after listening to her. It's obvious Lix is the culprit behind those photos.
' don't ask her any other question again Lucas ,she might not say any other words again' uzo said in Lucas head and Lucas gave Ariel a smile .
He mind link his beta Athonio and Athonio respond immediately.
" Did you find any information about the name Coker?" Lucas asked curiously but felt disappointed when Athonio said no.
" I haven't seen any information related to the name Coker. Are you sure you got the right name?" Athonio asked through the mind link.
" Yes Athonio, she said her family name is Coker" Lucas reply taking a glance at Ariel who just shove the last pieces of meat in her mouth.
" Okay I will go deep into it" Athonio said and Lucas somehow felt like doing the investigation himself but he don't want to leave Ariel alone in the pack even if it's safe for her. He needs to always watch her before she puts her silly plans into action. Who knows, she might run into the wood by herself and get hurts by the strange beings in the woods and that's only if the warriors at the gate let her out.
" I have another task for you too" Lucas said telepathically..
" What's that?" Athonio asked
" Investigate the name Lix" Lucas said but only the name Lix won't help the investigation faster,
" Lix?" Athonio asked
" Yes Lix, she's the girl with Ariel at the hotel that night. If possible tell the hotel security to show you the CCTV footage from a month ago" Lucas said
" How do I identify your mate in the CCTV footage?" Athonio asked. He hadn't even see Lucas mate since she arrive in the pack.
" Come by in the night, I will introduce you to her" Lucas said and turned to look at Ariel who is already sleeping peacefully on the bed like a baby.
" Alright, I will come around " Athonio replied and the mind link was broken.
Somewhere in the pack, Clarissa Sat on her bed thinking about what Hera told her earlier. Earlier today when Hera runs away after seeing Lucas approaching the window, she hurriedly went to look for Clarissa. Clarissa is an alpha in Alusca pack. She is 25 years old and alpha Lucas chosen mate by his mother last full moon. Everyone believes she will be the Luna and her expectations are very high.
" Clarissa" Hera called as she run into her room.
Clarissa who just finished taking her bath turned to look at Hera with her damp orange hair and grey eyes.
" Hera, who is chasing you?" Clarissa asked looking towards the door
" Nobody Clarissa" Hera said as she sat on Clarissa bed.
