Chapter 26: Sicky Ariel

Ariel glare at him as if telling him to open his eyes so that he can see what she's trying to say.
" It's not safe out in the woods mate. Don't do anything silly" Lucas said again with his eyes still closed adjusting his hand on her waist. Ariel couldn't hold it anymore and she threw up on his body on the bed.
Lucas quickly jerked uoup when he felt those warm sewage on his skin and the smell alone made him snap his eyes open almost immediately.
Ariel wiped her mouth with the back of her palms but still felt the urge to throw up again. She quickly pushed his hand away and run into the bathroom where she felt like her belly is going to pull off from throwing up.
" Argh"
Lucas groaned and ran after her into the bathroom where he push her hair backward and Pat her back gently.
" Are you alright?" He asked worriedly and Ariel threw up again when she was about to say something.
He washed her face with cold water and also rinse her mouth with it. He wonder what could have went wrong that made her throw up so early in the morning.
Ariel don't see anything the pack doctor is doing. Her body still remain the same as before and she missed her home where she has all the medical equipment to attend to herself and find any risk in her pregnancy. Here the pack doctor just come and do nothing.
Lucas lead her to the couch where she lay down lazily and Lucas quickly pack the bedsheets and take them to the bathroom. He washed his arm where she threw up on before joining her in the room.
" How are you?" He asked with concern in his voice and Ariel just close her eyes and remain quiet. She don't think she has the strength to answer his questions for now.
" I guess you're fine" Lucas said and try to look for Uzo his wolf who had change his name to Artemis a feminine name on his head but it seems like he is still sleeping so Lucas just let him be. Uzo don't like it when Lucas calls him Uzo. He prefer Artemis to Uzo and that's why Lucas has been calling him Artemis.
Lucas sense his mother presence around and quickly rush towards the door before she will make a fuss and come in. He know his mother is always up to no good and there's no way he's going to let her into the room and see Ariel in this state.
He open the door and place his hands blocking the entrance of the door.
" Seems like the castle is very boring for you Luna" Lucas said mockingly and his mother glare at him before smiling warmly at him.
" Yes bored without my son" Luna Alice reply with a sad expression and Lucas just raised his brows at him without saying anything.
" I have good news for you son" She beamed and Lucas raised his brow slightly. Even his mother can't deny the fact that he drives her crazy sometimes but then she have to remember herself that he is her son and she shouldn't fantasize crazy things about him.
" Your good news is always my bad news. So what bad news do you have for me? " Lucas asked and the Luna looked pissed off with his attitude. She wanted to go inside, sit down and talk to him well but since he is blocking the entrance with his tall figure, she is not going to bother him and besides it's too early for dramas.
" I told the alpha that you have found a mate and he was so happy. So he said you should return to the castle with your mate before the mating ceremony" Luna Alice said calmly and a smirk appeared on Lucas face. How is that a good news? Returning to the castle when he already made up his mind not to return but rather live his life with Ariel and their unborn child here in his room.
" What mate's name did you mention?" Lucas asked curiously even when he already know what his mother said.
" The sweet beautiful wolf. Clarissa of course" She reply flicking her hair backward.
" Our discussion is over. Have a nice day" He shut the door on her face and walk back inside the room to meet Ariel who was wondering what he is doing at the door for almost six minutes.
Ariel gave him a suspicious look before looking away.
After bringing meals for Ariel, he put her to bed again so that she can rest before going out to carry out his alpha duties and to go into town to run an investigation on Lix.
Ariel opened her eyes and look around the room lazily to see if Lucas is around. She look at the table to see if he left a note for her and as usual, there was a note on the table.
" I'm around the pack and can see all your movements. So don't act silly" the note read and Ariel rolled her eyes in frustration. She tore the note out of anger and got up from the bed.
' must he monitor me all the time' she thought to herself as she walked into the bathroom to have her bath.
Few minutes later she was done bathing and changed into a pair of jeans trouser and a white big T-shirt with her hair falling loosely on her back.
He walked towards the door and find it locked. Did he plan on locking her indoors all day?
" You will pay for this" Ariel grumbled with her pouty lips and walk back to the bedside. She opened the drawer and found two pare of keys inside. A smile appeared on her face as she took the keys and walk back to the door. The door clicked open when the key came in contact with it and Ariel leapt up in joy almost stumbling and falling.
" Who said you can lock me indoors all day Lucas Graco. In case you don't know who you're dealing with, I'm Ariel Coker" Ariel mocked placing her hands on her waist before twirling outside.
" Today I'm leaving this pack" She mumbled more like a vow with her eye glistering.
