Chapter 21: I'm a human, nothing is strange about me

"Alright Hera, I hope your friend can be trusted" Ariel said and Hera nodded with a smile on her face.
" My friend can be trusted more than me" Hera reply
" Thank you Hera" Ariel smile and pinch her cheeks.
" I have to go now" Hera said and hurriedly rush towards the window and jump down without saying goodbye.
" What a silly cute little girl" Ariel said as she pull off her shirt and walk into the bathroom with only her panties.
" I'm the only one in this room, so why should I wear clothes around" Ariel said to herself as she push the door to the bathroom open.
She climbed the already filled bathtub with water and relax in it with the steam and bubbles covering her body.
" This is so thoughtful of you Lucas but it won't change my heart towards you. You must pay for what you did to me, it doesn't matter if I'm carrying your baby. Just wait let me get out of this place first"
She remain in the bathtub until the water start turning cold. Ariel got up and wrap a towel around herself.
" Lucas Lucas Lucas" Ariel sang with Lucas name as she saw a lingerie hanging on the bathroom wall with a note pined to it.
" You are good at writing notes so what do you have in that note this time around?" She ask and unpin the note from the lingerie.
' I want you to wear this tonight' the note read and Ariel scoff.
" Lucas, you sure have a good taste but why do I feel like there is more to this?" Ariel said as she pick the lingerie and place it on her chest.
Ariel walked back into the room with the lingerie on.
" That looks good on you" Lucas said out of nowhere and Ariel was startled.
' when did he come inside?' Ariel ask herself silently as she can't remember seeing him in the room before she went into the bathroom.
' does it mean he heard everything I said?' She cover her mouth with her palm.
' that means.. no what if he heard what I said is he going to kill me?' She uncover her mouth and turn to the direction Lucas voice came from.
" Hmph I guess that is what you want" Ariel said and walk towards the couch.
" Yeah that is what I want. I want my mate to look good for me"Lucas said and Ariel scoff
" You didn't eat the meal I prepared for you" Lucas said as he noticed that the meal were untouched and only few of the apples were eaten.
" Why should I eat something you prepared? I don't trust you you Know that very well" Ariel said and Lucas wolf groan.
' our mate is very annoying' Artemis said and Lucas hush him.
' our mate is annoying and I love her for that' Lucas hush Artemis and the wolf just remain quiet.
" I won't let you starve my baby, so get your ass here and eat" Lucas said with an indifferent tone and Ariel couldn't help but chuckle. She hasn't seen this side of him and she kinda love it. A possessive baby father.
" Oh Lucas I can't get my ass off. Do you mind helping me?" Ariel said lazily and Lucas couldn't help but admire her cute lazy voice.
" Then I will be glad to help" He stood up and walk towards the couch. Ariel became nervous as Lucas approach her.
" I can get my ass off by myself just step back" Ariel said as she stretch her hands forward. Lucas stopped Walking and wear a smirk on his face.
" Are you nervous? I'm not going to bite you" Lucas said as he shrug his broad shoulders. He still don't like it when Ariel tries to distant herself from him.
" That doesn't change the fact that you are a wolf and what does wolves do? They bite and they have paws so I'm not trading my life for that" Lucas heart stings when he heard what Ariel said. Yes he is a wolf and also a human but that doesn't mean he hurts everyone that come his way. He is not like those Escovar pack wolves. Alusca wolves are different. He felt somehow sad and didn't know how to react and it obvious Ariel doesn't have any single feelings for him and for the fact that his is a wolf makes her hates him more.
' Are you going to listen to the nonsense she is saying? You Know that she is a half breed because I know she is not a complete human and I don't know if her other half is a wolf' Artemis said and Lucas walk back to the bed dejectedly. He sat on the bed and remain quite for a while. Yeah something is strange about Ariel and what they don't really know is if she is a half wolf and a half human.
' you are right Artemis' Lucas said to his wolf as a sigh escape his lips.
" So what are you Ariel? I'm a wolf what about you?" Lucas ask as he turn his attention back to Ariel.
Ariel remains quiet for a while and didn't know what to say. Ariel knew something is strange about her but she really don't want to know what exactly that is as she enjoy being a human. A lot of people have said she is a vampire while some says she posses the aura of a witch but she really don't believe any of this as her mother didn't tell her anything about her. Her mother whom she haven't seen for a long time only believes she is the reason behinds her father's death and she thinks maybe that is the strange thing about her.
" I'm a human, yeah I'm a human and nothing is strange about me. You are the only different person here" Ariel reply softly after a while of brief silence.
" Do you really think nothing is strange about you?" Lucas ask again and Ariel got up from the couch and walk towards the window.
" I don't think so but the only thing strange about me is that my mother believes I'm the reason behind my father's death" She said softly as a sigh escape her lips. She still don't understand why her mother said she is the reason behind her own father's death and this is something that is killing her slowly as she has alot of questions that needs answers . Questions like who is her father? What happened to him, How did he die, did she kill him? and who exactly she is.
" What happened to your father" Lucas ask as he was very curious to know more about this mate of his.
" I don't know, I don't know him and I don't even get to meet him. I don't know if he is short, fat, slim or tall" Ariel reply as she try to hold her emotions back. Not knowing her father is one of the anguish she felt most. Sometimes she wish she can have a glimpse of him even if it's his photo but that wish is never gonna come true as she has been wishing for that since she was a child and now she is 24. This is one of the reasons she was desperate to find the alpha that got her pregnant when Irene told her to find him. She don't want her child to grow up without the love a father just like her or growing up without knowing what his or her father looks like.
" How about your mother?" Lucas ask and Ariel couldn't help but sigh. This are personal stuffs she don't want to talk about even if she needs answers to them.
" My mother I haven't seen her for years. Umm can we talk about something else" Ariel said as the cool night breeze blow her hair in the air. Lucas couldn't hold himself down and walk gently towards the window and stand behind her with her hair floating in his face.
' oh Artemis I feel like marking her' Lucas said as he stare at Ariel fair neck.
