“Yes,” she replied.

At this point, people were already gathered around us , having their own discussion about what had happened.

Most of the people there took her side as the situation seemed like I was.the one that bumped into her rather than her bumping into me.

“Can you imagine, people like her shouldn't be in a hotel like this. How come the security allowed her inside?” said an onlooker.

“they must have pitied her and let her stay in the hotel, cause I don't think she can afford the amount being paid in this hotel.”

“Does that even matter, don't you know who she bumped into?.” A man Inquired in the crowd.

Now he had.the attention of everyone present as he said, “you all may not know but the lady you are with right now is called Victoria Shaw.”

Immediately this word fell, the crowd went into uproar.

“Victoria Shaw! From.the Shaw family?”

“Yeah, that's right, they are one of the top families in the city with a large number of assets under their control.”

“What? The Shaw family.” Another repeated.

This went on for a whole and soon, everyone close to me began to move backwards.

At this point, I had realized what was going on. With how the information was being shared among the people present.

With how loud their voices were, I was able to gather the necessary information to know one or two things about her identity, but what do I care, I'm done being pushed around.

I looked around her with a mocking expression on my face, “just because I apologized to you doesn't mean that you can walk over me. Frankly I only apologized to you, so that I will be able to get to my destination on time without wasting my time on you but I wasn't expecting you to take advantage of it.”

Victoria Shaw suddenly burst into laughter, “what? I can't world over you? Who do you think you are? A person of no identity dares to challenge me.” She said in disbelief of what I had said.

Miss Shaw, you don't need to deal with bugs like this, let me handle it for you. A man said as he walked out of the crowd.

Looking at the direction of the voice, I saw a man dressed in black suit with a pot belly.

Victoria looked at him but she didn't say anything. It was obvious that she wanted him to handle it and also know why he volunteered.

Some people in the crowd kicked themselves in the leg, while some people began to speak to themselves about the man that just came out.

“I should have done that before him.”

“Well, that's who he is though, you don't need to kick yourself in the leg.”

“Really!”

“Yes, it is said that the Patrick family is the best in sulking onto powerful people which is also how they've gotten to their current position.” The man explained in a low voice.

Nodding in agreement with what he had said, a man chimes in. “Yes. That's James Patrick, he is one of the best in the younger generations with how good he is at taking advantage of other people's wealth and connection.”

Hearing all these conversations gave me an idea of who the young man in front of me is and the family he came from.

‘I have to be careful with how I handle the current situation’ I thought.

“How dare an ant like you refuse to do as the daughter of the show family has said. You should be happy, she is even asking you to kneel down and apologize.” he said.

“Oh, another dog has decided to do his masters bid.” I said without any emotion on my face.

“How dare you?” The man said in anger while gritting his teeth. “So what, being a dog for the Shaw family is much better than an ant like you. Who would dare to question the dog of the Shaw family but I'm afraid an ant like you can't even lick Miss Shaw's shoes as you might dirty it.” James claimed while glancing at Victoria to see her reaction and know if what he is doing is the right thing.

Seeing a slight smile appear on her face, he pumped up his chest with pride as a large smile appeared on his face.

I looked at him with pure disdain in my eyes but I couldn't afford to waste my time arguing with people like this.

“Instead of wasting my time here, why don't we check the CCTV camera to confirm what had happened earlier.” I suggested while staring at Victoria in the eyes.”

She flinched at this suggestion but before she could say anything, James had cut in. “How dare you accuse Miss Shaw of lying, who do you think you are?” he said
In a condescending tone.

I couldn't help laughing at this action.

“What's so funny?” James said as anger rose in him. “Okay, you want to get the manager, then I will grant you your wish.” he smirked.

“Well, that's fine by me.” I replied with a smile on my face.

Soon, the manager was called. In no time, the manager came to the midst of the crowd as that is where the issue is going on.

“What's going on here?” A voice boomed as the manager came around.

Smiling, James said, “manager Robinson, you are here. This woman has been causing trouble for your customers here, especially Victoria Shaw of the Shaw family.”

James knew that his Patrick family didn't have enough power to speak on the same level with the manager, so he decided to mention the Shaw family to make the manager consider aligning with him.

Manager Robinson raised his eyebrow at this comment made by James. He didn't really care about what James wanted but he cared more about the satisfaction of the daughter of the Shaw family.
