CHAPTER 46
Dialing my assistant's number once again, “hello, tell the Dalton group that the location of the meeting and time is fine by me.” I said, after which I hung up.

There was a big smile on my face, as I dropped the phone, “wow, that's a nice one.” I said to myself as I was really excited at the moment.

Walking ahead, I got to where my wine was stored, on getting there, I took a wine after checking different wine stores and picking the one I enjoyed the most.

Taking the wine, I took it and poured it into a wine glass in which I drank. “umm. This is definitely good” I said to myself as I sat down and enjoyed a good movie with chips.

They say a moment of enjoyment doesn't take long, it seems like it is true on this one as I had to drop everything I was doing at that time and began to work on the meeting to be heard the next day, so as not to allow my company to lose out while also creating a fair deal for both companies.

It was almost time for the meeting, I had to dress up as fast as I could and make my way to the meeting location.

Dressing up on time, I went to my car and drove off with my driver being the one to drive the car as I have to appear at the meeting with something that will show my company's power.

After some time, I got to the meeting location. Entering the place of the meeting, I entered the private room needed to hold the meeting.

After entering the meeting place, I realized that Dalton, the CEO of the Dalton group, was already there as he waited for me patiently with his assistant.

My assistant also could be seen sitting opposite the man while waiting for me.

Immediately she saw me, she stood up and said, “welcome sir.” She said as she gave me a respectful bow.

Not minding her in any way, I entered the room and sat down opposite Dalton.

He gave me a hard stare despite the fact that we are not really enemies, only that we run the same business.

Deciding not to meddle in the business discussion any longer, I sat there relaxed while staring at Dalton.

I didn't really get involved with the meeting at the end as the business dealing was done.

After the business deal was done, I shook hands with Dlatom and said a few words. “Now that we are working together, I expect that we will cooperate and get our business to the next level.”

“Same here,” Dalston said before retracting his hands.

Since the meeting with the Dalton group was done, I left with my assistant. ‘I hope I'm not mistaken as I seemed to see a snigger smile appear on his face after the contract was signed.’ I thought.

Shaking my head, ‘whatever, I won't worry about that for now, I will do what I had planned beforehand. Entering my car, I rolled down my window and said, “nice work,” I said simply as the car pulled away.

I didn't know how big those words were, but it's not like I care but I noticed a smile on her face that she couldn't hide.

Getting back to the mansion, I smiled to myself as I couldn't help but think to myself, “this is really nice, now I will be able to go to the hotel. You think going there won't allow me to come to the hotel? You are mistaken.” I said with a smile on my face.

“I guess it's time to visit you Ryan.” I said to myself but a thought occurred to me, ‘why will she even listen to me? It's not like she owes me anything in the first place.’

‘Maybe if I had chosen her to begin with, this wouldn't have happened. What are you thinking Aiden, you need to get over yourself and go there.’ I thought.

Slapping my head as if to get it straight, ‘just do it and do what needs to be done. Although I know I'm not worthy of being forgiven because I hurt her and I'm not even sure I have the right to even visit her.’

These thoughts came to me and I couldn't help but feel like I couldn't go there with what had happened in the past.

“Is it my fault though? It looked foolish asking myself these questions when I knew the answer.

“it is definitely my fault but what couldn't I do? I think I should stop worrying about that and focus on meeting her. I've come this far already, I can't stop now.” I said to myself.

To be sincere, I wasn't really expecting to gain something from my collaboration with Dalton group but here I was still trying to stop myself from hesitating any longer and just go to meet Ryan.

Since I'm still undecided at that moment, I chose to read the contract signed once again without much thought.

Few days passed and I began to see the result of our collaborations more and it became obvious overtime as our researchers came together to make products that will make anyone buy it.

Sales began to increase from every side and the income for the company also began to increase. In a way this has been the best contract I've signed in a while. Looking at the reports and going through every of the Dalton company activity, I realized that Dalton hadn't made his move yet, which surprised me a bit but still made me feel relieved as his inaction still means that everything is going well.

I want fooled to not know that Dalton is a time bomb that can expose anytime, which makes me cautious as his inaction at the moment could mean that he is really not taking any action at the moment and just taking his time, or it could mean that he is taking action but he is doing it in such a way that I can't see it.
