Chapter 29: Jackson is kidnap

RUSSELL'S P.O.V
"It's nothing, he is someone that is not worth to talk to."-she said. But I am curious about this man. Maybe I"ll try to ask Dana or Zyril.
"Are you bothered about it? Your face seems to be asking for more."-she said. My ear become hot.
"No. I am not."-I denied. She grin.
"About him, wait...are you thinking of something else, hmm?"-she teases. I eat and didn't answer. That's when she laugh softly. This is what I hate, I can't make a poker face to her. She can read me so easily.
"Don't start again, Simone."-I said. She shook her head as she looks happy in teasing me.
When Dana saw me, she's surprised. I am waiting for her at this couch of her office. I smiled.
"I know that you know either of the two."-I said.
"Nice meeting you either of the two, Mr. Maxwell. But this is the first time that we meet. Do you need anything from me?"-she ask. We both sat down.
"Not in particular actually. I just wanted to ask you something and to congratulate you as well."
"Okay, thanks. You must have learn that our team will be directing the television forecast of summer Olympics this year. It"s been a long journey."
"The government must have saw your greatness as a director. We will be meeting each other more often then."-I said. She nod. Her secretary bring us some food to eat. I sip some of the coffee.
"Uhm...ma'am Dana can I have an autograph and selfie of me and Mr. Maxwell? I am his fan."
"No problem."-I said. She smiled and after I signed an autograph and a picture with her. She smiled and leave afterwards. Dana sigh and smiling.
"Celebrity huh? Like Simone in different field, by the way. What is the other reason why you came here other than congratulating me?"-he ask.
"I am here to ask about that Rico. I know you know who is that jerk. I want to know what kind of past did he had with my wife."-I said. She gave me that amusing smile.
"Are you jealous over a trivial past, Mr. Maxwell?"
"What if I am? That is someone that I wanted to know. I hate to admit but thinking that my wife had such a past is bothering me a lot."-I said. She giggle and even point her fingers on me several times. She looks happy about what she hears. Her secretary came in and gave us some coffee and a croissant. She left afterwards.
"Well, that man is someone who is popular during our college and high school days. I still remember how Vivian tries to ruin Simone in school in order to get revenge. You see, the three of us are not your typical school girls. We are more popular more than the cheer leading squad. Because of that, men admires us. One of them is that MVP and varsity star of basketball team, Rico."
"Which Vivian loves the most. Well, he is handsome and he is a good student academically or in even in sports. So girls, have a dream of being dated by him. He keeps to courting Simone when had time. Announce his feelings using the school speakers, during their games and when he had time. He keeps on chasing Simone. I saw how Simone likes him too. He's persistent anyways."
"Persistent, huh? Which means he is her first love?"
"I don't know. Maybe kind off. We only heard her once saying that he likes him too and he is her crush. But nonetheless, they didn't go on a date because of Vivian. She tries to bully her but you know Simone."-she added. She sips her coffee so do I. I feel like my heart is heavy because of the things I heard from her. So this is what it feels like when you learn that your first loves someone else before you. I sigh and sip my coffee.
"I wanted to know what kind of past did she had with Vivian. Actually she is a junior of mine, Vivian Westley. She enters as a junior swimmer in my coach club."
"Pufftt! What did you say? She is your junior? Dang it."
"Huh? What kind of reaction is that?"-I ask. She wipe off her lips and look at me intently. She looks worried.
"Why are staring at me like that? Is there anything wrong with what I just said?"-I ask. She sigh deeply.
"What is the reason why she went to your coach sports company? She had never enter any sports for shit's sake!"
"I don't know, she just suddenly appear last month."
"Damn, be careful to that snake. I mean leech. Just make sure that she won't strangle your or so on so forth. She is dangerous, you hear me?"-she said. I just nod.
"She was also pissed off for the fact that Simone is always been top 1 and she stays second. Simone is also active in everything and one time she because a student council president in our last year in high school. She even enrolled the same course as hers but still, she will never surpass Simone's ability as a student. One time I heard that she enters fashion world. I am surprised that she came back and approach you. It stinks actually."
"Don't worry, I'll be careful. I hope you will keep in this what we have discussed, Dana. I don't Simone to misinterpret my investigation regarding her past. Will that be okay?"
"No problem."-she said. I bid my farewell and leave her studio. Luris suddenly called me. I answered.
"Hey dude. Did you know Zyril's number? I need to contact her. I visit an E-sports building when I witness a kidnapping incident. The kid that I ask if he know Zyril is being abducted. Good thing I turn around before entering the elevator and saw what happened. He said Zyril is her sisters best friend. Tell Zyril that the kids name is Jackson. I am following the car as of this moment."
"What did you just say? Jackson? Give me your location. I will come right away. She is Simone's brother!"-I said.
"Okay then. I'll share my location so you'll be updated."
He ends the call, he send me his location. I tried calling Simone but she's out of contact. I just texted her. I drove as fast as I can. Until I saw Luris reach an abandoned insanity hospital. I called the police before entering the building. He is not in his car, he must have entered the building. When I saw one of them, I hide.
"Don't worry, we will just torture the kid. I can't believe your that cruel to that man's brother-in-law. You're something else. I have to go. I'll call you later."-he said. I followed him. 'Me? Who hates me that they even do this to my brother-in-law?' I followed that man and I saw him entering one of the rooms here. Someone suddenly hold my shoulder. I turn around and I was about to punch his face when I saw who it is. I sigh, it was Luris. He chuckled.
"You should enter martial arts competition instead."
I frown at him and he just shrug his shoulder and smile.
LURIS' P.O.V
My cousin, he is into sports since we we're kids. His parents didn't know that he also take classes in taekwondo and boxing. But he really loves swimming and pursue that one. He became famous because of it. He signed me that we will go inside.
"You know how to punch right?"-he ask. I laugh.
"Heck yes. What do you think of me, a gay?"-I said. I saw a rusty pipe and give it to him. I smiled and we both kick the door. We saw that Jackson is wounded and his head is bleeding. They're about to pound his fingers using a hammer when we enter. Jackson is crying. They're about to take their guns on the table when we kick it out and started fighting them. We will never let them win no matter what. I move aside and get over and kick his feet and use the pipe to smash his face. I step on him and smash the man that will suppose to kick Russell.
"Get down!"-he said. When I did he give him a flying kick. A man from my ride is suppose to kill me using a butchers knife? Seriously? I saw one of them is about to pick the gun underneath the chair where they tied Jackson. Jackson push the chair down and covered the gun. He kick his face and I took the chance to untied him. He take off the tape in his lips and we saw how happy he is. I held him up.
"Thank you but...how come that big brother is also here?"-he ask. We both punch the face of the enemies that were suppose to attack us.
"I'm your brother-in-laws cousin. I'm Luris by the way."-I said. He held my hand that I use yo propose hand shake. He smiled and saw Russell"s skills.
"Did he know any martial arts. His kicks and punches are quiet lethal."-he said. He look on us after the last enemy is now twisting in pain.
"Yes. I have graduated with black belt in taekwondo, are you okay? How about your wound in your head?"-he ask. I look at his wound.
"It's a long cut but its not deep at all, we better leave now. Let's go."-I said. They nod, we push Jackson first and we left the building as soon as possible. We are about to get inside our car when we heard a gun shot. We stop and look back one of them had followed us. Damn it! What the hell!
"Don't make any more move and all of you will die."
He pointed the gun to Jackson, he shoot him and Russell, cover him. His hand starts to bleed. He smirk and I took the chance to jump on him.
"Get off me!"-he said trying to take the gun back. I wrap my hand and thighs on his neck and waist. I made sure he will be out of breath and Jackson suddenly punch his face for three times. When I know that he can't move anymore, I push him on the other side. That's when I heard sirens. Russell must have called the police. He is holding his wound.
"Good thing it wasn't vital."-he said. I sigh in relief.
SIMONE'S P.O.V
I was checking the papers that Zyril gave to me when she came inside with a worried face.
"The police called me. Jackson, Luris and Russell is in the hospital."-she said. I stood up and take my coat. I just grab my bag and followed her.
"What happened? What are they doing in the hospital?"-I ask. She pinch the elevators button.
"The police officer said that Russell called an emergency incident. Your brother was kidnap and Luris saw it. He called Russell to ask my number because Jackson told him that I am her sister best friend. Russell followed them and he was also hurt like your younger sibling."-she said. She opens the car door and drove away. My jaw clenches.
"What do they want? Money?"-I mumbled.
"Maybe that's one of their reason. After all, Jackson is a child of Lavelle's chairman."-she said.
"Drive faster."-I said. She nod and drive fast but safely. When we reach the hospital I went to the information desk. They look at me and they new who I am. One of the nurse speak.
"Ma'am, your husband and brother is in room 1189 of the VIP floor. That is the 14th floor."-she said.
"Thank you."-I said. Zyril and I rush to the elevator and she pinch the 14th floor button. I tried to calm down and ask them later on about this one. I hope they"re not seriously wounded. I look at the room number when we found the right one, I open it.
"Next time don't be reckless. What if you will hot in your vital organs? Like your heart and your head. You will be dead right away."-Luris said.
"It's all my fault, I should be the one who will be killed by that gunshot. I am thankful for what you did, big brother."-Jackson. He just smile and pet him.
"No problem, your Simone's brother, of course I am in charge of you now. And the two of you, don't say anything when Simone and Zyril...hi."-he said.
I went to them and look at their bandage. Jackson has a wound in his forehead, even his lips. While Russell had a bandage wrap to his left arm around his shoulder and body. Luris had his own wounds and bruise in his cheeks. I sigh and look at them.
"Is it painful?"-I ask them. They nod in chorus.
"Yes. They're still bruise and cuts."-they even said.
"Zyril, call their doctors please. I have to talk to her or him."-I said. She nod and leave. She came back with the doctor, I ask him about their conditions.
"It's a minor wounds ma"am Simone. About your husband's gunshot, it is not lethal and the bullet just hit his skin. Nonetheless, they can be discharge tomorrow."-he said. I smile and made a sigh of relief.
"Thank you doctor."-I said. They left after that.
"Now, who wants to tell me what happened? I want the truth or else I'll investigate myself."-I ask. They look on each other then gulp. I knew they will lie.
