Chapter 40: Green-eyed man

Luris POV
I grab his hand and I saw how Simone was trying to control herself. He looks at me. "Who the fucking are you?!" I laugh and get serious. I grab his shirt and look at him. I should be the one asking you, idiot. I grab Simone and shield her.
"Luris, it's okay. Let"s go." He tried to catch her, but I push him off. "Back off. I don't know who you are, but my cousin-in-law wants you to leave. Now go!" He gave me a death glare. "I'm his boyfriend!" I grab his shirt and lift him up.
"Fuck you. How dare you say such lies?! Don't you dare or else I will kick your ass right here. Leave." I push him down to the floor and he stood up right away.
"Luris, stop it already. Edzen, leave. We didn't have such a relationship. You just jump to conclusions! Stop ruining my life! Don't push me that much. I won't get easy on you if you won't stop." He looks at her. "No! I won't! I know you love me, Simone. That Russell is just blackmailing you by using your fucking so-called marriage!"
My ears heat up, and I step forward and punch his face. His lips start to bleed. "Leave or else I will turn you into an eggplant! Simone, let's go, or else I might turn him into a pulp." She nodded, and she walks away first. He suddenly kicks me in my back and I look back. I catch his fist that walks was about to punch me. "Oh, my gosh! Luris! Edzen, stop it! Guard!" Good thing we're here in her company.
"What is happening here, Simone?! Luris!" Zyril runs towards me and looks at my bleeding lips. "Y-you?!"
We saw how Zyril turns pale. "What are you doing here, asshole?!" I look at her. "You know him?" She looks at me. "Yes! You saw it. He is green-eyed, and he is the reason why I hate men who have green eyes! He is a jerk! She ruined my first love journey, and he turned me into a..."
"Oh my gosh, it's him?! I can"t believe this. You—you're nothing but a useless playboy! You're trash. I can't believe you're good for nothing!" He tried to touch Simone. I act like I'm going to punch him. "Get inside Zyril and Simone. I'll take care of this trash." I can see that they're worried, but they both agreed and walk away. I look at him.
"I don't know what your plans are against my cousin's wife, but I am warning you. Don't try to hurt her like how you messed up my girl's life. Or else, I will let you learn the hardest lesson you have never experienced. Guard!"
When the guard grabs him. They sent him off the building. I went upstairs and washed my face first mildly. I sigh and tried to calm myself. "Did you still love him, Zyril?" I mumbled. I went off to Simone's office. I came here to fetch Zyril, but a bomb suddenly explodes in front of me. I knock on the door. "Hi ladies."
She went to me and grab my hand. She opens the emergency kit and opened the iodine solution. "That man, he never changed! I hate him!" I groaned when she dip the cotton on my lips. She starts to blow. "Thanks, Luris." I nod. "I hope he will stop bothering you." Zyril looks at me. "Thank you for saving Simone." I chuckled. "You're welcome. Treat me to some ice cream then." She laughs and nods. "I'm happy that you two were not cats and dogs now."
"Simone, do you want to tell me something?" She sighs and looks at us. "I know. I will tell you guys the truth." She starts to tell us and I sigh. "Good thing you didn't fall enough into his trap." Zyril punches her palms. "I better use him, my gangster side, and let him see what I can do. I will make him pay for fooling you, for hurting me, and for punching Luris." We both laugh. "Thank you." She smiled sweetly.
Zyril's POV
After we have a chat with her, we left because Russell was on his way to fetch her. We eat at his place and this is the first time that I... "Mom?" I saw a sophisticated and beautiful woman. I gulp. "So this is the new girl." I bow down. She held my waist and turn me around. "Good butt, good body, good, good." Luris pulled her. "Stop it. You're making her blush." She giggled. "Hi, daughter-in-law. I"m mommy Ara, Luris' mom. Nice meeting you." I smiled.
"Pleasure is mine, ma'am. I'm Zyril." She smiled. "I already cooked. You two should wash your hands and let's all eat together. After that, I will leave you two. Give me a boy, okay?" She wink and left us. He sighs and his ears are in red. I chuckled. "Your mom is cute. I like her." He smiled.
"I thought you find her annoying." I shook my head. "No. Anyway, let's follow her." He nod and we went to the dining hall. She is staring at us as we placed food on each other's plates. She smiled. "Have you proposed?" He cough. "Mom! I haven't started courting her! Give us time!" She pouted. "Move faster! You're getting old! I want a grandchild. Your cousin is already making one. Hurry!" I laugh. "I'm sorry honey, the truth is I"m helping him. I knew he likes you a lot because I never saw him out these kinds of effort in his flings." He suddenly drinks his water.
"Is that so, ma'am Ara? That's a record then, Luris." He sighs and looks at me. "I... I... eat! Yes, eat!" I laugh softer and her mom sigh in vain. "I can't believe you can't even speak to such a lovely lady! Come on, son! Hustle!" I can't stop smiling and became happy to see how sweet their relationship is. Like me and my mom. I better told her that I'm in love again. I will let her meet Luris.
"Come on, mom. Stop embarrassing me." I watch them and sometimes join her in teasing Luris. After we eat, I cleaned the mess and put the dishes in the dishwasher. "You're perfect. I really want you for Luris." I smiled sweetly. "Thank you, Mrs. Wiles." She looks at him. "I have to go. Take care and you should move faster! I'll see you again guys. Bye-bye." She wave at us and left his unit. He looks at me. "Thank you for riding my mom's jokes and cheesiness—?"
I tiptoed and kiss him lightly on his lips. "Thank you for today. You prove to me that you're not a jerk like Edzen. Yes, your playboy like him, but I saw your characters were far different from him." He blinks.
"Let's go and I have to send you home. I might forget that I have to hold my pace." I understand what he means. He walks first into the doorway. I didn"t follow him. I took off my shoes and sat on his couch. I close my eyes.
"Will you marry me?"
I saw how surprised he is and he turn around. "What did you just say?" I put my hair in my ears and smiled. "Will you marry me?" He only took three steps and he grab my neck. He kissed me and I knew I had ignited a fire. He held me up and he kick his door open. We didn"t break off the kiss until he lay me down. He looks at me and grabs something in his pocket. "Yes." He held my hand. He put the ring on my finger. My eyes became misty.
"Is this really mine?" He chuckled and nodded. "Yes, I secretly ask Simone about your ring size. She texted me and I bought that ring when I went abroad. I always keep that in my pocket. I want to use every chance I can. I never thought it will be today." I smiled. I grab my phone from my blazer. I took a photo and send it to mom. I add a voicemail. "Mom, let's have dinner with your son-in-law tomorrow. I will be staying at his place tonight." I grab his neck and kiss him.
Haven's POV
I smiled when I saw the present that I receive from chairwoman Simone. She knew I don't want any expensive gift and she just give me this cute hair ornament.
"She gave you an ornament? Men typically give such things to the woman they love. Did she like you that much?" I chuckled and place my hands on my cheeks. "Maybe because I'm cute?" I even blink. His face became expressionless. I cough and turn around. "I'm sorry. Ahem. Let"s go back to rehearsal. We still have a few scenes to shoot." I sat down and act busy flipping my script."
He suddenly leans on the arm of the chair and looks at me. "You're not cute at all," he paused and whispered next to my ears. "You're beautiful, actually." I blush and he went back to his seat. What was that for?! Aghh!" We made a rehearsal and later on, we shoot the next scene. "Everyone gets ready in 3, 2, 1, and action!" She walks toward me and pushes me.
"You have no right to every inheritance that I have! Everything is mine. From Harvey and my parent's wealth. You're not a part of the family, no!" She joined me in the pool as I act struggling in swimming.
She grabs my head and pushes me down the water. "B-big sister, stop it! I-I am not taking anything f-from you! Uhmp! Agh! S-stop it! Uhmp!" But what surprises me is when I felt like something poke me. Like a needle or what. "Cuttt! Good take, Hazel and Haven!" I suddenly feel weak.
"Help..." I mumbled and the next thing I knew was that I'm being pulled down by the water and everything was becoming a haze. I heard a splash and a familiar warmth grab me.
"Haven?! Haven?! Wake up! What did you do, Hazel?" And a smirk from her is the last thing I saw before I passed out. When I open my eyes, what I can see was all white. "Where am I?" I saw him staring at me. He held my hand. "I knew it. I saw it from where I sat. That woman!" I look at him. "I felt like something poke me. Like a needle or something and then I suddenly feel weak and my vision starts to get blurry," I said to him.
"Don't worry, I already called ma'am Simone. Director Dana will talk to her and Hazel will be kicked out in the series. I already filed a complaint against her. She needs to learn her lesson and taste the bitterness of her evil deeds," he said. I faced him and held his hand, too.
"Thank you for being there when I'm in trouble, Steven. You became my knight in every danger in the taping areas." He smiled and he suddenly caress my cheek. "No problem with me," he said and smiled sweetly. I simply nod and close my eyes. I'm still tired.
When I woke up, it was already morning. He wasn't here anymore. He must have gone home last night. The door opens. "Oh, thank goodness. You're awake. We can have breakfast now," he said. "You're still here? Why?" He frowns. "Because I want to take care of you? I already called your mom, and she said she will come here today. She must be on her way here from the province."
He places the food on the table, and we start eating. Later on, someone knocks on the door. It was Hazel. "Can I talk to you, Haven?" I nod. "Steven, can you leave us for a while? Please?" He was hesitant, and he looked at Hazel. "Don't you dare hurt her or else I will drag you off the hospital?" She nod. He left us.
"What are you doing here? Do you want to laugh at me? Or you want to kill me again?" She smirks. "Yes. Because you take him from me!" I grab the knife. "Go and I'll send you first! Come here!" She turns pale. I stood up and slap her. "That is for the hotel and yesterday! This?! Because you're being a too spoiled brat!" The door opens, and she saw it.
