Chapter 37: Zyril's emotion

SIMONE'S P.O.V
He sigh and look at me straightly. "I will send you abroad and that man? I will teach him a lesson. So you better behave Simone. This is a warning." I laugh. "Don't worry dad. I won't leave my husband. I found a diamond in him, why do I choose such man. Relax. I'm too in love with him. I won't leave him behind. Anyway, I have to go. One of these days, Russell and I will eat here for dinner. Bye dad, love you." I smiled and left him. I know he is surprised to what I said but I mean it. When I drove my car to my in-laws house, they're surprise to see me. "Simone, darling! It's been a while. We thought you have forgotten us." I smiled. "I'm sorry mommy Alma and daddy Paulo. But I'm happy to see you two either. Russell will come here after his practice. We decided t eat dinner here for dinner." She smiled.
"I'm happy to hear that. At least you two remembered us. By the way, how's everything? I mean between you and Russell?" Daddy Paulo act like his reading the newspaper. "We are doing great. The two of us were planning to have our first baby one of these days. We are hoping for the best and hear a good news anytime." Sher smiled. "That's great. At last we can be grandparents soon." I smiled. "Let's hope for the best. By the way daddy Paulo, how's your relationship with Russell?" He close the newspaper and look at me. "He is doing fine at work and he can manage his time with the company task that I gave to him along his practice in that sport." I nod. "I hope you will watch him as he competes for Summer Olympics. I know he will be happy if you do. It's you who drives him to be the best."
He gave me that puzzled expression. "I know I am being nosy daddy Paulo but Russell always shows how proud e is because you are his dad despite the fact that you weren't there to support his passion as an athlete. I know he will be the happiest son in the world if you will see his match in that big event." He didn't answer. "Simone's words were true honey. Why don't you try it?" He look on us. "I will think about it but I won't promise anything." I smiled. "Thanks, daddy Paulo." After half an hour, my husband arrived. He kiss me in front of his parents. "I'm home, love. I'm home dad and mom." Her mother's eyes were glistening. "Hon, did you saw that?" She is smiling while talking to my father-in-law. "I know, I'm not blind, honey."
"Dad, before we start eating for dinner. I need some clarifications with the report that that you want me to analyze, can we talk in your office. Mom, love, we'll leave you for a moment." I just nod and smile. They left us. "Thank you for your braveness Simone. I hope Paulo will be swayed with your words and tries to support our son in his passion in swimming." I smile. "I do hope so, mommy Alma. Let's hope for the best." When we dinner, I saw how the tension between Russell and his dad changed. That made me happy. I love seeing them like this. I am hoping that dad and Jackson will have the same vibe like this.
"We better sleep in my room tonight. I'm already tired the whole day." I nod. He hug me as soon as we lay down. "Russell, dad told me that daddy Paulo have been talking about you in their circle these past weeks. He seems to be proud of you." He smiled. "Really?" I nod. His eyes is glowing in happiness. I face him. "So keep it up. Who knows? He will accept your passion in swimming and he might watch your upcoming match." He smiled. "I hope so. This is all because of you. What you said were all true. Thanks, Love." I smiled and kiss him. "I love you, Russell."
RUSSELL'S P.O.V
I claimed her lips and start caressing her. She wrap her hands around my neck and the night were filled with lovemaking. "Good morning."
"Good morning love." I kiss her and get up first. "I will drop you by at your office before I'll go to Solace Foundations. I need to fix the medical mission project of the foundation in South Africa." She nod. "Just tell me if you need my help." I smiled. "I will, love. Thank you for being supportive."
After we eat breakfast with my parents, we left the mansion and go to work. I knock on Zyril's desk. She look at me. "Oh, I'm sorry Simone." I just smile. "What's wrong? Do you want to share it?" She smiled bitterly. "It's Luris. He is pestering me for a couple of days. He keeps on knocking on my door and bought things like food." I smiled. "Russell told me that Luris won't bug a woman if he didn't like her. He shows effort to them and to his flings? They mostly come and go. He didn"t made an effort if the girl wants a simple not a relationship. Who knows? You might be that kind of girl to him."
She sigh. "You guys have meet my ex once and you must have forgotten his face or his name. But me? I haven't until now. He is a playboy himself and even Luris." I smiled and held her hand. "Yes, I know that you hate green-eyed and playboys but Zyril. You can't box yourself forever in a cave. If he hurt you before? What if this man won't? Love is a game. Like mine. Don't stop striving and continue to move forward, okay?" She sigh.
"Thank you for being here. You and Dana had been trying to help me for decades. It means a lot to me." I tap her hand and nod. "Don't worry Zyril. You'll be fine." She smiled. When I look at the glass wall, that's when I realize that night had covered the sky. I stretch my back. "Simone, it's already 9pm, I think you should go home?" I sigh. "I need to finish this last two. It will be quick. Russell know that I'll be late. You can go home now, Zyril." She nod. "Okay then. Anyway, I made you a two sandwich and coffee. Have some before you continue." I smiled. "Thanks Zyril. Be careful in your way home. "Don't worry, she's with me." I put down my coffee and laugh. "Hi cousin-in-law." He smiled.
"Hi. Don't be too hard in yourself. Russell seems to be busy as well, you two are working too hard." I laugh. "Well, that's the life given to us. Take care of my friend okay? Behave, she knows how to kick some asses." He laugh. "Don't worry, I will but thanks for reminding me." I laugh. "Ahem! I'm here." We both laugh to Zyril's words. "We'll go ahead now." I nod and watch them as they leave.
"It looks like a loveteam is knocking on our doors." I smiled and bite my sandwich. It looks like Dana and Zyril had found their the one. Well, I'll be happy for my friends because they also found a good man. I was about to leave when someone knocks the door and came in. I smiled when I saw him. "I have been calling you but you're not answering. I panic that's why I came here to check on you." I kiss him.
"I'm sorry, I just realize that my phone died. Actually I'm about to go home." He suddenly carried me and he sits on the couch. I am sitting on his lap and I saw that he feels sorry for me. "Hey, I have been working late for ages, don't feel sorry for me." He suddenly massage my forehead and it was damn relaxing. "I know." I enjoyed what he's doing and my eyes became heavy and...
"Uhnnn..." I open my eyes and look around. I woke up and saw that my clothes is changed and I'm in our bed. I saw him on the stairs as he came in with a tray in his hands.
"Good morning Love." I smiled. "Good morning."
LURIS P.O.V
She opens the door and saw me. She sigh and open the door wider. I get inside and place the food that I cook in her table. "I feel like you"re not working at all." I laugh. "I am. After I send you to Simone's company, I will go to my office. I will check my employees and then leave." She look at me. "Leave? For what?" I smiled and open the Tupperware's.
"Well, I have to attend an important matter in our branch in Toronto, Canada. I have to check on that. I'll be leaving for 3 days I think?" She just nod. She look at the food and taste them. "Where did you bought this? Your wasting your money too much." I laugh. "Don't worry, I cook them myself. Mom told me to bring some for you. She is hoping that you are her future daughter-in-law." She cough. I laugh.
"What kind of joke are you pulling to your mom?" I shrug my shoulder. "She never saw me making an efforts like this because of a woman so...she is suspecting that you're a woman that I want to marry. It was true anyway." She stood up and grab me in my collar. "I don't have time for you jokes, Luris. I will warn you, stay away from me."
"I won't." She push me and she is about to leave when I ran towards her and hug her from her back. She step on my feet and that hurts! She's using her heel. "I know you hate me because I have green eyes and a playboy like your ex. But I'm serious Zyril. Hate me until you wanted, I won't give up. Eat your breakfast whether you eat what I cook for you or not."
I turn her around and put my hand on her head. "I'll see you next week." I smiled and walk away. My feet does hurt but its okay, I need to show her that I am not playing around this time. After I talk to my employees, I went off to my flight and her face keeps on invading my head.
"Good morning mom, is everything okay there? I might extend because this matter is a little bit complicated that I thought." I heard her sigh. "Okay then, make sure that you'll go home as soon as you can, okay? Behave in there." That made me laugh. "Don't worry mom, I will. I have to go now. Bye, I love you." She laugh. "I love you too. Bye-bye." After she ended the call, I went back to my bed and read the document that I bring with me. This is frustrating, being an heir is not as happy as it sounds. Damn.
'I miss her like hell.' I sigh and shake my head. I have to get a hold to myself and stop acting like a kid. My goodness! Its been a while when I feel this way.
"Good morning everyone. I have arrange this meeting to discuss about the strike that happens in our factory here in Toronto. I have analyze the papers and sad to say... I have to kick some asses. Darren, you are fired starting today and if you dare to file a case, then feel free. My lawyers will take care of it. The reason? Embezzlement of funds. You didn't pay their overtime and put the money in your fucking pocket. Do you want to explain?"
He looks down and shut his mouth. "As a consideration, I will still give you separation pay worth $15, 000." He cried. "Thank you Sir. I'm sorry." I sigh. "I already talk to the employees who raised a strike and promise them to pay for their overtime and an added bonus the production will start again next week. That's what I want to say for now. Keep up the good work and do it properly. This meeting is dismissed." They stood up. "We'll go ahead, Sir. Have a nice day." I nod and stay here for a moment. The next day, I use that to buy some things for my love one's. I went home the next day.
She saw me waiting for her at the lobby. I smiled when I saw her beautiful face. "Hi. I'm back...?" She suddenly ran towards me and hug me. I was shock. Why did she?
"What's wrong, Zyril?" She hug me tighter.
