Birthmark

Andrew called the cops and they arrived at the hospital, though the doctor wasn't pleased by the disturbance between his patients and Joan because according to him Joan needed some rest but since the latter insisted that he was fine, therefore, the doctor left them alone.
Only two cops came, one was male and the other female, stood by his bedside and introduced themselves.
" I am officer Carl"
"And this is, officer Zelda," he introduced the female officer.
After the introductions, they started the interrogation.
"What's your relationship with the victim?" Carl asked.
"She's an f–friend," Joan replied.
"Can you narrate how the kidnap incident happened?" the female cop named Zelda asked, holding a notepad and a pen.
"I was running after her… and there she was kidnapped… by some men…" Joan struggled to get out his words, he coughed at the end of his statement.
Zelda jotted down some things and asked further, "Why were you chasing after her?"
Joan looked at the officer and he stuttered again but not because of his state but out of nervousness which the officers didn't fail to notice.
"Mr. Joan, you were asked a question or do you need her to repeat it" Carl inquired, curtly. He didn't like the delay in answers.
"No, actually, Kylie… and I… had an… argument" He stammered.
"What was the argument about?" Carl questioned, suspicious of this young man. There had been people who were witnesses to a particular crime, they would give their statements and even be of support to the case but the real truth was that they were nothing but the perpetrators of the crime.
"Officers, I think you should get to the point here because as we speak my sister-in-law could be in grave danger" Andrew voiced out and hugged Pearl tighter.
"Kylie" Pearl cried in his arms. She hadn't been herself since Joan broke the awful news to them.
"We are going to do our jobs because in a case like this, everyone including you is a suspect," Carl said sternly and faced Joan who cringed a bit.
"Now are you going to answer the question or we begin to make conclusions of our own, young man," Carl said, staring at Joan for any weird body language or movement.
"A-actually, we just had some misunderstandings over personal issues concerning our relationship as friends… and then she became really upset with me and she ran out, so logically I chased after her but lost pace with her at some point and thereafter, she was kidnapped "He sucked in deep breathes as he responded.
"Alright even though I am not quite satisfied with your response, can you tell us the exact location where this incident took place?"
"I… I am not really… familiar with the street…" Joan stuttered and moaned in pain emanating from his ribs.
"Just describe it and we would take it from there" Zelda interrupted and jotted down his description and Andrew later identified the place.
"How many were they?"
"Three" Joan replied even though he wasn't certain about their figures.
"Good," Zelda said and closed the notepad.
"We would work with this for now but we would immediately check the CCTV of the street, if it's developed, I am sure that security cameras would be available there " Carl muttered.
"That's good, let me go with you" Andrew sighed.
"I want to come along, please" Pearl sobbed, Andrew faced her and wiped her tears. "It's better, if you stay here, in case there is a phone call from the kidnappers, alright Blue?" Andrew whispered and kissed her lips shortly.
They exited the hospital room leaving Pearl and Joan alone. Pearl faced Joan and stared hatefully at him with red and angry eyes.
" I had nothing to do with it "Joan sighed and looked away.

It was a short ride, they arrived there and checked the CCTV footage, and found the videos.
" Here it is, "Zelda said and clicked on the mouse, the video popped up and began to play.
It played and they watched everything but there was a problem.
" Their faces are covered, this is going to be a tough one" Zelda murmured and it made Andrew agitated.
" I know but there must be a way for us to find those bastards "Andrew urged them.
It was easy to get the police to search for her within 24 hours because Andrew had connections, immediately he left from there back to the hospital, he made a call to Felix and instructed him to pass the news across to television and radio stations and also the internet, he had to save his wife's sister.
They reached the hospital and met Pearl still crying heavily. Her face was slightly swollen and her eyes were deep red and puffy.
"Stop crying, please" Andrew mumbled, he hated it when he saw tears in her eyes.
They told her how fruitless their search was and that made her panic the most.
"We don't know where Kylie is?, she might have been assaulted terribly by now, for goodness sake, I thought you had connections " Pearl yelled in tears.
Pearl knew she just made an unnecessary outburst but she hoped that they understood her.
"Did she have any enemies?"
"No," Pearl replied. Andrew pulled her into a hug and consoled her but for the first time, his hug wasn't comforting.
Her reply threw the cops into confusion but they knew that they could surely find a way even though they had different questions on their minds.
Was she kidnapped because of money?
Did she offend someone and they are carrying out revenge on her?
Pearl was more bemused because Kylie was an easy-going and carefree person, she could never hurt anyone.
'Kylie' Pearl thought of her and her sobs became louder.

Dimitri pulled her short hair and laid kisses on her head, he had been toiling with her all this way and the torment was becoming unbearable.
"Now, I'm ready to fuck you" Dimitri grinned and turned her over, her tortured breasts facing the floor.
He slapped her ass and looked at her back and his eyes caught something. A birthmark that shocked him to his bones.
"How?"
That was the last thing Kylie heard before fainting.
