Suffering begins
Jennifer was awake staring at the ceiling like a demented individual, tears kept coming from the side of her eyes because her expectations were cut short and now she had no one to turn to.
Firstly she did not know the father of her baby but she never remembered having sex with any other man or did the Holy Spirit get her pregnant. Recalling the stories of Mary the mother of God that was always told to her as a child but she would have believed her case was like that if she was a virgin or a Saint but unfortunately she's far from those two things.
Sobs escaped her lips as more unnecessary thoughts kept flooding into her mind, if she only knew that the baby belonged to neither of her lovers, she would have aborted it a long time ago but now terminating the pregnancy could cost her life and she would rather the baby died than she should die.
She placed her hand on her belly and the baby move, its constant movement was hurting. She turned to see the doctor walking through the door.
"What the fuck do I do for this parasite in my stomach to cease moving or breathing?" Jennifer yelled and sat up in the struggle.
"Parasite?"
"What do you mean? I ran a check-up on you and I didn't see any internal parasite in your body or any external parasite" The doctor said not understanding her phrase.
"I wasn't talking about a parasite, I was referring to this fucking bab—forget it!" Jennifer scoffed. "How did I stop this child from moving?"
"That's not possible, it's a living being. It is normal for it to move but I understand that sometimes its movement might cause you some discomfort, so you have to give your belly a gentle pat or rub it. That should work" the doctor replied with a smile.
Jennifer scoffed and did as she was instructed and the baby was cooperating.
"I can see it's working, well ma'am I just came to check up on you–"
"Doc. Have my medical bills been paid for?" Jennifer asked, curiously.
It was important for her to know if the foolish good Samaritan that brought her here actually had the kind heart to pay for her bills. That would be such a great relief.
"Actually, no"
Jennifer's eyes widened in shock and she yelled "What do you mean by No?"
"The person who brought you left saying that you could pay the bills by yourself and that you weren't related" He explained and her heart rate accelerated.
Tears filled Jennifer's eyes, where she was going to get the money to pay for a private room in such an expensive hospital, she began cursing inwardly at the person who had brought her.
"Where am I going to get the money? The man who got me pregnant left me and that was why I wanted to abort this baby" Jennifer cried. She wanted to warn the doctor's sympathy, she had heard that pregnant women were always pitied or sympathized with.
"Alright, you don't have to pay the bills," the generous doctor smiled.
Jennifer's eyes lit up "Thank you so much"
"You are welcome but taking your baby's life isn't an option," He said and walked out of the room.
Jennifer sniffed and scratched her hair like a maniac "Where am I going to get money to even feed?"
"My life is becoming worse every day, I wish that I hadn't left Andrew" Jennifer cried, regretting the very minute she made that reckless decision.

Three days later, Jennifer watched as the men carried her little properties into the truck, she almost had nothing, the things in the apartment were already installed there.
She met a colleague that helped her when she discovered that she was preg nt e helped again with some money without criticizing her. Jennifer knew that this apartment was out of her league immediately the money she had been lent ran out. She also asked for a refund from the landlord and luckily he was kind enough to give her a refund out of her payment for the days she hadn't spent.
With this money, she would be able to go to the slumps to find a house that her money could afford.
"Good morning, Miss Jennifer" a man greeted from behind. Jennifer turned to him and they shook hands.
"Good morning, Mr. Francisco '' Jennifer smiled dryly, he was the house agent that she had hired to look for a good place in the slumps even though the place wasn't the slumps just a little behind time but she could still find something good there.
"Are you ready?" Mr. Francisco grinned, displaying his brown set of teeth.
"Don't grin like that and don't ask that kind of question because I am not ready for what awaits me" Jennifer replied curtly and walked to the truck.
Mr. Francisco was a bit confused by her words but he came back to his, senses and said "Miss Jennifer, you still owe me ten dollars"

They reached the house that the agent had rented on her behalf and her eyes widened in horror.
The bungalow wasn't painted, the walls were cracked, and the door looked like it had been infested by termites. The more she walked closer to the house, the more disgusted and angry she got.
Jennifer pushed the door open and the empty sitting room looked awful, it was a two-room apartment with a kitchen and restroom. She walked into the darkroom and it was worse than outside, everything in the room seemed to be left in ruins, from the windows to the walls to the broken tiled floor.
"Oh my God," Jennifer gasped and ran out of the room.
"I paid so much money for this shit!" Jennifer yelled at Mr. Francisco.
"I'm sorry but this is the best that your money could attain, the guys will help you unpack because I have to leave," Mr. Francisco said. He was ready to fight with a maniac like her.
"I don't want this house, here me another house" She cried.
"I have to leave, thanks for the ten dollars," Mr. Francisco said shakily and briskly walked away.
"Francisco, come back here!" Jennifer cried loudly but he didn't turn back.
"I can't live here, what have I done to deserve this?" She sobbed. "I can't live like a dog"
