Sweet Pains

Dimitri walked to the river with a sad look on his face. The place was quiet and the breeze extremely cool. The cool air swept over his face making him shudder a bit.
He exhaled sharply and got to the edge of the river, he slowly sat down on the stony ground and picked up a few stones from the floor. He became lost in confusing thoughts.
Life seemed to be playing a terrible trick on him and matching the saying that goes 'Life is not fair'. Though life took him away from poverty and misery, it took his only family away from him and those were his sisters.
His sisters were always there for him but it's a bit confusing now because they were using different names. He couldn't believe that he had met them and had them in front of him but he couldn't recognize them.
He thought they were dead when he woke up in the unknown hospital, he asked for his sisters but he was told that the kids that were left died. He and two other male kids were saved but there was no other survival in that flood. That's what he was told, he still didn't give up and tried tracing them but there was no sign of them, their names changed and that was the main reason why he never found them among the records. He doesn't even have a good memory of their faces since they were still kids, they weren't even up to eight then.
Things were quite difficult then and it's more complicated now since he has met both of them under awkward and awful circumstances. Would they even believe that he was their brother?
'I fucked up' Dimitri muttered and threw a stone into the water.
Since their parents died, they never had it easy, they always stuck together. Kelvin, Leilah, and Hannah but maybe the one who adopted them changed their names. Were they even adopted? what were their lives like after the disastrous flood? and why did they leave him?
"What happened that night? I'm so confused" Dimitri ruffled his hair.
"I think Leilah is Pearl and little Hannah is Kylie" Dimitri sighed tiredly and threw two more pebble stones into the water.
The water splashed on his face but he wiped it away and threw another stone.
Dimitri thought about how he kidnapped her, hit her and almost raped her.
He almost made the biggest mistake of his life. He thought that the worst mistake was meeting Jennifer and getting entangled in her mess but he was wrong because raping Kylie would have been the worst thing that he had done. Ever done!
"Would she ever forgive me if I had done that?, would I even be able to forgive myself?" Dimitri muttered and sighed tiredly.
"My life is fucked up, what am I going to do now?" Dimitri scratched his head and tears welled up in his eyes.
He let out a loud sigh and lay on layoniony the floor, he looked by his side and saw a centipede twirling its body toward his face.
He quickly sat up and used his shoe to squash it.
' I wish I could squash all my problems like this, life wouldn't be so hard '

Jennifer slowly flickered her eyes open, she first sighted the ceiling in a blurry way but after squinting and blinking repeatedly, her vision cleared up.
She yawned and looked by her side art monitor was attached to the antenna drip bag of blood that was penetrating her system through her veins.
"Fuck" She gasped in an exasperated manner.
Her head was aching and she felt sore in between her legs, she tried sitting up but in between her legs were sore and she groaned as she felt pain in her belly. Jennifer touched her bloated stomach and reasoned that they must have taken the useless baby out that might be why her stomach was still bulging.
She swallowed hard as she struggled to sit up, she looked around the hospital and frowned.
"I hope the person who brought me here would be paying for the hospital bill because I have money to pay for getting this baby out of me," Jennifer said and rolled her eyes.
She didn't see any other patients around her, so that meant that she was in a private room which would cost more money since she was getting special treatment or attention.
"Fuck this pain in my head, gosh!" She yelped and held her head with both hands.
"Shit" She cussed and smiled.
'Finally, this baby is out of my way and now I can do all the things I want to do, I can now move to another country and have a good job with my certificate or maybe sleep my way into the company and start a new life over there' Jennifer thought feeling extremely happy about the situation.
'And when I gave money, I would come back for Andrew and Pearl and get my revenge for all the pain and humiliation that they caused me' Jennifer said inwardly and her lips curved downwards into a frown.
"Pearl" She gritted her teeth in anger. "I will get back at you even though it's the last thing I do"
She exhaled mirthfully and stared into space. She was already imagining how awesome her life would be once she catches a big fish or a sugar daddy with loads of money who would give her sex and cash.
The door suddenly creaked and Jennifer's eyes darted to the door.
It opened and a blonde-haired man wearing a doctor's white, long suit walked it along with a nurse who had a petite figure like a child and she wore a blue gown that made her look shorter.
"How are you feeling today?" the doctor asked with a smile on his thin lips.
"I'm good" Jennifer smiled, she couldn't wait to hear the news that the baby was removed. She quickly positioned herself to listen properly.
"You are a really lucky woman because your baby is alright. The baby is still intact but taking that much alcohol can put your baby's life at risk and ma'am, abortion through those means is wrong and again, your baby has passed the stage of getting aborted. Any kind of foul play might not only claim your baby's life but yours as well" He reported.
Jennifer cleaned her ear with her finger" What are you saying? Are you saying that the baby is still in my belly? "
The doctor nodded in a positive light.
" No!!! "Jennifer screamed in shock, her eyes rolled within their sockets and she went limp.
She fainted and almost fell off the bed.
" Ma'am! "
