Unwanted guest 2
Joan sighed in defeat, he was quite hopeless about Kylie's situation because he could never tell her why he raped her. It wasn't only the influence of alcohol that contributed to it. Maybe he would never have had the guts or audacity to sleep with her, if not for the alcohol.
Andrew drank from his cup of coffee and smiled.
"She will come around soon but you should know that her reactions towards you are justified" Andrew muttered and narrowed his gaze at him.
"Y–yes I know that '' Joan forced a smile on his lips and sauntered to the chair on which Kylie had sat. He slowly sat on it and she stared at the leftover food on the plate.
Joan tasted the eggs and his face turned a bit sour.
"What's wrong?" Andrew smirked, knowing what was transpiring.
Joan drank some of Kylie's juice to wash down the taste of the salty eggs.
"You should sack the maid who cooked this food, like who makes eggs this salty and sour at the same time, was lime or vinegar added? Jesus" Joan shook his head and pushed the plate aside.
"It's delicious to me, I don't see anything wrong with the eggs or toasted bread or anything else on the plate"
"Well, cousin I think you are blind and need glasses or rather you need a dentist to examine your tongue. I think you have too much money to waste, the food is so basic and even a seven-year-old kid would do better than this" Joan said while using his fork to play with the food.
"Gosh!"
"Do you know who cooked that food?" Andrew inquired and Joan shrugged.
"My wife" He dropped the bombshell. Joan's eyes bulged in shock.
"What! Pearl cooked this" Joan's mouth opened in shock, he took another gaze at the food and had the urge to laugh.
"She's not perfect yet, sometimes it's so delicious, and other times or, rather most times, it's…"
"It's terrible" Joan completed his statement.
"I won't say it that way" Andrew sighed.
Pearl walked into the dining room. "Sorry to interrupt your bromance with this rapist but I need to go to work"
After having hot sex last night, Pearl insisted that she wouldn't stay at home any longer because she was dying of boredom especially when Andrew went to work. She felt kind of lonely because even when she tried chatting with the maids, they were always distant and focused on respecting her instead of being friendly.
" I will drive," Andrew smiled and stood up.
Pearl rolled her eyes and left from there.
"Do you think she heard us?" Joan whispered.
Andrew swallowed hard and replied "That won't be too good"

Since Andrew began driving, there had been an awkward silence between them and no one had been really to break it. Andrew was a bit scared of talking because he was certain that she heard his conversation with Joan and that must have hurt her a lot.
Maybe having Joan in their home wasn't such a good idea after all because that stupid cousin of his is nothing but a bundle of troubles.
"Andrew, rate my cooking over ten" Pearl said, confirming Andrew's suspicions.
Andrew knew his answer could either put him in trouble or save him.
'Why are women so complicated?' He cried inwardly.
"Andrew" Pearl called while casting a glare at him. "Rate my cooking"
Andrew hit the steering gently "Fine, to be candid. I would rate your cooking, a five over ten"
"That's a lie, I know that you are just saying that to make me feel better about my bad cooking," Pearl said. She heard everything he and Joan said in the dining room.
It was true, sometimes her cooking came out perfect while other times it was average or inedible.
"Alright, I won't lie to you. You are not such a great cook but you are doing your best and making an effort and I think that is the main thing" Andrew smiled and placed one of his hands on her lap.
"My efforts aren't good enough, they say practice makes perfect, and probably I need to put more effort into my cooking skills and learning" Pearl smiled and held his hand.
"That's my Blue" Andrew chuckled lightly and faced the road.
"I miss the office a lot, I think that it is going to be a lot of fun. seriously I want to enjoy this"
"And you will, Blue"
They talked some more about other things and it made Pearl happy that no matter how awful her foods were, Andrew still ate them. There was a time it caused him diarrhea but he still did not give up on her or insult her as some other men would do.
"I think we ate nonsense this morning because I am still hungry," Pearl pouted and rubbed her belly.
Andrew giggled and stopped by a shop where they bought food and drinks. Andrew would eat his own at the office while Pearl ate hers in the car.
"This tastes so good, I hope I will be able to cook like this very soon," Pearl beamed.
"I am sure that would happen in no time" Andrew laughed and continued driving to the office.
They reached the company and Andrew brought the car to a slow halt.
"Thanks for the ride, my slow driver" Pearl chuckled and kissed his lips.
"Was I slow?" Andrew inquired and pursed his lips.
"Just a tiny, little bit," Pearl replied, making a small sign with her two fingers close together.
"That's a lot to me" Andrew smiled and they kissed again.
"Mmmh, enough" Pearl giggled and came out of the car.
"The driver would come to pick you up and you would be accompanied by guards later," Andrew said and drove off before Pearl could contradict him.
"So annoying" She smirked.

She walked into the company and the employees were greeting and welcomed her back. Some she answered and others she simply nodded in response.
Pearl walked into the elevator and it took her to the first floor, she stepped out of it and her secretary greeted her.
"Morning, Emma" Pearl replied and sauntered to her office.
She was stunned to see balloons with WELCOME BACK written on them, the office looked refurbished with a color that matched her eyes, sky blue.
"This is too much," Pearl laughed and walked to her seat.
"You deserve it Mrs. Jones" Emma smiled.
Pearl sat down and placed her bag on the table, Emma submitted some files on her table for review. Anytime she had any difficulty with the documents, Andrew and Yuri were there for her.
"Where's the man that was in my position?"
"He had been dismissed, Mrs. Jones"
"Erm… I would prefer it if you just call me Pearl because that is easier to deal with than formalities" Pearl cautioned.
"Alright, Pearl" Emma snickered. "So, what can I get you?"
Pearl ordered nothing but dismissed her. Pearl began working on the files with the help of a robot that answered questions like Google, she could orally ask questions if she was confused in anyways. She called it Yuri.
"Yuri, how can I learn to cook?" Pearl asked. Yuri told her to research cooking apps and download them, from there she can learn manually but she could also watch cooking videos on YouTube.
"Thanks for that, Yuri," Pearl smiled.
"You are welcome"
Pearl began searching for apps on her phone, she downloaded them and was happy with the few good results that she had gotten. She had to delete some worthless apps.
"Fuck" She caused and faced her computer which was still in progress. It finally stopped loading and YouTube came into view.
"Thank goodness that I learned how to use a computer in the past months" Pearl smiled and started watching videos.
She had the agenda of surprising her husband with a delicious delicacy tonight. She watched a specific cooking video of even some Italian foods and the one that enticed her was spaghetti. She loved how it looked and it was easy to prepare.
"Hm, Andrew, be ready for some spicy and delicious dinner." Pearl squealed excitedly. "Yuri, what other food can I give my husband?"
"Sex"
Pearl's lips curved into a wider smile "I want to look sexy tonight, two in one dinner". She researched different colors and styles of lingerie.
"I think I'm deviating, let me go back to the cooking video"
She was about to click on the keyboard when her intercom rang, she answered and it was Emma.
"What is it, Emma?"
"Mrs. Jones, a man is here looking for you and he said it's a serious issue that can't wait and he doesn't have an appointment" She reported.
"What's his name?"
After a second, Emma replied "He refused to say"
"Fine, let him in"
After a few seconds, the door opened and Pearl looked up to see someone she didn't want to see.
"Dimitri!" She gasped.
"Hi, Leilah"
