Being whipped
CHAPTER TWELVE
HAZELS POV
As the sun began to set, I made my way back to my dorm room. I quickly changed into my black robes, carefully pulling the hood over my head to conceal my face. I knew that the Dark Night Bazaar was a dangerous place, and I didn't want to risk being recognized. I left a note for my roommate Hannah, telling her that I would be studying late at the library. She would not approve of me going to the market, and I didn't want to worry her.
I slipped out of the dormitory and made my way through the bustling city, heading towards the Black Night Bazaar. I had only been there once before, when I was a child, and I was grateful that my childhood friend Anna worked there. I navigated the twisting streets until I reached the market, its dark storefronts looming ahead of me.
As I entered the market, I was immediately struck by the eerie atmosphere. The air was filled with the smell of incense and the sound of strange music. I walked through the crowded stalls, taking care to avoid being seen. I saw all manner of dark and exotic items for sale, from cursed amulets to potions of all kinds.
With a pounding heart, I searched the dimly-lit corners of the secluded red velvet place, scanning every inch of the space. And then, at last, my eyes fell upon a familiar figure - Anna, standing there in all her glory.
My heart leapt with joy and relief as I embraced her, grateful to have found a familiar face after all these years. Her smile was warm and welcoming, but as soon as I mentioned the potion I was seeking, her expression shifted.
"I do know where it is," she said slowly, her voice tinged with hesitation. "But the price is steep - a thousand gold coins."
My stomach churned with a sense of betrayal. I had thought Anna would help me, no strings attached. But it seemed like she was trying to take advantage of me in my moment of need. Still, I knew that I needed that potion, whatever the cost. I gritted my teeth and told Anna that I couldn't afford it.
Anna's face softened. "There may be another way," she said, her voice low and conspiratorial. "But we'll have to be discreet."
My mind raced as Anna led me through a hidden door in the back of the room. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was walking into a trap, but I had no other choice. Anna was my best friend, and I trusted her. Or at least, I hoped I could. But I couldn't shake the feeling that I was walking into a trap.
I wanted to believe Anna's words, but the evidence before me was undeniable.
The air was heavy with the stench of black magic, and the sound of chanting filled my ears, and some even performed devil's kisses, a horrible disease similar to the Black Death.
The night elves were practicing dark arts, and I knew I had to get out of there before it was too late.
But before I could move, a pair of hands grabbed me, and I was suddenly trapped. Panic rose up within me, and I frantically looked around for Anna, hoping that she could help me. But to my horror, she was standing among the evil elves, a wicked glint in her eyes.
I fought against the man's grip, kicking and screaming, but it was no use. He was too strong, and he seemed to be enjoying the power he had over me. I felt a cold fear grip my heart as he turned to face me, a cruel smile on his lips.
Without warning, he struck me with a powerful blow, sending me reeling. I stumbled backwards, struggling to keep my balance as the room spun around me. And then I saw the whip, glinting in the dim light of the magic circle.
The other night elves cheered him on as he began to lash me with it, each strike sending a searing pain through my body. I could feel the blood flowing from my wounds, and I knew that I was in deep trouble. Tears streamed down my face, and I cried out in agony as the whip struck me again and again.
Tears streamed down my face as the whip hit my back. I can felt my blood flown into the dark magic circle.
I was helpless against them, trapped in a nightmare that I couldn't escape.

But little did I know that as I was being whipped, Riven Dragomir was also feeling the lash across his back. We were connected, our fates intertwined in this dark and twisted world of black magic and evil.
