Chapter 12 (2)

"Alright," Bella agreed going back into the car. She watched Emily cross the road as the driver opened the back seat for her.

"You didn't have to follow us," Emily said as she stepped into the car, she glanced at Leonard who was glancing outside.

"I didn't, where is your bag?"

"I can't follow you... I promise Bella that..."

"She is not a baby."

"Do you hate her that much? You know how terrified she is about facing her parents."

"Kiss me and I will allow you off."

"What?"

"I didn't stutter." Leonard turned around to finally stare at her as she gulped at the sight of him. He leaned in when he felt her mouth open in shock and placed a kiss on her lips, it took all the will power in him not to nibble on her soft lips as he parted from the kiss slowly.

He stared at Emily's eyes that stared at him wide open, he nearly bursted into laughter at her facial expression. He knocked on the window as his driver opened the door and assisted Emily off the car, he watched her walk slowly into the other car.

Bella was pleased to see Emily back in her car but the stunned look on Emily's face worried her, did Leonard say something mean to her? One could never trust that brother of hers.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes..yes.." Emily replied and placed her hand to her lips slowly. That bastard had stolen a kiss from her without her permission, how dare he? and she couldn't even fight back. She had felt a certain feeling in her stomach when his cold lips touched hers. It was like the ground should open and swallow her.

She dropped her hands back to her side when she noticed Bella was still staring at her.

"Did he hurt you?"

"No, I am fine "

When they got to Bella's house or as the estate would call it the Klar's house, Emily neck kept turning back and forth in amazement.

This wasn't a house, it was a mansion, they drove past different sections. A garden, a table tennis centre, a swimming pool section and some more arches of land before they arrived at the house.

Emily had never seen anything like this before, it was like they were in another town entirely. She was tempted to ask Bella if her father really owned all this but she knew the answer to that. Bella's parent were known to be wealthy but how wealthy was the question Emily had never thought about.

She remembered going to some of Bella's friends birthday party but she had never seen anything like this. Her friend's house were big, well equipped and furnished with latest gadgets, equipments and materials but nothing like this.

Was this why Bella felt imprisoned in this house?

Who wouldn't feel imprisoned in a place like this? There was literally no reason to leave because the estate seemed to have just about everything in it.

Emily wasn't going to be surprised if it had a church and a mosque.

Bella watched Emily looking at the window, she knew she was fascinated by the view and decided not to bother her. It wasn't anything new to her friends but in Emily's case she knew it was something different for her.

The car drove in front of the door and parked as the driver highlighted, he opened the door for Bella and Emily motioning them inside but Emily seemed not to be going in, she followed the driver to the car boot as Bella stared at her confused.

"You don't need to worry ma'am, I will help with your luggages, you can go in," the driver smiled at her politely opening the car boot but Emily was having none of it and the driver wasn't planning on getting fired so he closed the boot back.

Bella understanding the situation.

"Emily please not here, my mum won't like to hear of it," Bella pleaded as she dragged Emily into the house, she could only hope that Emily would be okay with the way things worked in her house.

The Klar's mansion was a easy going place, that didn't allow anyone to work. The maids were entrusted with doing all the bidding of the guest.

The door opened slowly as a maid bowed her head to them, Emily did the same but Bella was unbothered as they both stepped in staring at Alexandra and Bianca.

Bianca reached out for her daughter in a warm embrace before she could wrap her head around how both of her parents were both at home at the same time.

"My child," Bianca said hugging her tightly. "You look so lean." Bianca concluded when she let go of Bella and examined her from head to toe.

"Am always lean," Bella shake her head not surprised by the statement. There was no time she had ever visited that she wasn't lean, even if she was fat like an elephant she would remain lean in her mother's eyes.

She stared at her father as a certain tension filled the air, she stared at his eyes and decided it wasn't a good idea when a smile didn't escape his lips.

"This is my friend, Emily," Bella introduced Emily going back to hold her hand. "Em this is my father, Mr Alexander Klar and this is my mother Mrs Bianca Klar."

"It's nice to meet you Sir, you have a lovely home," Emily smiled.

"You may go now, thank you fo bringing her home." Alex finally spoke sternly. He had met a lot of Bella's friends in the past and there was nothing to write home about them, they either ruined something in his house or harassed his workers. He had made sure to stay back before going on his trip just to make sure she didn't bring anyone along.

He could have just told his wife but one little cry from Bella and Bianca would disobey him. He didn't know how this woman kept choosing her children over him all over again, even when they were wrong she would look for reasons to not be mad at them and all this had happened when they had lost their last child to a car accident.

"I will be sleeping over," Emily replied.
