Chapter 8

Leonard got a call from Bella, she requested to see him urgently. he agreed after she wouldn't stop calling him, he knew what the conversation would be about but he had to expected to have her bimbo friend approaching him in his restaurant.

"You!" Leonard didn't know what Bella was up to but he wasn't pleased. she was definitely going home once he was done from her. he signaled his guards who were lurking around to be at ease as Emily approached him but Emily didn't take note.

Emily didn't want to do this but she kept reminding herself that it was for Bella and her happiness.

"Good day, may i sit down?" there was something about the way he looked at her, she didn't like it, she feared it.

"Sit."

"I am here on behalf of Bella," Emily said going straight to the point as she took her sit opposite Leonard.

"About what?"

"Being her cousin you should understand how she can be."

Cousin! Well he guessed Bella was doing a good job keeping his identity a secret.

"How can she be?"

"She is a free spirit and..."

"Miss..." Leonard stared into her broom eyes and Emily caught sight of his hazel eyes, she had not taken note of it earlier when she had met him, she was mesmerized by it. "Miss..." Leonard repeated.

"Bella, i mean Emily, just Emily is fine." Emily stuttered.

"Emily, what exactly do you want from me?"

"Please don't let Bella go home."

"As a friend, ain't you suppose to wish for her to go home, you don't seem like a friend, if that is your request."

"I just feel...."

"You feel what?" Leonard interrupted. "That she should continue to sell drugs and tarnish the name of her family."

Drugs!

Was Bella doing drugs again! Bella had told her about her past experience with drugs and how she was addicted to it but Emily hadn't noticed anything like drug of late. Well she was too busy with work she barely had time alone with Bella, and during her off days they spent it together.

Emily father was a drug addict and an alcoholic, she knew how people like that were, her father was always aggressive and when he was high he would beat her mother and sometimes them up. Even thou her mother tried to live like everything was fine, things weren't really fine with them.

Emily didn't realize she wasn't paying attention to anything Leonard was saying and he also took note of it.

"Excuse me," Emily stood up and staggered back.

"Seat down," Leonard ordered and Emily obliged and sat down immediately. "Here."

Leonard pushed the glass of water on the table close to her, Emily took the glass and drank all the water.

"When will they be coming to pick her up?"

"You came here to convince me so why are you suddenly agreeing with me."

"If she is truly using this drugs then she will need help, i will take my leave now." Emily said and walked out of the restaurant.

Leonard stared at her wondering what was up with her, did he say something that got to her?
