Chapter 19

"A goodbye kiss? I literally just told you a story and you...." Emily trailed off as she felt Leonard's lips on hers.

"You think too much," Leonard smiled and placed a kiss on her lips again. "I will come and pick you when you close from work," he said opening the door for her and motioning her to leave.

When Emily got to the office she was surprised to find Bella seated comfortably in her office.

"How are you here right now?"

"Does it matter?" She had Bella say as they rushed to hug each other, they both missed each other so much, Emily was sure she missed Bella more than Bella did and bella thought the same that she missed Emily more than Emily did, she was so happy that Cam was able to get her here without anyone knowing, he had woken her up so early this morning and told her to get into the trunk of his car, he had driven her all the way before opening the trunk to get out then he had driven her straight to the office and told her to call him when she was done.

"But really how are you here?" Emily asked when they broke the hug, she had called Bella's line but it was switched off. She thought her parents had already put her in the rehabilitation center.

"Long story but I am here now and I am spending the whole day with you," Bella smiled going back to sit on Emily's seat.

"The whole day? Did you run away from home?"

"Technically maybe, but I can reassure you that I am not going to be missed plus my cousin was the one that dropped me."

"Oh," Emily sighed. She was worried about Bella, she didn't want her parents worried sick about the whereabouts of their child and she knew even if she brought the topic up Bella wasn't going anywhere.

She concluded that it was better that Bella was here and that she was in safe hands, not to top it up with the fact that she actually had a lot of work to do and she very much needed an assistant.

"How are you feeling now?" Bella asked as Emily took a seat opposite her.

"Fine...better..."

"Thanks to Leonard right?" Bella teased, Emily's office was directly facing the street so Bella had seen Leonard's car drop her off, she wondered what was going on with them and decided it was best to hear it all from the horse mouth.

"Yes I guess," Emily chimed dropping her bag and sorting the files on the desk. They had an upcoming reveal and she had a lot of people's work to review and send to Mark. She had already missed two days or more of work but thanks to Leonard, Mark had told her not to bother about it.

She was truly grateful to Leonard and she wasn't surprised to find a heap of paperwork on her desk.

"So are you guys like a couple?"

"We are not going to talk about Leonard because me and Leonard are nothing, he is just a friend."

"A friend my ass," Bella chuckled.

"You said you are here to help me, so get to work, we have tons of files to sort out."

"You are not going to escape my questions but for now let's concentrate on work."

Chloe still couldn't believe that Leonard actually would do something like this, she wondered if Emily was aware of it too as she didn't bother to struggle with her. She had allowed her to go like it was nothing.

She really didn't have any where she was going to but she didn't want to look like a Desperado chasing after his boss like she didn't have a job of her own. So she asked him to drop her in front of a restaurant down town.

Immediately he dropped her, he zoomed off without a word.

Chloe decided to try out the restaurant not that she could afford the food here but she always came around to see if she could find a suitable partner.

As she took her first step, she bumped into someone and nearly fell down. Who was this idiot that didn't see her and wanted to ruin her day before it even started.

"Are you blind?" She flared up looking at the man who was also staring back at her.
Cam had just dropped Bella off and decided to see the manager of the restaurant before heading to the office, when he came down he had been on his phone and didn't take note of the lady in front of him.

Normally he wouldn't bother with thing's like this but when he had bumped into her, he had caught her eyes and it reminded him of Emily. This lady looked like Emily but some of the features were not really similar but from afar he would have mistaken her for Emily or was she her twin sister.

He decided to give it a try.

"Chloe Riverstone," he said with a blank expression but got no reaction from Chloe who seemed more pissed off that he nearly injured her than the fact that he knew her name.

Chloe couldn't recognize the man from anywhere but she concluded maybe he was those men she would randomly introduce herself to in the restaurant and give her number too but how could she forget a handsome face like this.

"Do I know you?"

"Actually no, I and Bella had a....."

"Bella? Are you Bella's brother?" Chloe giggled and hugged him happily which took Cam by surprise. He had to give his guys a hand sign to calm down because although he seemed alone he had his guards trailing his every move.

Before he could process what was going on Chloe held his wrist and pulled him into the restaurant immediately after releasing him from the hug.
