7. Sweaty and Gross
*Jade’s POV*
With all those thoughts in my head I start making my way to my kitchen. I am in real need of water since I finished the bottle I took for training. When got the kitchen I walked straight to my fridge ignoring my surroundings but I could sense I was not alone in the kitchen. I drink my water still paying no attention to whoever is there. When I finish, I see Liam and Levi both are sitting on the kitchen counter and staring at me. I noticed Levi was looking me up and down and his eyes turned a few shades darker. His gaze met my eyes, he smirked when he realized I caught him checking me out and we kept making eye contact for a few seconds.
We were then brought out of our gazes when my brother interrupted by asking, “Why are you al sweaty and gross? I thought you were just going to help out in the classes.” I answered, “Yes, that is what I was doing but Julian had also challenged me to spar with him and let's just say it was a long one”. I notice Liam giving me a look of disgust because of my sweaty state. Me, being the annoying little sister, I could be at times walked up to him and rubbed my sweaty face and hair all over his shirt. He looks at the wet spots in his shirt in disgust. ”Eww, gross Jade now I'm going to have to change my shirt.”
Liam is glaring at me and man if looks could kill. I ignore the daggers he is throwing my way and stick my tongue out at him. Liam then shakes his head in annoyance and tells Levi “Hey man, wait here for a moment, I have to get out of this disgusting shirt.” Levi just nods at him in response. Levi and I were left in the kitchen by ourselves.
I really had to shower but thought it would be rude of me to leave Levi alone in the kitchen so decided to stick around. Levi asked, “So, how did your first day of assisting in training go?” I answered, “Good, although I had to put a new male pack member in his place because he thought he knew more about fighting than me and was being disrespectful.” He smirked, “I would have hated to be that guy.” I shrugged my shoulders. “Let's just say that guy might undergo an attitude change.” He laughed. “I believe that completely, I mean unless he is the type of guy that likes to get put into place.” I just smiled at that.
We were silent for a few seconds. He stood up and walked towards me, he stopped when he was really close to me. “Jade, I was wondering if maybe we could hang out more once you have more free time? I know right now you have a lot going on with trainings, graduation, and your birthday.” I thought about if for a minute. I answered, “I would like that.” He smiled at me and said, “I will reach out to you when you are less busy with everything going on.”
I smile and nod at him while looking in to his pretty blue eyes. We stared at each other for a moment and I swear I saw him start to close the distance between us but was suddenly stopped by a throat clearing. I turned over and saw Liam staring at us leaning against the counter. I was so distracted I didn’t notice he came back. He narrows his eyes at us and says,” Jade, what are you still doing here? I though you would have gone upstairs by now.” I can tell by his tone he is not happy to see that I was alone with Levi.
You see Liam has trust issues with his friends around his sisters ever since he found out Ava and Julian were dating because they kept their relationship a secret for a long time. More than anything Liam was upset that Julian was not honest and straight forward with him about liking Ava.
“Calm down Liam, I just stayed behind because I though it would’ve been rude for us to leave Levi by himself. I was just waiting for you to come back brother.” He just looks at me like if he os analyzing my words to see if I am hiding anything. I just roll my eyes at him because I know it's just him being the usual overprotective brother he is. I say, “Anyways, I will get going before your head explodes from overthinking so much.” I look at Levi, I smile at him and say, “See you around Levi.” He just smiles and gives me a nod in response.
I start making my way to the stairs and when Liam thinks I am far enough to not hear him but I still can I hear him say, “What the hell did I just walk into Levi? Why the hell were you that close to my little sister?” I cringe at his tone and feel a little bad for Levi. But then again if he is trying to make a move and is serious about me, he will have to know how to deal with my brother. They are good friends after all. I quickly make my way to my bedroom bathroom and undress. I get in the shower and welcome the warm water running through my body. After I finish washing my body, I grab a fluffy towel and go and get dressed. I did my usual make up and decided to let my hair down to let it air dry.
I then made my way back downstairs; I was relieved when I noticed Liam and Levi had already left. When I arrived at the kitchen, I decided to cook something for myself since no one else was at home. I then tested Mia to see what she was up to. Since I really had nothing else to do today, I wanted to see of maybe we could hand out. In a blink of an eye days had gone by and it was now graduation day.
