Chapter 127

**Sara**

I leaned against the dressing room wall, my stomach pleasantly full from the mountain of tacos we'd devoured. Jessica emerged behind the curtain, twirling in a skin-tight red dress that left little to the imagination.
"Well?" She struck a pose, hand on hip. "Does this scream 'take me now' or what?"
"You trying to give some poor guy a heart attack?"
"That's the goal." She winked, admiring herself in the mirror. "Think it'll work on Brad?"
"Brad? I thought you were done with him."
Jessica shrugged, adjusting her cleavage. "Oh, honey, you know me. I'm never really done with anyone." She shot me a wicked grin. "Besides, Brad's got some... perks."
I raised an eyebrow. "Perks?"
"Well," she drawled, spinning to admire her ass in the mirror, "let's just say he's been very generous lately. This little shopping spree? All courtesy of Brad."
My jaw dropped. "Jessica! Are you serious?"
She winked. "As a heart attack. Why do you think I dragged you out here? Needed someone with taste to help me spend his money."
I shook my head, torn between amusement and disbelief. "You should've just brought him along instead. I'm sure he'd love to see you model these outfits."
"And miss out on girl time? No way!" She disappeared behind the curtain again. "Besides, Brad's got terrible taste. I need your honest opinion, not some horny guy drooling over anything that shows a hint of skin."
I snorted. "Fair point. Though I'm not sure how much help I'll be. You could wear a potato sack and still look hot."
"Flatterer," Jessica's voice floated from behind the curtain. "Now, be a dear and grab that blue number over there. The one that looks like it was painted on."
I obliged, handing her the scrap of fabric that barely qualified as a dress. "You sure that'll fit? It looks like it was made for a Barbie doll."
"That's the point," Jessica laughed. "If it doesn't make at least three guys walk into a lamppost, what's the use?"
As Jessica tried outfit after outfit, I was torn between admiration and envy. She had a confidence I could only dream of, strutting out in each revealing ensemble like she owned the place.
"What do you think of this one?" She emerged in a leopard print bodysuit that left little to the imagination.
I tilted my head, considering. "It's very... you."
"Is that a compliment or an insult?"
"Both?" I grinned. "You look hot but also like you're about to swing around a pole."
Jessica cackled. "Perfect! That's exactly the look I'm going for."
As she disappeared behind the curtain again, I wandered the store, fingering the silky fabrics and lacy lingerie. My mind drifted, imagining myself in some of these outfits. Would I ever have the guts to wear something so daring?
"What do you think of this one?" Jessica's voice snapped me back to reality.
I turned to find her in a sheer black negligee, strategically placed lace barely covering her nipples and crotch.
"Holy shit, Jess," I breathed. "That's... wow."
She smirked. "I'll take that as a yes. Brad won't know what hit him."
"I'm pretty sure he'll know exactly what hit him," I muttered. "Probably right in the face."
Jessica laughed, twirling to admire herself in the mirror. "That's the idea."
I shook my head, chuckling. "So, are you actually getting that one? Or is it just for show?"
"This little number is definitely coming home with me," Jessica purred, running her hands down her sides.
"Of course it is. I'd be shocked if you left it behind."
Jessica disappeared behind the curtain again, emerging moments later in her regular clothes. She had a mischievous glint in her eye that I knew all too well.
"Alright, time to pick my haul!" She clapped her hands together excitedly.
I watched as she flitted around the store, grabbing outfits left and right. It was like watching a kid in a candy store if the kid was a sex-crazed adult and the candy was barely-there clothing.
She piled dress after dress onto her arm. "Are you planning on wearing a different outfit every hour?"
She winked at me. "A girl's gotta have options, babe."
After an eternity, Jessica finally seemed satisfied with her choices. The saleswoman's eyes widened when she dumped the mountain of clothes onto the counter.
As the total rang up, I couldn't help but whistle. "Damn, girl. Brad's gonna need a second job to keep up with your shopping habits."
Jessica just grinned, swiping a shiny black credit card. "Worth every penny, honey."
As we waited for her items to be bagged, Jessica turned to me with a sly smile. "So, what about you? Have you seen anything you like?"
I shook my head. "Nah, I'm good. Just here for moral support, remember?"
"Oh, come on!" She pouted. "You've gotta get something. It's no fun if I'm the only one leaving with new clothes."
"Jess, no. I don't need anything."
"I'm not telling you to buy some crotchless panties or a see-through bodysuit. Just a normal outfit. Something cute for class, maybe?"
I sighed, knowing she wouldn't let this go. "Look, I appreciate it, but I'm uncomfortable buying anything with Brad's money."
Jessica's face softened. "Aw, honey. I get it. But who said anything about using Brad's money?" She reached into her purse and pulled out another credit card. "This one's all me. Consider it an early birthday present."
I hesitated, torn between my desire for new clothes and my reluctance to accept such an expensive gift. "Jess, I can't let you do that."
"Sure you can!" She grinned, waving the card in front of my face. "Come on, live a little. Let your best friend spoil you for once."
I bit my lip, wavering. "You're sure?"
"Positive. Now go pick something before I change my mind and buy you a stripper outfit instead."
Laughing, I finally relented. "Alright, alright. You win."
I wandered through the store, fingers trailing over soft fabrics and intricate lace. After watching Jessica's whirlwind spree, it felt weird to be shopping for myself.
"How about this?" Jessica called out, holding a dress resembling a large handkerchief.
I snorted. "Yeah, no. I'd like to keep my dignity intact, thanks."
She pouted. "You're no fun."
As I browsed, my eyes landed on a simple but elegant black dress. It was form-fitting without being too revealing, with a subtle slit up the side that hinted at sexiness without screaming it.
"Oh, that's perfect!" Jessica squealed, appearing at my side. "You have to try it on."
Before I could protest, she was shoving me towards the dressing rooms. I slipped into the dress, surprised by how well it fit. The fabric hugged my curves in all the right places, making me feel sexy and sophisticated at the same time.
"Well?" Jessica called from outside. "Don't keep me in suspense!"
I stepped out, suddenly feeling self-conscious. "What do you think?"
Jessica's jaw dropped. "Holy shit, girl. You look hot as fuck."
I blushed, smoothing down the fabric. "Really? It's not too much?"
"Are you kidding? It's perfect. Sexy but classy. You're getting it."
I opened my mouth to protest, but the look on Jessica's face told me it was pointless. With a sigh of defeat (and a secret thrill of excitement), I nodded. "Okay, okay. You win."
"Excellent! Now, let's look at some shoes to go with it..."
As we made our way to the checkout counter, Jessica leaned in close, her voice low and teasing. "Just wait until Tom sees you in that dress. He won't be able to keep his hands off you."
I felt my cheeks flush, a mixture of embarrassment and arousal flooding through me. "Jess!"
She just laughed, linking her arm through mine. "What? I'm just stating facts. Now, let's celebrate our successful shopping trip with some drinks. I know this great bar where the bartenders are hot, and the drinks are strong..."
I shook my head, chuckling. Some things never changed, and Jessica's ability to turn any situation into a potential hook-up was definitely one of them.
