Chapter 206

**Tom**

The doorbell's chime cut through our heated moment like a bucket of ice water. Sara froze on top of me, her chest still heaving. My fingers remained buried inside her, and I could feel her walls clenching around them.
"Who could that be at this hour?" I muttered.
Sara shifted, starting to move off me, but I held her in place with my free hand. I slowly withdrew my fingers, bringing them to my mouth. Her eyes widened as I sucked them clean, savoring her taste while maintaining eye contact.
"Mmm. I'm not done with you yet." I gave her a wicked grin. "Let me get rid of whoever it is."
The doorbell rang again, more insistent this time.
"Could be my brother." I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "He has the worst timing in the world."
I helped Sara stand, steadying her as she wobbled slightly on shaky legs. Her cheeks were flushed, hair deliciously mussed. The sight made me want to ignore whoever was at the door and finish what we'd started.
"Give me a minute to fix myself," she whispered, tugging her bra back into place.
I pressed a quick kiss to her swollen lips. "Take your time. I'll get rid of our uninvited guest."
The doorbell chimed a third time as I made my way through the apartment. I glanced back to see Sara disappearing into the bedroom, probably to check her reflection. Smart girl.
"I'm coming!" I called out, adjusting myself in my pants. Whoever was on the other side of that door had better have a good reason for interrupting.
I smoothed down my hair and took a deep breath, trying to look less like I'd just been moments away from giving Sara the orgasm of her life. The doorbell rang again.
I yanked open the door, ready to unleash my frustration on whoever dared interrupt, only to find Leo's grinning face and Kate beside him, holding what looked like a bottle of wine.
"Tom! Surprise visit!" Leo's smile widened as he took in my disheveled appearance.
Kate held up the bottle. "We brought your favorite Bordeaux."
I smiled, stepping aside to let them in. "How thoughtful. Come on in." At least they'd brought good wine.
"Your hair's a mess," Leo smirked, walking past me. "Did we interrupt something?"
I shut the door, shooting him a warning glare.
Leo whistled as he surveyed my penthouse. "Still living in this shoebox? You know, for someone worth billions, you could at least upgrade to a proper mansion. Especially since you'll be getting married soon."
"This 'shoebox' has a better view than your overpriced mansion," I shot back at Leo. "And who said anything about getting married?"
"Dad did. One year to find someone, remember?" Leo flopped onto my leather couch, making himself at home.
"There's still nine months left." I waved off Leo's comment. "And unlike you, little brother, I don't rush into things."
Kate settled next to Leo, already uncorking the wine. "Nine months will fly by faster than you think, Tom."
"At least get a bigger place," Leo gestured around my apartment. "This is what, three thousand square feet? Barely enough room to throw a proper party."
"Fine, I'll look into buying a mansion soon. Happy? Though I quite like having neighbors who don't need binoculars to spy on me, unlike your nosy bunch."
"They're not nosy; they're socially invested." Leo grinned.
"Right. Give me a minute to freshen up," I said, heading toward my bedroom. Sara was probably wondering what was taking so long.
I found her perched on the edge of my bed, scrolling through her phone. She'd fixed her hair and makeup, though her lips were still slightly swollen from our earlier activities.
"Hey." I closed the door behind me. "So my brother and his girlfriend decided to drop by."
Sara's eyes widened. "Should I sneak out?"
I crossed the room and sat beside her on the bed. "No need for that. I could introduce you as a friend." The moment the words left my mouth, I knew it wasn't right. Sara meant more to me than that, even if we hadn't defined what 'that' was yet.
Sara's lips quirked up. "Or we could really spice things up. 'Hey everyone, meet my student!'" She affected an exaggerated professorial tone. "'She's absolutely brilliant at corporate finance.'"
"Let's leave the whole professor-student dynamic in the past where it belongs."
"Then what will you introduce me as? Your personal finance tutor?"
"How about we go with something closer to the truth? I'll say we recently started dating. We met through mutual friends, grabbed coffee, and hit it off." I adjusted my shirt collar. "I can mention you're on the job hunt, exploring different opportunities. It keeps things simple."
Her eyebrows shot up. "Dating? That's quite a promotion from our current arrangement." She gestured between us with her finger.
"Would you prefer I tell them about our arrangement? 'Hey Leo, Kate, this is Sara. We hook up regularly, and she gives the most incredible-'"
"Dating works fine!" She clapped a hand over my mouth, cheeks flushing. "Though I should warn you, I'm high maintenance as a girlfriend. Expect daily good morning texts, random selfies, and demands for attention."
I pulled her hand away, grinning. "I think I can handle that for the next hour. Plus, I come with some excellent boyfriend perks - mind-blowing orgasms, earth-shattering sex, and a particular talent for making you scream my name."
Sara's cheeks flushed pink. "Careful there. Your ego's showing."
"Just stating facts. Remember that time on the couch? Or in the shower last week? Or-"
"Okay, okay!" She pressed her finger to my lips. "Point taken. Though I seem to recall you being the one screaming my name in the shower."
I caught her finger between my teeth, giving it a playful nip. "Only because you did that thing with your tongue."
"The thing I'm definitely not doing now because your brother's waiting?" She pulled her hand back and stood up, smoothing down her dress. "Alright then, boyfriend. Let's go meet the family."
"Hold on." I tugged her back down onto my lap. "Ground rules first. No mentioning how we really met. No professor-student stories. And definitely no details about sex."
"You mean when you had me against the shower wall? Or that time on your balcony when the neighbors almost-"
"Sara!"
She laughed, tightening my chest in ways I wasn't ready to examine. "Relax, Tom. I know how to behave in polite company." She pressed a quick kiss to my jaw. "Usually."
"That's not as reassuring as you think it is."
"Come on." She stood up again, offering me her hand. "Time to introduce your fake girlfriend to the family. Unless you'd prefer to keep them waiting while we finish what we started on the balcony?"
The temptation to lock the bedroom door and forget about Leo and Kate was overwhelming, the thought of Sara's touch making it almost unbearable. But I knew I had to stay focused; there would be time for fun later.
"Rain check?" I stood up, adjusting my clothes one last time.
"Rain check." She nodded, then grinned wickedly. "But you better deliver on those mind-blowing orgasms later, boyfriend."
I grabbed her waist, pulling her close. "That's a promise I'll definitely keep."
Sara's fingers traced my jawline. "Better not keep your brother waiting any longer; he might come looking for you."
"Fuck." I released her reluctantly. "You're right. Leo's nosier than a tabloid reporter."
We stepped out of the bedroom, Sara's hand finding mine. The gesture felt surprisingly natural as if we'd done this a thousand times before.
"There he is!" Leo's voice boomed from the living room. "I was about to send a search party- oh." His eyes locked onto Sara, then our joined hands, and his face split into a grin. "Well, well, well."
Kate perked up from her spot on the couch, wine glass already in hand. "Tom, you didn't tell us you had company."
"Everyone, this is Sara." I squeezed her hand. "Sara, meet my incredibly annoying brother Leo and his girlfriend Kate."
"Charming as always, big brother." Leo stood, extending his hand to Sara. "Please tell me you're not actually dating this grump voluntarily."
Sara laughed, accepting his handshake. "He has his moments."
"Rare moments," Leo stage-whispered.
"I'm starting to regret letting you in," I muttered, guiding Sara to the couch.
Kate poured two more glasses of wine. "So Sara, how did you meet our perpetually single professor?"
"Through mutual friends," Sara answered smoothly, accepting the wine. "We got coffee, and things just... clicked."
I watched Sara handle the situation with perfect grace, though my stomach knotted at how close we were skating to dangerous territory. The wine in my glass suddenly seemed very interesting.
Leo sprawled back in his seat, that insufferable smirk still plastered on his face. "Just clicked, huh? So when's the wedding?"
