Chapter 23
"You?"
Alice approached Amora at midnight after seeing her acting suspiciously outside Sandy's room. She immediately tried to stop the woman. Amora, who had always seemed mysterious and full of secrets, was standing at the threshold of Sandy's room.
"Why do you want to enter Sandy's room? What are you planning now?" Alice couldn’t guess Amora’s intentions. Amora did not answer and simply looked at her with a cold stare.
"He’s my lover, so I’m free to enter Sandy’s room or not," Amora insisted on entering, but Alice immediately blocked her path.
"I don’t care what your reasons are, Amora," Alice said firmly. "Sandy is asleep and needs peace right now. If there’s something important between you two, can’t it be discussed tomorrow?"
Amora glared at Alice with an unmistakable look of anger. She had not come to disturb Sandy’s peace but only wanted to make sure that the man was alright.
"So, I’m not allowed to see my lover inside?" Amora raised both eyebrows.
"Whether he’s your lover or not, that’s no excuse for you to enter someone’s room without permission. Besides, I don’t trust you, Amora. You must have some hidden malicious intent." Alice was highly distrustful of Amora, and her actions seemed suspicious.
Slowly, Amora approached Alice. She whispered in her ear in a soft voice, almost like a threat disguised in sweet words.
"You can’t have Sandy anymore. Now he’s mine, and we have a beautiful plan to get married."
Alice’s gaze was fixed on Amora. She was shocked, her heart trembling at the news. This couldn’t be happening. How could Sandy, whom she thought was immune to evil, be entangled in Amora’s devious plan? Alice felt the need to uncover the truth and respond seriously to the threat. Amora smirked with satisfaction at seeing Alice's suddenly grim expression.
"Ridiculous! Sandy would never marry you, Amora. You’re an evil person. Sandy is like this because of the negative influence you’ve had on him."
Amora smiled slyly and raised an eyebrow, clearly pleased with the grim expression on Alice's face. Amora continued to talk about her future with Sandy, which made Alice’s heart burn with jealousy.
"Don’t you accept that Sandy wants to marry me? Are you feeling jealous right now?" Amora asked in a provocative tone, deliberately nudging Alice’s arm.
However, Alice chose not to retaliate and kept her emotions in check. She considered Amora’s words as mere wind. When Amora started to walk away, Alice called her back.
"I know you’re conspiring with a witch to kill me. And it might also have something to do with Sandy." Alice’s words made Amora quickly turn around.
Amora turned quickly, fear and nervousness clearly visible on her face. Her fear showed how deeply she was involved in the dark conspiracy with a witch. Maybe her friends’ guesses were right.
"What do you mean?" Amora asked, trying to hide her fear.
Alice could see that her mention of a witch made Amora more agitated. She knew she needed to be more cautious and gather further evidence. However, Alice also had to protect Sandy from potential danger.
"I will make sure Sandy is okay. Don’t expect to get him, especially to marry him," Alice said firmly.
"You’re really stubborn, Alice. Sandy and I truly love each other."
"You’re the stubborn one, not me!"
Amora stepped back, her face still showing fear even as she tried to hide her emotions with a cold demeanor. Alice continued to press her to speak honestly if she was indeed conspiring with a witch and had made Sandy like this.
"I don’t want to attack you right now, Amora. But if you intend to harm Sandy, I will definitely fight you with all my strength."
Eventually, Amora left in a fit of anger. She could protect Sandy from outside the room. Alice touched the wooden door of Sandy’s room.
"Sandy, rest comfortably in your room and good night."

"So, you were spying on Amora trying to enter Sandy’s room?" Chiki asked, feeling curious. "It’s good she didn’t go in. I’ve hated that woman for a long time."
Chiki sighed beside Alice. They were still awake, even though it was already midnight.
"When I mentioned the witch, Amora seemed frightened. Her expression clearly showed that she was very nervous at that moment. But she wouldn’t speak honestly, Chiki." Alice covered her face with both hands.
Chiki frowned. "So, Amora is indeed hiding something about the witch. Maybe they are connected."
"That’s what worries me, Chiki. They could make Sandy’s condition worse. I need to prove the truth, even if it means facing risks."
Chiki tried to calm Alice, who was increasingly worried about Sandy. "It’s late; we should get some sleep. We’ll come up with a plan tomorrow and discuss it with Elena."
"Alright, Chiki. You’re right."

Alice met the fairy Eldoria. The fairy waved at her with a gentle smile. Alice approached, and they spoke.
"Fairy Eldoria, it seems we meet again."
"Yes, I came because I wanted to give you something." Fairy Eldoria blew a gentle breeze towards Alice, which emitted a golden light in front of her.
"What is this?" The object descended slowly onto Alice’s palm.
"It’s an amulet, and you will need it."
Alice looked at the amulet in her hand with curiosity. It resembled a small medallion, made of silver-colored metal with intricate carvings. In the center was a small gem glowing with golden light.
"Why do I need this?" Alice asked, her eyes fixed on the amulet.
Fairy Eldoria sighed deeply. "This amulet is used to dispel evil energy within a person. You want to save Sandy, right? That’s why I brought this amulet for you."
Alice was excited after hearing Fairy Eldoria’s words. She could save Sandy from the evil energy, and they could be together again like before.
"What should I do with this amulet? How do I use it?" Alice asked in more detail.
Fairy Eldoria smiled gently and explained in detail. "The amulet must be used carefully. You need to find Sandy and ensure he is calm. Then, hold the amulet with both hands and focus your positive energy on the gem in the center. Remember, the amulet will only be effective if you truly wish to help Sandy and have pure intentions."
Alice understood now from Fairy Eldoria’s explanation. She kept the amulet safely.
"What if Sandy is under the influence of very strong evil energy? Will the amulet still work?"
Fairy Eldoria looked at Alice with a confident gaze. "If the energy is very strong, you must convince Sandy to trust you. Sometimes, sincere intentions and your belief can overcome the existing evil force."
"Okay, I understand everything now. Thank you."
Suddenly, a white light took Fairy Eldoria away from her. Alice was astonished and rubbed her eyes to wake up.
"Was it just a dream?"
However, in her hand was a silver metal amulet, just like the one Fairy Eldoria had described in her dream. She remembered every explanation clearly. It turned out that Fairy Eldoria had visited her through a dream, which was truly amazing.
"Sandy, I will definitely save you." Alice said with confidence and a big smile.
