Chapter 7

"Sandy, you go to your room to sleep. Let me take care of Alice here." Chiki had already transformed into a beautiful woman. "Get some rest; you must be tired from guarding here all day, right?"

Sandy just shook his head and did not want to leave Alice's room. The man still wanted to accompany Alice here. Chiki finally could not force Sandy to leave.

"Well, if that's what you want, Sandy, I can't force you." 

Chiki already considered Sandy her older brother. The two of them had always gotten along well and protected each other. When Sandy and Alice got close, Chiki felt happy.

"Chiki, you just continue to rest. Let me take care of you guys."

Alice slowly began to open her eyes. She saw Sandy beside her. The man had apparently been keeping watch all day here. In her arms was also Chiki, who was still asleep. The two of them had kept her company all night.

How dear Alice was to Chiki! She gently stroked the top of Chiki's head.

"Alice ...."

Hearing Chiki's voice calling Alice, Sandy woke up. She tried to sit up and was helped by Sandy.

"What's wrong? Do you need anything? Let me get it for you."

Alice just shook her head, as her strength was still weak. "Thank you for taking care of me last night."

"You're welcome, Alice."

Chiki suddenly wanted to go out and say goodbye to Alice. The chicken immediately flew off to who knows where. And only Sandy accompanied her here. She was afraid that if Chiki was alone, Amora might harm her. She asked Sandy to look after her little chicken.

"Don't worry about Chiki. He'll be fine outside. What you should worry about is yourself, Alice." Sandy rubbed Alice's head to calm her down.

It was possible that the effects of the poison in Amora's body had disappeared completely. She was afraid that the woman would act up again, like yesterday. Amora felt jealous of her for staying close to Sandy.

"Sandy, do you know that Amora likes you?" Alice asked

"I know that. But I don't have any feelings for her. In this Vestinel territory, everyone knows, and it's not a secret anymore."

When she sees Sandy smiling and being kind to her, she becomes more affectionate. Has the feeling of love in her heart started to grow for Sandy because they are together all the time? 

"It's only natural that Amora keeps getting jealous of me. Apparently, she has liked you for a long time." Alice made a sullen face at Sandy.

The man just laughed. Alice felt that there was no funny conversation, but it could make Sandy laugh.

"Were you jealous when you found out that Amora had liked me a long time ago?" Sandy asked Alice with a wink.

Alice blushed and hit Sandy's arm lightly. She thought that being next to Sandy made her feel more comfortable.

Suddenly, Elena, who was alone, came in. She invited her teacher to come inside. Ah, today she was forced not to practice together with Elena first because she was recovering.

"How are you doing now, Alice? Is it better than before?" asked Elena while sitting on Alice's bed.

"Yes. I feel better now."

"Thank goodness then." Elena handed Alice a red pill. "Take this."

Alice immediately accepted Elena's gift and took it. In an instant, she could feel the benefits of the pill. Sandy felt happy and smiled.

"It's a soul pill. You've been seriously injured before, right? Not only will your strength come back fully, but you have one soul protecting your life." Elena explained briefly.

"One soul? How does that mean?" Alice still didn't quite understand.

"If your life is dying, the soul pill can help you and give you life one more time."

Alice now understands Elena's explanation. Why was this woman always so kind to her? How could she repay the kindness of Elena and the people of this Vestinel region?

She hugged Elena tightly and thanked her. She would not waste Elena's gift.

"It seems you're quite well, Alice."

"Yes."

"Why don't we practice together now?" asked Elena, seeking Alice's approval.

"Okay."

The rehearsal was over for today. Alice wanted to ask Elena about something. At that time, Elena used a small needle to defeat Amora. The needle contained a non-lethal poison, but it was able to weaken Amora.

"Can I ask you a question, Elena?"

"Sure. Ask about what? I'll answer it for you."

"You're a master of poison techniques, right?" asked Alice.

"Yes. So what, Alice? Are you interested in learning about it?"

Honestly, Alice was interested in poison techniques. She was eager to learn from Elena.

"I want to learn it. Is that possible?" The look on Alice's face was a little anxious. 

Elena did not answer her question immediately. The woman seemed to think for a few minutes. She was just waiting for an answer.

"Not yet, Alice. I'll teach you later." Elena patted Alice on the shoulder, then the woman left.

She didn't feel disappointed by Elena's decision. Perhaps it was not yet time to master the technique. Suddenly, Sandy and Chiki came and approached her after finishing practice.

"How was practice today? Are you tired?" asked Sandy, who invited Alice to sit together.

"I didn't feel tired at all today. Instead, I feel energized." Alice turned to Chiki and told the little chicken to come closer to her. Chiki was in Alice's arms, so spoiled. 

"You're really getting better, aren't you, Alice?" Sandy was worried about Alice and touched her forehead.

When Sandy held her forehead, her heart was beating fast. She felt she was blushing. Could this be what falling in love is all about? She looked at Sandy closely. Alice marveled at Sandy's flawless good looks. The pupils of those light blue eyes made her feel mesmerized.

'Oh my God, Sandy is really very handsome.'

Alice was just muttering. Because Sandy held her forehead, she felt very happy. 

"Alice, why are your cheeks flushed now? Are you feeling misbehaving around Sandy?"

She immediately covered the mouth of the very chatty Chiki. Sandy just chuckled at the two of them.
