CHAPTER 31

Gazing into Aurora's pretty eyes, Lucian lowered his mouth to hers. The feel of her soft lips had his heart thumping inside his chest like a sultry jungle drum. But when she tentatively moved to bring her arms up to circle his neck, then tangled her fingers in the hair at his nape, his pulse took off at a gallop.
Remembering where he was and noticing the cheer of the crowd as he kissed his wife brought him back to his senses and slowly broke the kiss.
“I love you,” she whispered to him and he just smiled at her.
She told him those words and it really meant a lot to him.
“I love you too, little girl,” he whispered back and the two faced the guests.
Jewel was the first to forget that there were people among them and came to hug them both.
“Let's live happily ever after just like in fairy tales,” she said and he hugged her tightly and kissed his angel on the top of her head.
“Let's live exactly like that,” he said.
They began to mingle with the guests who were congratulating them. Aurora and Jewel disappeared and he just let them be. Those two were pretty close and he just hoped his daughter won't end up like Aurora. Having one character like Aurora was enough; he wouldn't be able to handle the two of them.
“You look happy brother,” Keane said as he approached him.
“Never thought a day like this would come,” he said with a smile on his face.
“I thought the same too considering how you two came to meet.”
“It's still a shock.”
“I'm happy for you though. Now mom and dad don't have to worry about scandals,” Keane joked with his older brother.
“I think more will be coming.”
“Why do you say so?” Keane was already in gossip mood.
“That little wife of mine is real trouble. You will see it as time goes on,” Lucian was complaining but his tone was very dotting and full of love.
“If she is really what you say she is then why did you marry her?” Keane was curious about that.
“I guess I can't live without her craziness anymore,” he said with a smile.
“You are really in love. This is worthy something. I will give you a present.”
“You better because I will be waiting for it.”
“Where are your wife and daughter by the way?”
“I don't know but I hope they aren't doing anything stupid,” he said.
“Let's go and look for them. They have been away for too long.”
His little brother made sense, so they began to hunt for the two young ladies. On his search he met Wendy and Anna, Jewel's best friends.
“Congratulations Mr. Ladra,” they both said.
“Thanks girls. Have you seen Jewel and Aurora?”
“Yes, we were with them just now. They are in the waiting room,” Anna said.
“Okay, thanks,” he said and began to walk towards the waiting room.
He knocked once and entered the room. He wasn't surprised to see his two naughty women doing what they were doing.
“Dad, what are you doing here?” Jewel asked.
“I couldn't find you so I looked for you. What are you doing?”
“She was complaining about the dress, so we came to see what we can do about it,” Jewel replied.
“Baby, can you leave us alone. I want to talk to her,” he said as he looked at Jewel.
“Okay, I will go with uncle and see you when you come,” Jewel said and excused herself.
The door closed as Jewel and Keane left and he looked at his wife.
“Can you help me with this dress?” she asked coyly.
“What's wrong with it?” he asked as he approached her.
“I don't know how one can survive in it. I just want to get rid of it now and wear something comfortable,” she told him.
Lucian took both of her hands in his and he brought them to his mouth and kissed them.
“You look beautiful but I like you in less,” he said and she giggled.
“Mr. Ladra how could you be naughty in such a place?”
“Who can stop me? After all I'm just flirting with my lovely wife,” he said in a teasing tone.
“This lovely wife of yours wants to escape from this place. Do you think that's possible?” she asked pulling him towards her seductively.
“With me as your husband, anything is possible,” he said and captured her lips with his again.
They didn't sleep much the previous night and yet he wanted her so badly.
“We need you for the reception,” Jewel spoke behind them and he broke the kiss.
They both turned around and found Jewel giggling. Since when did she muster the ability to sneak up on people like that?
It was a waste of time asking because he knew the culprit. He looked at Aurora who was busy winking at Jewel and he knew his life was never going to be the same again.

They were now outside in the bright sunny afternoon and enduring the never-ending round of poses and photographs.
She smiled as she posed for the photographs; it was really the happiest day of her life. The official photographer requested one more pose before they headed for the reception.
Lucian circled her waist with his arm and nuzzled his face against her hair and breathed deeply.
“Mmm,” he whispered, the sound vibrating right down to her toes, “you look and smell delicious enough to eat.”
Aurora swiveled her head away from the photographers and whispered, “it's for your benefit.”
The reception came to an end and it was time for the two of them to go for their honeymoon. Nothing was packed and Aurora wondered if she would be stark naked the entire week.
Shortly after they have said their goodbyes and left the reception in Lucian's red TVR Tuscan sports car, she realized that they were headed for the airport. It didn't matter where they were going as long as she was with him.
