CHAPTER 43

She saw him and she ran towards him. He couldn't remain angry at her at all. She gave her whole heart to him and was devoted to him. Why would he keep digging things from the past?
She ran into his arms happily like she always did and he picked her up with a smile.
“I wasn't expecting you here,” she said smiling all over.
“I wanted to look at you. I missed you,” he said sweetly making her face flush red.
“I missed you too. Since we miss each other can I go and wait for you in your office?”
“Why would you want to do that?” he queried.
“So that I can see your face as much as I want and I won't get bored at all,” she said and kissed his Adam’s apple which bobbled.
“I love that idea. Maybe you can run a few errands for me,” he said teasingly.
“I can do that. So, am I going?” she asked excitedly.
“Yes, you are. Let's go and change into something and I will take you there,” he said as he carried her back to the mansion.
He took her into the elevator that took them to the third floor where their bedroom was. He put her down when they got inside.
“What should I wear?” she asked as she looked at the closet full of clothes.
He searched something for her and found the perfect outfit for her. He took out a summer dress full of floral prints. That would make her cheerful and less deadly. One would faint if they knew just how dangerous his little wife was.
She smiled and took the dress from him. She undressed right in front of him and put on the dress he had picked for her. She put on some black stilettos and a little bit of lipstick. When she finished putting on the lipstick something came to him.
When they were fighting back then, Aurora suddenly spoke a lot of nonsense and kissed Peter for about a minute. He could tell she was disgusted and yet she still kissed him. Aurora never put on a colorless lipstick before.
When they entered the morgue, she was wearing a light pink rogue and even when she left with Peter for their private talk but when she kissed Peter her lips were colorless. She applied the serum on her lips and fed it to Peter. How did she survive then?
Aurora turned to show him his final look and he smiled and complimented her.
“You look beautiful. Let's go,” he said and took her hand and wrapped it with his big one.
All the way to the car and back to his office his mind was busy. She risked her life to kill the man who murdered her boyfriend, the person who caused her to lose so much in life but why did she kill the granny?
It was confusing, he led her into the office with everyone staring but his wife was something else. She didn't care about anything. In her eyes she only sees what she wanted. If she wasn't his, he would have thought she was that kind of person who got easily obsessed with something. If this was her obsession then it was good.
“Bring her a box of pizza and some orange juice,” he instructed Victor as they arrive at his office.
“Yes sir,” Victor said and resumed his work.
He took Aurora inside his office. She had never come there before; he could see her excitement. She was touching everything like a child and he just let her be.
“Come here,” he said as he sat on his chair.
Aurora walked towards him and he pulled her down so that she was sitting on his lap.
“We shouldn't do this,” she whispered as she linked her arms around his neck.
“We can. I'm the boss remember,” he said ad she kissed him on the cheek.
“I almost forgot. Whatever you want me to do, I will do it,” she said coyly.
“Then if I ask you to kill someone for me, will you, do it?” he asked seriously, he just couldn’t help himself.
“I will kill the whole world if you ask me to,” she replied without hesitation.
“That doesn't seem to bother you,’ he was a bit worried about this response even though he was happy to hear that.
“Let's just say in this life I have dedicated myself to protect the man and the family I love. Whoever tries to get in that way will be my enemy,” she said seriously which should have scared him but he was getting a hunch of it and understanding things he couldn’t before.
“My strong little girl; I guess with you by my side, I shall fear no one,” he teased her as he kissed her lightly on her lips.
“I will protect you with everything I have Lucian,” she said and Victor knocked and came inside.
He put the food on the table before he disappeared quickly and Aurora laughed.
“What is funny?”
“It's funny how your assistant fled like that. I like him,” she said and that didn't feel good to Lucian who was a vinegar jar and hated it when his woman has another man in her eyes.
He held her chin with his fingers and made her to look at him.
“Don't ever say those words to another man. I'm a jealous man,” he said and captured those deadly lips with his.
Just thinking of the numerous times, he kissed her but never met a deadly fate like Peter was just amazing. He broke off the kiss and traced his fingers on her lips.
“I swear to you that I will do everything in my power to protect you. I will not let any harm befall on you. Whoever is your enemy shall become mine. Don't carry the weight alone but bear it with me,” he promised and he meant it.
She looked at him for long and she began to cry. He didn't know whether she was trained to cry or those tears were real.
