Chapter 22

Steve woke up from bed early the next morning, he quickly took his bath and dressed up thinking he will leave for his shop before Ash wakes up. But he was surprised when he walk down the stairs to the hall and find Ash siting on the couch in the hall already dressed up in his work suit and sipping coffee while typing on his laptop. Ash smiled warmly at Steve when he noticed him,

* I was waiting for you *

he tap beside him on the couch urging Steve to take a sit next to him.

* I'll drive you to your shop after breakfast *

he said and ordered uncle Vincent to bring Steve his breakfast and uncle Vincent did as he was ordered. Steve kept staring at Ash dumbfounded as he thought he'd leave before Ash wakes up. He ate his breakfast in silence not uttering a word to Ash.

Ash continuously stare at him the whole time and he quickly ate his breakfast, uncle Vincent came for the empty dishes after Steve finish eating. He stood up from the couch and started to walk out of the hall, Ash quickly follow behind and grab his hand which made Steve stop in his tracks.

* I said I wanted to drive you *

Ash said in sad and low tone. Steve yanked his hand from Ash's hold in annoyance.

* I will go by myself *

he angrily said to Ash. Ash stood still and watch him from behind as he slowly disappear from his sight, Steve drove his car out of the mansion.

He arrive at his shop and started to work alongside his assistant Rin and the other workers. The shop was busy as always with people walking in and out of the shop. They got an order for delivery and Steve ask Rin to deliver the flower ordered to it's location which was a very famous bar around the shop. Rin left to do the delivery and Steve continued on with his working tending to the shop and workers tend to the buyers.

And hour later, Rin returned back to the shop,

* Have you delivered it *

he asked her as he served a customer.

* Yeah *

she answered back in a cracked voice and Steve raised his head to look at her, he was so shocked to see bruises on her face and quickly walk to her.

* Why is your face bruised? What's happened? *

he worriedly asked her and she raised her hand to cover her face trying to hide her bruises face from him,

* N ..... nothing happened *

she reply back with a crack voice. Steve's face widened in horror and he started to get more worried.

* Did someone hit you? Who hit you? *

he asked her in a very loud voice.

* The delivery I took just now is always ordered by the same group of people in that bar. They're always asking for you, those people are really scary and weird. i accidentally knocked down a glass of liquor and one of them but me in the face

Rin reply and started to sob. Suddenly another order came through and one of his worker brought it to him,

* Boss, it's from them again *

he said and handed over the list of order to Steve.

Steve took the list and read the address on it, the list can with a personal note to him.

* Tell the boss to deliver it personally *

He read the note and crumble the list in his hand.

* F*ck them!!! They are threatening me? *

he muttered to himself and handed the list to the worker who brought it to him,

* go and pack what they have ordered *

he said to the worker and Rin quickly walk over to him with a worried look.

* Boss no, please don't go *

She worriedly said to him.

* This problem has to be quickly resolved before it gets any worse *

he said to her nonchalantly

" I have to see who is trying to sabotage my flower shop, tho I already have a few guesses " he thought.


Steve was led to the VIP area when he went to deliver the flowers in the bar, he stood behind the door and could hear their conversations,

* He is nothing but a coward trying to act all tough now!! Am I right, Zack? He's now acting as if he is a big shot. I have seen several guys like him, but I have never seen anyone who is so pretentious as him!!! Right Zack? *

One of them kept saying stupid things about Steve which enrage him and he squeezed his hand into fist in anger.

* It actually turn out to be Zack, I wonder if Mom put him up to it *

he muttered to himself and started to knock on the door.

* Hello, please your delivery is here *

he politely said and walk in when a voice gave him the permission to come in in a harsh tone, he close the door behind him when he walked in.

* I'll leave it here on the table *

he politely said and placed the boxes of flowers on the table.

* Wait a minute *

Zack shouted at him.

* Madam's son Steve, aren't we acquaintances? Where are your manners, at least say hello to my friends here *

Zack said and smirk at him.

" this guy pisses me off!!! "

he thought to himself.

* What do you want now, Zack? *

he asked him in annoyance.

* I finally have the chance to talk to you after out last encounter, I just wanted to meet you for old time sake *

Zack said and continued to make fun of him with his friends. Steve quietly stood still as they crack jokes at him, he got tired of them after a while.

* Have you all finished laughing? I am leaving now!! *

he said to them and started to walk away from them when Zack quickly grab his hand harshly,

* stop right there!!! Take these trash along with you!! *

he said and Steve angrily glared at him and yank his hand out of Zack's grip.

* Did my mom ordered you to do this? This is so childish that I can't even stand it. Throw them away if you don't want them since you're the one who ordered for them *

he harshly said to Zack.

* What your mom has installed for you is far more worst that this, and who the hell wants to keep your trashes!! *

Zack said to him in a sinister tone. Zack pick a glass of liquor and threw it on Steve's face, some went in his mouth and he accidentally swallowed it.

* Good job Zack!!! You did good *

Zack's friends started to laugh and praise him.

* You think because you're married to Mr. Martin so you have it?! *

Zack's friends continued to praise him and laugh harshly.

* Ha ... Ha *

Steve laughed and wipe his face with his shirt, he also pick up a glass full of alcohol and throw it on Zack's face.

* Don't you ever mess with me or my shop again!!! *

he shouted at Zack who was dumbfounded and walk out of the bar. Hinata quickly went back to his shop as it was late in the evening,

* they wasted my time!!! *

he muttered angrily to himself. He ask the workers to close and be also went home after he closes the shop. He quickly took a bath and laid on his bed when he got home,

* I have to visit the hospital tomorrow *

he muttered to himself as he felt a bit tipsy from the alcohol which he accidentally swallowed.

Hinata went to the hospital the next morning and explained what happened to Dr. Eliot, Eliot started to scold him.

* You drank alcohol? Are you serious?!! *

Eliot shouted at him.

* Yes, but it was an accident *

Steve replied to Eliot looking down and avoiding eye contact. Eliot look at him and gave him a sheepish smile,

* I'll personally write you a letter of recommendation so you take it to get your brain checked, Mr. Steve!!! *

He said to him and Steve apologized once more,

* It won't happen again. it truly was an accident. I'm sorry *

He said to Eliot.

* Did you bring your partner along? *

Eliot asked him and he got startled and nervous,

* He ... um, .... *

Steve didn't know what to say to Eliot.

* Didn't he even bother to come with you in your state?!!! *

Eliot angrily asked him.

* He ... had .... traveled *

Steve reply back to Eliot.
