Chapter 24

Steve returned to his flower shop leaving Ash behind after thief little dispute, Rin smile and welcome him as soon as he walk into the shop,

* oh boss Steve, you're back *

She said to him and followed Steve as he walk to his office.

* Yeah, I've delivered the flowers to the coffee shop, you don't need to worry. it turn out that the owner is a close friend of mine from school *

he said to her and she sighed in relief,

* I thought you were being bullied since you took so long, I nearly contacted the police. Oh and your husband came by so I asked him to go check up on you, did you see him on the way? *

Steve sat down on the chair in his office and gave her a serious look after she said that.

* the next time he comes and I'm not around, don't tell him my whereabouts, just tell him I'm not around, okay? *

he said to her in a serious tone. She nodded and start to walk out of the office, she suddenly stopped in her tracks and turn to him,

* By the way boss I nearly forgot, a lady called earlier claiming to be your mother

Steve quickly stood up in shock, his face turn pale and his heart started to race,

" What does she want? She could have called the mansion or my phone if she wanted to talk to me. Is she threatening me? or is that her way if saying she'll destroy the shop!! "

his thoughts started to run wild and terrorize his mind.

* Boss are you okay? *

Rin worriedly asked him.

* Yea ... yea ... I'm good, did my mom say anything when she called? *

he asked her in a worried and terrified tone.

* She said to tell you she couldn't reach you on your cell phone and when she called the house, she was told you've left for your shop so she took the number from the butler and called the office *

Rin said to him

* Alright, thanks for letting me know *

he said to Rin, She was about to leave when she stopped again

* Boss from the way your mom spoke, your mom seems to not like you at all, Are you not having a good relationship with your mom? *

She asked him in a very worried tone

* it's nothing I'll handle that myself *

he replied to Rin and she walk out of the office leaving Steve who looked terrified alone. He took his cell phone out of his pocket and saw his mom's missed calls, he nervously dialed his mom's number and she picked up the call.

" You ungrateful son, did you get Ash to sign the document of the company?! I sold all the properties he signed to me and used the money for an investment but I lost every cent I invested and in in a lot of debts. I order you to get him to sign the documents and I want all of your shared of the properties too starting with that flower shop!! I assured one of my clients I'm using that as payments to him!!! *

She yelled at him and he lost his temper

* Mom, I won't get him to sign anything to you and neither are you getting anything signed by me!!! if you want anything from him then go and ask him yourself but I assure you I won't do your biddings anymore and neither are you getting a cent from me!! Mom don't you even think about touching my flower shop!!! *

He replied back to his mom in anger which tick her off more

* You won't?!! Are you ready to see me go to jail???! Are you ready to see me die!!! I will be mailed if I don't pay up what I owe before the time they gave me to pay is due, what is your use?!! Why did you think I birthed you and raises you my whole life!!! You ungrateful son, you're so ungrateful and after all the money I spent in raising you is this how you repay me?!! I need you to do a little task and you're unwilling to do it?! *

She shouted at him more in an angry tone

* Raised me up?! Mom what you did to me isn't considered as raising up a child! I've transferred a lot of money to you, Ash has signed a lot of property documents to you and you're still asking for more? You abused and bullied me since childhood, you gave me a lot of scars on my body and I still continued to do everything you ordered me to do and now it's enough. I have done everything a son can do for his mother and I'm done!! I want to live life for myself and not for anyone else, not you, not everyone Ash!!! *

Steve shouted back to his mom in tears.

* Steve do you even know what you're saying? I'll disown you if you done give me what I asking for!!! *

She said to him in a sinister way.

* Heh ~ you've never actually treated me as your son, you just abused me and used me for your own profits and I've kept quiet for a long time!!! Now you want me to care about you disowning me?!! Mom do what you want, I couldn't care less *

Steve boldly said to his mom

* You're just someone who only cares about herself, I consider myself an orphan since a long time!!! You're not getting cent from me again mom!! *

he added.

* Steve I'm giving you one last chance, are you going to do what I ordered or not?!! *

His mom angrily asked him.

* Mom I have nothing to give you *

he said and thought of an idea which made him smirk

* Mom you're not that old, wouldn't you like to start working in the company rather? *

his mom hang up the call on him and he sigh.

* I've always thought of myself as an orphan since I was f*cking five and she's threatening to disown me? You've been profiting from me for a long time now, it's high time I put a stop to it *

he muttered to himself. Steve continued on with his work, it was almost time for him to head home when Issac his friend whom turned out to be the owner of the coffee shop he delivered the flowers to earlier walk into the shop and walk straight to Steve who was busily catering for some flowers, Steve turned to him in surprise.

* What are you doing here? *

Steve smile and ask Issac.

* I need your help with something *

Issac replied back to him

* What kind of help do you need from me? *

Steve cautiously asked him

* I was invited to a gay party and I'm to take a date with me, but the person I was supposed to go with stood me up and I badly need a date now so can you please accompany me as my date just for a couple of hours?!! *

Issac please with Steve with puppy eyes, Steve wanted to refuse but Issac kept pleading which made Steve sighed and agree,

* Just give me a couple of minutes let me put this away and close up *

he said to him and quickly want to put away the flower pot in his and and walk out with Issac. He closes his shop and followed Issac as he led Steve to a car parked not far from the shop.

* Is this car your? *

Steve asked him

* No ... I actually rented it just to show off. Hush .....! don't let anybody know *

he playfully replied to Steve. Issac drove then to the party and they got down from the car and walk in, the party was full of guys and they were dancing and drinking. Steve was stunned and stare dumbfounded, he had never been to a place like this of his own choice which made him nervous and his face heated up,

* What's got you blushing? is this too awesome for you?

Issac asked him and smirk in a teasing way.

* They're so .... unrestrained!!! *

Steve replied back to Issac

* Well every party has its own theme and this party's theme is wild *

Issac said to him nonchalantly.

* Wow .... this is so not me but I don't mind *

Steve smiled and reply back to Issac. Issac started to admire and drool over all the men in the party, he started to point to the ones he find attractive while Steve quietly stare at his actions and how Issac was busily drooling over hot guys.

* You're going to hurt yourself if you keep doing that *

Steve said to him as they keep walking farther in the party.
