Chapter 23

Steve left the hospital to his flower shop after his check up at the hospital, he felt relived when Dr. Eliot informed him there was nothing wrong in his results. The shop was busy as usual, a delivery was made and he decided to do the delivery himself not wanting to repeat what had happened to Rin. He reached the shop which the order was made and want in,

* Welcome sir *

a worker greet him as he walk in.

* Please I've brought your order *

Steve said to the worker and raised his head to take a look at the worker.

* You .... it's you *

the worker shout and Steve look at him in confusion,

* Y ... y ... you ... what's your name again? Ah ahh yes, Ash right? *

he shouted once more pointing his finger at Steve. Steve looked at him in annoyance,

* Steve, I'm Steve and Ash is my husband *

Steve said to him and sighed.

* yes!! Steve!! Sorry that slipped out of my mind a bit, Ha ha. You do remember me right I'm Isaac *

Issac quickly correct himself and release a nervous laugh.

* So is this your shop or do you work here? *

Steve asked him.

* That's right! I am the boss and I run my shop *

he replied to Steve and playfully wink at Steve.

* it's a nice coffee shop *

Steve compliment him.

* yes, I make superb coffee! I think I'm gates to make coffee *

Issac smile and playfully said to Steve, Issac suddenly grab hold of Hinata's shirt and started to push and pull him,

* You stopped being in contact with me, you stopped replying to my messages after you got married!!! *

Issac sadly said to him in a loud voice.

* I lost my old phone and I couldn't retrieve my old contacts after I bought a new one *

Steve replied nonchalantly to him.

* No wonder, I thought you forgot about your schoolmates after marriage *

Issac said to him.

* please don't make me look like a bad person *

Steve quickly replied back which made Issac laugh.

* Why are you delivering this? Do you work in that flower shop? I thought you're from a very wealthy family *

he curiously asked Steve.

* I own the flower shop, you know I've always been interested in flowers and I wanted to be a florist before my marriage *

Steve replied back to him.

* That's great!! it's better than me roasting coffee here *

he said back to Steve.

* Why don't we exchange contacts so we keep in touch, give me your number *

Steve said to him and Issac pulled Steve closer to him,

* Oh Steve, it's been so many years. So were you able to fall for someone else other than your bully of a husband? *

Issac stare intensively into his eyes and worriedly asked him.

* N ... no ... I don't think I could ever live someone else apart from him *

Steve look elsewhere and replied to him as he release a nervous laugh. Issac suddenly frowned and let go of his shirt,

* oh ... that's sad, then there's no need to keep in touch with you!! *

Issac said to him in a serious tone. Steve was very shocked to hear that and he stood there quietly not saying a word. Issac started to laugh at his reaction,

* Stevw relax, I was only joking. I wish you could see the look on your face, you looked so dumb *


Their conversations went in for a while as they catch up with each other, Steve left there after a couple of hours to his shop. He bumped into Ash as he got closer to the shop,

* You ..... what are you doing here? *

he asked Ash in shocked.

* I came by to see you, but your assistant Rin told me you went to make a delivery so I should go check up on you and decided to wait for you here *

Ash stared intensively at him,

* You took hours to make a delivery *

he asked Steve in anger.

* Mhmm ... this doesn't concern you, this is my own work and whatever I do here has no business with you with you!!! You can't order me around or tell me what to do or what not to do!! *

Steve angrily replied back to him.

* What did you do in those hours?! *

Ash asked Steve in an angry loud voice.

" What's wrong with him these days? he said he doesn't love me but now he's behaving like a protective husband "

Steve thought to himself.

* You left for the delivery for a very long time!! What were you doing? *

Steve got startled as Ash started to get angry, he crossed his hands over his chest and stared angrily back at Ash not wanting to back down.

" I'm not going to allow them to treat me the way they want anymore " he thought


* I ... I ran into an old classmate when I went for the delivery, he owns the shop which I went to make the delivery to so we sat and had convert catching up *

he replied to Ash

* Is that a problem? * he boldly asked Ash.

* Since when did you start having friends? *

Ash shouted at him in rage.

* Heh ~ I'm I not allowed to have or make friends of my own? You may be my husband but Ash this is my personal like. I'd like to inform you that you're overstepping your boundaries!! Step aside I'd like to be on my way now *

Steve started to walk past Ash.

* An old classmate? it must be a man!! I can't believe he is hooking up with other men *

Ash muttered to himself in anger and quickly grab hold of Steve by the arm, be pulled Steve towards him and pushed him against the wall. He grab Steve harshly by his jaw using one hand and lock both Steve's hand on the wall using the other.

* Ughh!!! What the hell do you think you're doing? *

Steve yelp out in pain.

* I feel like strangling you right now! *

Ash said in anger and he glared him which made Steve stare at him in horror and startle, he regain his senses and kick Ash in the crotch.

* Are you out of your f*cking mind?! What do you even think you're doing? Who the f*ck are you to invade in my personal life! Go get your brain checked out!!! *

Steve shouted angrily at him. Ash held his crotch in pain and stared dumbfounded at him,

* I am your legal and lawful husband!! And I have every right to invade in your life!!! From now on you're to handle all the delivery to your workers, that is if you doing want the shop to be closed in the future. And you're ..... to stay away from other men *

Ash said in furry and pain. Steve stared at him in surprise

* A .... Ash .... are .... you ... jealous? *

Steve started to laugh at him

* Am I jealous? Me jealous? You think so highly of yourself Steve. I just don't want rumors to start about you seeing other men!!! *

he nervously replied to Steve.

* Heh ~ could you have fallen for me *

Stevw asked in an annoying and playful tone.

* Do you think that will ever happen? Impossible. You're starting to think too highly of yourself. I'd be grateful if you left the mansion today instead of a month time, I don't care!! *

Ash said back to him

" What the hell am I even saying!!! I want to get close to him not push him away "

Ash was busily scolding himself in his mind when Steve suddenly grabbed his tire and pull him close, Steve brought his lips close to Ash's lips and Ash's face reddened up. Ash subconsciously leaned his lips in trying to kiss him when Steve harshly pushed him away,

* Stay away from me!! And remember I'm going to leave the mansion soon, you don't have to tell me you wouldn't care, I won't bother you to love me and same goes for you!!! *

Ash stared dumfounded and hurt at Steve's words.
