Chapter 29

Ash quietly drove his car back to the mansion as it was very late in the evening, when he was into the hall all the servants and uncle Vincent walk to him as they were all worried about Steve's health.
* Boss Ash how is the Young Master doing? *
Uncle Vincent ask him in a very worried tone and Ash smile warmly to them.
* Steve is out of danger now, his operation went good and he has been transferred to the ward now he is resting to recover *.
Ash said to them and they all sigh in relieve,
* there is a very good news I want to share with you all, Steve is with a child!! *
Ash happily said to them as he couldn't hide his excitement and they all congratulate him, he walk upstairs into Steve's room and sat on his bed. Ash slowly scan the room and he noticed how it felt very empty.
* he has really moved most of his stuffs away, he really does hate me a lot now. Steve why don't you just be obedient and listen to me!! I really want to make it up to you, I want to show that I can try to treat you better than I did *
Ash took Steve's pillow and laid on his bed as he sniffed Steve's scent on the bed, he soon fell into deep slumber out of exhaustion and grieve.
Ash woke up very early the next morning and he had uncle Vincent prepare and pack breakfast for Steve, he hurriedly drove to the hospital and hurriedly walk to the ward and to Steve's room. He slowly open the door and walks in to find Steve who was already awake and was seated on the bed as he lean his back on the bed head and was staring into space, Ash quickly walk to him worriedly and place Steve's packed breakfast on the table and sat on the chair new Steve's bed.
* Are you not feeling well? Why are you awake so early? should I got get the doctor? *
Ash ask him in a very worried tone and Steve turn his head to him,
* No ... I am okay, I am just tired if laying down *
Steve reply back to him nonchalantly and Ash quickly set up the bed table for him as he arrange is breakfast and Steve ate in silence, after he was done eating Ash pack up the empty bowls back into the bag and took out the fruits he brought for Steve. He peel off a Clementine and started to feed Steve, Steve was hesitant and didn't want Ash to feed him but he soon have in as Ash didn't want to budge and pest him.
* You'll return back to the mansion after you get discharged from the hospital, you can be very well taken care of back at the mansion. You don't need to concern yourself with anything else, okay *
Ash happily said to him which annoyed Steve.
* No!! .. that won't be necessary, I've already rented the apartment and I'll be staying there when I get discharged *
Steve firmly said to him not backing down which made Ash slightly annoyed at his attitude,
* Why can't you be obedient!! Stop talking about moving out *
Ash said to him in annoyance and continued to feed him the fruits.
* Stop acting like my husband and stop making decisions for me, you've already made yourself very clear to me that you'll never return the love I had for you so stop acting up now so we don't have any unnecessary relationships!! *
Steve angrily said to him which made Ash feel very hurt.
* Steve I am truly sorry for all the hurtful words I've said to you and and the hurtful actions which I've done unto you, but I really want to take responsibility for both of you. I'll do my every best to treat you both well *
Ash said to him in a very sad and serious tone.
* I'm getting tired after breakfast and I'd like to rest now so please get out for me to rest *
Steve coldly said to him and harshly started to urge him to get out of the room.
* Steve I know I have wronged you a lot and no amount of apologises I say now will be able to mend your bruised heart, I am willing to accept any punishment you have for me but with your condition now I won't ever let you go ... please Steve .. *
Steve quickly pull himself away from him as Ash started to lean in,.
* Why won't you just understand and let me!!! I now want to live life the way I see fit and it's no business of yours if I want to leave the mansion!!,stop being annoying and stop pestering me already!!
Steve harshly said to him which made Ash get up from the chair in anger.
* I won't ever let you go Steve, just know this *
he said to Steve and walk out of the room and Steve sigh in relief as he laid back on the bed staring into space again and thinking.
* Heh ~ you say you want to treat me well? Where were all this talks when I badly needed to hear them most, that jerk! as if I'll believe in such nonsense from his mouth, he is only saying all that because of his child in me!! The day I believe in him is the very day I am awarding myself as the world's most biggest fool!! *
he laid down quietly and decided to rest his exhausted body.
Issac came to the hospital to visit Steve when he heard from Rin about Steve's situation, he walk into Steve's room and found him sound as sleep so he decided to let him sleep and took a seat next to his bed. After about an hour of waiting Steve slowly started to open his eyes and adjust them to his surrounding when he noticed Issac,
* Issac you? *
he asked Issac in a very surprise tone and was shock to see Issac there since he hadn't inform Issac about him being hospitalized.
* How did you come here? When did you get here? *
Steve ask him in surprise and sat up on the bed.
* I've been here the whole time you were sleeping, I just didn't think it's good to wake up a patient when he is sleeping *
Issac pull the chair closer to him and said in a very worried tone.
* I heard about your condition, is that why you refused to take alcohol at the party that night? Why didn't you just tell me so?! Hmm, it'll be very difficult to leave that bully of a husband now. But I think it's good since he'll start chasing you around like a good husband, ughhh Steve since you love him to death why don't you just let go of past things and focus on the present and what's to come in the future *
Issac said to him in a sad and serious tone as he felt very worried for Steve.
* I don't have the heart and strength to even get back at him and there isn't anything I need from him now or in the future because whatever good he decides to do for me now will only be for his child and I don't need that *
Steve said to Issac with glassy eyes as his tears threatened to fall but he quickly held them in and smile bitterly.
* To be honest I don't like him, but who knows whether he sincerely starts resting you better out of the goodness of his heart and not because of the baby. I want you to be very happy and we both know the happiness you seek can only be found with him. *
Issac warmly said and smile at Steve.
* I'll get going now so you get more rest and get better soon *
he said and got up from the chair, Issac brought Steve to his embrace before he started to walk out,
* Oh Issac I'd like you to do me a favor, please can you occasionally check up on my shop and assist Rin run it whenever you're free *
Steve quickly said to him and Issac agree before walking out of the room.
It's been a week now since Steve was admitted to the hospital and Ash trying his best to get Steve to let him back into his life as Steve was constantly pushing him away, Ash had come early to visit and take care of him in the more and they ended up arguing as usual before he left for work leaving Steve to rest and get better. Later in the day Mavis came to visit him on the orders of Ash
* Sir's wife Hinata, the sir asked me to come and show you the videos of Madam's treatments and how she is doing now *
she said to him and he felt very happy to see how his mom was doing, Mavis pass her laptop to him and he started to go through, but he stop scrolling as a file with his name caught his attention and he glance at Mavis who curse beneath her voice in shock.
* What is this? *
he quickly ask her and she started to get nervous so Steve click on the file and started to view the contents of the file, he was so shocked to see the investigations which Ash had done on him and he look at Mavis in anger and stunned.
* He had me investigated?! Just how little is his trust for me? *
Steve ask dangerously annoyed and angry,
* Sir it's not my place to say but the boss truly loves you, he had the investigation done on you because he wanted to know little things about you like your birthday and the rest *
She quickly reply back to him and Steve let go of the matter and continued to watch the videos of his mom, Mavis pack up and left after he was done. Steve had gotten a lot better and Eliot had come to discharge him, after Eliot approved of his discharge he quickly pack up his belongings in his backpack and left the room he was in. He was thinking about getting him to his apartment but he was shocked to see Ash waiting outside the hospital for him with his car, Steve pretended not to see him and continued to walk bypass him. Ash quickly grab hold of him before he could walk away.
* I'll apologise later but for now I am taking you back to the mansion *
Ash said to him and quickly carry him in his arms and sat him down in the care before Steve could protest, Ash quickly took his seat and started to drive,
* Don't you understand that I don't need you to take care if me?! I can take very good care of myself!! *
Ash tell at him but Ash ignore him and sped to the mansion, he got down from the card and went over to Steve's side and open the door, but Steve didn't want to get out so Ash carry him and walk into the hall.
