*not a chapter*

Dear Readers,

I want to thank every one of you for reading through these two books. If I’m being honest, I never expected to make a second book, yet here we are.

The Color Blue was my first real completed-story where I felt the need to make more than just what I had originally planned. At first, it was supposed to be a love story between Scarlett and Zane, starting with their ‘fated mates’ and ending with them simply riding off into the sunset. But then…I had completely forgotten about her other half. The vampire in her.

So I went back, fixed that so the story made more sense…and it did. But there were still too many plot holes and holes in the world they existed in for me to really be comfortable with. So I gave that some thought. And some more. And some more. Before I knew it, their story took on a life of its own and I saw potential. I saw a future for more than just ‘Red & Blue, the mated-pair’.

I’ve always been fascinated with the supernatural-fantasy genre, so it’s really no surprise that I’ve ended up here: working on thirteen projects (not all at once). I’m going to try to showcase as many of the supernatural community as I can in those books, including Reapers, Vampires/Revenants, Witches, Draki, Feline-Shifters, Dream Walkers, Hunters, Elementals, Mimics, Ghouls, Kitsune, etc. Most of them will take place in the world of The Color Blue, but most can be read as stand-alones.

As some of you may be aware already, The Color Blue isn’t my only project here on AnyStories, but those have been on the back-burner because these books have been my main focus. I’ll try to complete those ASAP since I know I’ve been slack on those fronts…but that may take a while. TBD.
In the meantime, I’m to be on hiatus until April (I should be graduating from my program then so I should have more time to write then…). I can’t keep up the pace of every-other-day updates right now- but I appreciate all the patience you guys have given me so far.

A special thanks to you Readers who comment when I update. There’s nothing better than seeing those comments and knowing someone’s actually enjoying/reading the story. I enjoy interacting with my readers, even if it’s just an emoji that I send your way as a response to your comment - just know you’re appreciated.
Not going to lie, it’s hard to put my writing out there, but I appreciate those of you who have stuck with me this far and actually enjoy my books. You guys are great!

Now, to the real reason behind this already long-winded note:

I am making a third book - centering on Red & Blue.

Yes, their story is technically over…ish… (If you can’t tell, I really hate good-byes!) But more than that, I feel like I’ve skimmed over a lot of the Wolven culture throughout the books. I hate leaving things unfinished, and absolutely detest plot-holes…so…I’ve been entertaining the idea of making Book 3 focus on that, and closing up loose ends.

It will focus more on the Berner Wolven, the fallout from the events, and things revolving around anything I may have missed in the last two books. I’m going to try to close it up in this last book… Of course, I thought it was just going to be ONE book when I first started the project in 2020, so I really can’t promise anything yet.
Now, I’m going to advise those of you who think this is a perfect ending to stop here! You probably won’t miss out on anything important. I tried to end the book on a high-note and not so cliff-hanger-y as Book 1.

In book three, there will be more mature themes (including: more gore, sex scenes - not that detailed - probably, more swearing, possible drugs, scenes/memories of abuse (not by the main characters), and probably more things that may be disturbing to you…) - because, let’s face it, Scarlett and Zane are going to be married, out of high school, and grown-ass adults…

If you’re uncomfortable with that, I’m sorry in advance if you’re mad at me for this decision. But you have been warned! Proceed with caution or stop here! I don’t want to offend anyone, which is why I’m letting you know now.

If you can/have been able to tolerate any of my other works, then you have nothing to worry about. I more-than-likely won’t go darker than that… Probably…

To the rest of you (if there’s anyone left), I will start posting the chapters as I usually do: in late August (of 2023). (I swear I’m probably making the explicit stuff sound worse than it may be, but it’ll be written without kid-gloves from here-on-out.) The Color Blue was supposed to be more YA, but I got carried away..so…yeah… It’s too difficult to constantly censor my writing, but I try not to just randomly drop f-bombs… at least in The Color Blue.

Be on the look out for it if you’re one of the ones who want to read it: Silver Bite.

Anyway, I’ve been giving the self-promotion route more of a try recently, and I will be posting excerpts from things I’m working on - possibly extra stuff like upcoming book covers and the like - on my Facebook page (Avie Gee or Avie) in the future. I’m not great at making covers, but I’m trying to handle that myself.

Again, thank you, everyone for coming this far with me! I hope you’ve at least enjoyed the journey!
