Chapter 46: Flames of Trust

*I was about to get down from the taxi but suddenly I was frozen in my seat. I blinked twice to make sure I was seeing correctly. My chest suddenly tightened at the two figures.*

*Why are they together? And why are they hugging each other? It's like my heart is being squeezed by the image of that hug.*

*I don't want to doubt Fire's love for me, but as I looked at them, I felt like I suddenly became smaller.*

*What do I have against a first love?*

**Chapter 46**

I woke up because of the light that shone on me. Even though I was sleepy and my vision was blurry, I was forced to wake up because of the person I knew so well who was now standing in front of me.

"Fire?" I uttered his name in surprise.

"Good morning, sleepy head," he greeted..

"How do you feel? Are you okay?" I know the concern in his voice.

I nodded in response. Last night because I didn't show up on the East Side that's why he kept calling me. I told him I was feeling bad and then he didn't bother me anymore. It's just surprising because he actually came here to my apartment today. I couldn't help but feel guilty for lying to him.

"Do you want to walk?" I asked and smiled slightly. Even if that's the only way I want to get back at him because I doubted him. I shouldn't have done that and I shouldn't have left last night just because of what I saw.

So what if he and Lovelle hugged last night? Fire assured me that everything is over between the two of them so I have nothing to be jealous of.

"Are you sure you're okay? Don't you want to get checked up?"

I smiled, at the same time caressing his cheek. "Thanks for the concern, Fire, but I'm fine now that you're here," I answered.

"That's cheesy," he said and laughed softly.

"Who else will I inherit it from?" I said and stared hard at him.

He scoffed. "Ah, that's it? So you're saying I'm cheesy?"

I shook my head. "Did I say a name?"

He also shook his head and laughed again. "Okay, let's go out," he invited. That's why I hurried to the bathroom. Once inside, I stopped for a moment when I remembered something.

"Fire?" I called him. But he didn't answer so I went out to see if he was still inside my room or if he was already outside.

"Fire!" I shouted, at the same time my eyes widened and I ran to him.

"Red-nice!" He bit his bottom lip while holding my underwear that he took from my drawer.

"That's mine!" I tried to take it from his hand but the fool really annoyed me and raised his hand.

I stopped jumping and glared at him. He leveled his face at me and snorted. "Kiss me first.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Why, are you my boyfriend?" I also answered him teasingly.

"W-What?" I guess my answer was not what he was expecting, that's why he was surprised.

Shock was all over his face. I wanted to laugh because of his expression but I hold it back because he might scold me.

I used that opportunity to grab my underwear. I turned my back on him and went back to the bathroom with a smile on my lips.

He thought, huh?

I made the arrangement quickly because I wanted to be with him for a long time. Also, it's impatient so it might get angry if I take too long.

When I got down, I noticed that he was deep in thought. I guess he didn't even notice my presence.

“Fire..." I called and he just looked up. "Let's go?"

He stood up and led me outside. I was immediately surprised to see the big bike parked outside the gate.

"That's what we're riding?" I asked.

"Any problem?"

I feel like I want to go back to the apartment and pretend I'm not feeling well. When I was young, I was afraid to ride a motorcycle. I'd rather walk than ride like that. I don't want to die!

"Don't tell me..." He didn't finish what he had to say when I nodded. He seems to get me scared to ride a motorcycle.

"You won't get hurt, just trust me." He held my hand and the nervousness I felt seemed to gradually decrease. I have confidence in him. I know he won't let me get hurt.

He took a helmet and put it on me. Then he helped me get on. "Hold on tight," he said. Later, I suddenly hugged his waist when he started the motor. My hug was tight because I was afraid of falling. My face was also pressed against his back while closing his eyes. I was afraid to open my eyes.

"Come on, Serena. Just enjoy this moment. Don't be scared. I won't allow any bad things to happen to you." The words he uttered were like magic.

I slowly opened my eyes as my face lifted. I immediately feel the breeze caressing my skin. I smiled because my fear was slowly disappearing.

"See? You're enjoying it now," he said.

"Thank you, Fire."

"Sometimes you just need to face your fears so you can overcome them. That's what I'm doing," seryoso ang boses niya.

He parked inside a mall. He helped me down afterwards. We just circled inside while he held my hand. I felt at peace.

"I feel very safe and secure because he is here by my side.

"Do you want something?" he asked.

"Nothing," I answered sparingly.

We passed by a K-pop store and its displays caught my attention, especially a very cute panda keychain.

"You like it?" he asked again.

"Ah, no," I shook my head while pulling him to World of Fun.

As soon as we entered, everyone seemed to stop what they were doing. Women looked at Fire with pure amazement that if they could, they would have started worshipping him already.

I pulled him to the cashier to buy tokens. After buying, we immediately started playing.

I just looked at Fire while he was happily playing Tekken. When he got bored, he played car racing. The smile on his face did not disappear, so I smiled too.

"I never thought these things could be so much fun!" Traces on his face

the great joy after playing. "Did you just come here today?"

He nodded blankly. "I was just a kid, I always wanted to go to this place," he answered. "But my parents were always busy and they really had no time for these kind of things."

There was sadness in his voice so I felt sad for him too. After all, he already has everything, but it's just sad that he didn't experience such simple things when he was young.

I can't imagine how sad his childhood must have been. Even though my family is poor, I can say that I experienced all the simple things that a child wishes for.

"Quit staring at me with that sympathy in your eyes." He tried to raise his voice but the sadness in it could still be seen. "Just a moment and I'm going to the restroom first. You stay here and I'll be right back," he said goodbye then stood up.

While waiting for his return, I took his place in the car racing game. Just like his goodbye, he really just disappeared for a moment. Men are really different in the restroom. Since they don't retouch anymore.

I suddenly pulled him so he gave me a clueless look. "What are you doing?" he asked.

I didn't answer him, instead I pulled him to Dance Dance Revolution. Even now, I want him to experience being a child again.

I was about to insert a token when Fire suddenly stopped me. "Are you kidding me?" he asked with a frown.

"This is fun," I answered.

"Fun my ass! Oh, well! My ass is more fun," bulong niya.

"Let's refrain from talking about your ass, Fire. For now, let's dance," I said, winking at him.

He didn't do anything when I dropped a token. The song started and I started dancing too. Fire was just next to me while staring at me. I pulled him to accompany me but the crazy one didn't budge.

Of course I didn't give up either.

"Please...." I know I look stupid in front of him now because of my puppy eyes but I don't care. I will do everything, just enjoy Fire.

"There's no way I'm dancing," he said and winked.

"Fire, please." I softened my voice even more while blinking my eyes.

"D"mn! Fine!"

My smile widened when he danced with me. Suddenly more people watched us, especially women. Others were squealing because of Fire and others I noticed were making videos. He is really popular even outside the school campus.

Meanwhile, the smile on my lips couldn't disappear when I saw him enjoying himself while dancing, all I wanted was for him to enjoy himself even if we both looked stupid. We danced to Love Shot by EXO and Blood Sweat Tears by BTS.

WHILE he was dancing earlier I realized something. Nobody's perfect. He's such a handsome man and has such a beautiful voice, but when it comes to dancing? No comments.

"Why are you laughing?" Fire asked me and I just laughed more with his question..

We are inside the ice cream parlor and enjoying our order. I thought about him dancing earlier and I couldn't help but laugh because it was really funny. It's very difficult for him to keep up with the steps and he makes mistakes even if it's just basic. But the bottom line is that he did his best so it's okay.

"I'm just happy to see you dance," I said and smiled widely.

"Do you want me to show my moves again?" he asked with a smile.

"Nevermind.” I giggled.

He frowned. "But am I good at dancing?"

"You sing well, Fire," I answered.

"Are you making fun of me?" He was obviously pissed because his nose was red. This is one of the signs that he is upset or angry.

"No!" I laughed softly.

After we went to the ice cream parlor, I pulled him to the theme park. As soon as we entered, I was immediately amazed by the rides. I wanted to ride the Ferris wheel but Fire pulled me to the bumping cars.

"I don't know how." I admitted.

Because of that, only Fire drove and I rode alone. The kids bump into us but Fire doesn't give up. He also crashes them but he makes sure that the children will not be hurt.

We laughed as we collided. It's just fun because I had the chance to see his childish side. He's always serious so it's nice that even now we're both back to childhood.

"That was fun," he commented afterwards and while we were buying corndogs. But not only me, with the children. He also bought them a snack which was really fun. I guess Fire has a sweet side when it comes to kids.

What kind of father will he become by any chance?

"Why?" he asked. "Am I too handsome?"

I raised an eyebrow and smiled. "No, I'm just glad you enjoyed it."

"All thanks to you!" He messed up my hair so I frowned.

"Fire! Don't touch my hair!"

"You're still the most beautiful girl to me." Then he squeezed my cheek. I smiled secretly because of what he said.

When we finished eating, he took my hand and put something in it. It was a hard object and when I looked at it, it turned out to be a panda keychain. This is what I was looking at earlier when we passed by a K-pop store.
