Chapter 14

"Water?" Jez reached out to me as I wiped a towel around my neck. I just finished practicing dance for our talent portion. I am currently practicing for Ms & Mr. St. Dominic.

I smiled at her and took it in her hand. "Thank you. Aren’t you leaving yet? It's six in the evening. My trainer is coming home. " I told her. She shook her head and looked around the room where we were practicing today. This was an empty room in the house that we were practicing.

"Maybe I'll have dinner here? Can I?" she smiled.

I nodded.
"Of course you can. Let's go to my room. I'll just fix myself." We entered my room and did what had to be done. We spent time there. I walked out of the closet and saw Jezel texting. She glanced at me and stopped texting.

"I noticed earlier, Tito Henry isn't here. What about your step mom and step sister?".

I sat on the bed. I saw Jezel hover over my dress. I am wearing a peach silk night dress that is thigh -length while she is wearing a t shirt and jeans.

"They're in Boracay." I said briefly and combed my hair.

"Oh? You’re not coming with them?"

I shrugged. "Nope, I'm busy practicing Jez. I need to put my mind on it. I want to win. I need to win." I've been used to it since then that I always win.

"Uh. Okay, so who are you with here?"

"Nana Sena, the maid, and Savier."

"Oh .." she nodded. "So, what's your step sis' habit? I think she’s flirting with Sav? She looks aggressive."

I laughs a bit. How did the conversation get there? "Uhm sort of, yeah. But, I don't have time for that. And I know Sav loves me so much. "

"Really?" her tone of voice seemed to change. "You know Rox. I support you but I am worried."

"Hm? Why?"

She grinned and shook her head. "You're so stupid. I know that your feelings is just a puppy love and we all know that in the future, your feelings will change eventually. We're still young and you know that you and Savier? "She tsked. " So taboo Rox! "

My smile faded and my face became serious. “I don’t see myself love another man, Jez.I don't want to love someone else. " I bowed and shed tears. "I know it's complicated that's why I need a friend right? I need you, Jez. I need someone to support me. I also don't know how long it will be. I'm ready to feel all the pain of this."

She held my hand. "You're too young to feel this pain Rox. Savier gives you pain." she whispered.

I smiled at her. I held her hand. "I love the pain, you are talking about Jez. What ever will people say.Then sorry. I am stubborn to listen to their judgments." She took a deep breath and avoided.

At dinner time Savier had just arrived from work. It was too quiet and only the spoon and plate were making noise.

Jez cleared her throat. "Sav, don't you have your own condo unit?"
My forehead furrowed at her question but I ignored it.

Savier nodded and look at me. "Eat more, baby." he said. I close my eyes sharply because he doesn't have a handle on his actions! Nana Sena might hear him! He even call me Baby ?! Darn!

Jez turned to Sav. "E 'why do you live here?" Jez has become so talkative now.

"Brother Henry, wants me and because Rox is here" He glanced at me and I was shocked when he wiped my mouth.

"Sav!" I warned. The brute just smiled at me. Jez never spoke again and focused on her food.

Sav pulled the chair to my side and whispered. "What are you doing?" I raised an eyebrow and looked at my plate he was looking at. The vegetables are separated from the pork. I put it on the side and didn’t eat it.

"I don't like veggies!" I hissed.

"Uh no. Stop being a headache to me baby. Eat ..."

I rolled my eyes. "Stop being a headache to me too. Can you please step back? Maybe someone will see." I whispered back here. He muttered a curse like he's having a problem.

"What?" I sneered.

"Eat or else .... You won't sleep alone tonight." I was shocked because of that and caught a glimpse of Jez who dropped the spoon loudly.

"The fuck Sav?" I cursed him.

"Stop cursing too ... Or else you'll sleep naked to--"

"Rox? I'm going home. I've lost my appetite." Jez spoke coldly . Sav and I both looked at her. I cleared my throat.

"Uh okay..but your food." I pointed the food.

She shook his head. "I-I've really lost my appetite. I-I'm not feeling well." She says looking at Sav. And I feel some strange with that look. But then again. I shouldn’t doubt them lightly.

"Okay, I'll take you to the driver. Nana Sena!" I called nana Sena but another assistant came.

"Ma'am, Nana Sena isn't here. She's in the market. Because she forgot the medicine she bought." she says.

"All right. Who's the avail driver there?"

"Oh! No one ma’am. Ruben is with Nana Sena.Dodong went home because his girlfriend gave birth. "

"Oh! Is that so." I looked at Sav who was holding his lip and had been looking at me for a while. Before I can even say what’s on my mind.

"Can you drive me home, Sav?" Jez asked with a smile. Sav nodded.

"Of course.." and I feel my heart hurt and scattered like a scratch.

"But Rox is coming. Right Rox?" He grinned evilly like he had some evil idea in his mind.

I bit my lip so hard. "Y-Yes, go ahead."

“But, I thought you’re tired Rox?” Jez said.

"Yeah But not so tired that we can’t drive you home." I smiled and Jez smiled back at me.

"All right, let's go. Thanks for the dinner!"

I was in the front seat while Jez was behind us.

"What do you need for the competition?" Sav asked me. We've been talking for a while and he occasionally kisses my palm.

"Uh .. Some talent outfits and night gowns. There are also tribal outfits. I need a new six inches heels and new make ups. " I said looking on the road.

"Just list that all. I'll buy it."

"Oh, don't. I know dad can afford it".

"Me too." he said firmly.

"What can you say Rox ? Caleb or William will be Mr St. Dominic? Their both hot right? "Jez change the topic.

I laughed "I don't know Jez. Well, lets see. It's not about the looks. Must also have a brain and strategy. You know, I won a lot of pageants before and I have my own techniques and strategies. Should not be concentrated by the looks. There must be a brain and action. "

"That's my baby." Sav smiled.

"Tss. Bitch." Jez uttered some words lowly that I could not understand. I saw Sav look at her sharply in the rearview mirror over his head and shook his head.

"Jez? Did you say something?"

"Uh no. I said ...I am so sleepy. "

I giggled when I remember a moment in our past.

"I remember you sleep so noisy before Jez."

She laughed behind us. "Gosh! You don't have to say that out loud. It's embarrassing for Sav! I don't even remember that. I just remember sleeping naked." She laughed so hard.

Really Jez? Who the hell care? It's embarrassing, isn't it? I faked a smile. Now I can see that Jez is talkative. We have sent Jez and we are on our way home.

"You want some drive thru food, hmm?" Sav caressed my cheek. My heart is beating so much now especially since he's not in a hurry to go home.

I nodded. "Yes. Just fries and coke please."

"Fine." He approached and planted a kiss on my lips. "Shit! I miss your lips". He whispered while looking at my lips. It's good to have a stop light.

"Gosh, Sav! Stop it-". he kissed me again.

"There .. I'm full charge." He teased.

"Che!" I pushed him.

He laughed and started the car. That night we ate together inside his car. He temporarily stopped the vehicle in the park near the subdivision.

I didn't rebuke him for kissing me and I felt my lips thicken with his kisses. He didn't stop until nightfall. I can hardly eat well because we only kissed inside his car.

"Chin up!" Said of my make up artirst. This is the night! I'm still in casual attire and just re -entered the dressing room at the backstage. Our introduction is over and I am currently retouching here in back stage. We have our own dressing room. Which is so good to me because I'm not used of so many people around me and I can't concentrate. I’ve memorized all my style on ramping and I have a thought that might be asked.

"Gosh! Even if you have freckles…. You are still a Goddess!" My bi make up artist said.

"Oh well, since birth and yes, I am half. Half beautiful and half sexy. That's why." I was just kidding.

The gay burst into laughter. "Oh! Your dad is so nice to you!" Papa will watched and he was at the very front of the stage as well as Sav. So I’m super super nervous not because of the audiences but because of Savier! So Darn!

We heard the emcee speak and the audience applauded. My cellphone also rang. I looked at it and saw Sav texted.

From Savier: I'm here in the stock room. I'll wait.

Shit! My heart is pounding. '' Just wait. I need to pee. " I excused.

The gay nodded. "All right. Hurry up huh ?! And time is running out. You're going to put on your gown. " I nodded. I hurried to the stockroom near CR.

Before entering, someone pulled me there. It was dark there and I just felt one hand holding my back and one at my waist. Sav’s kissing me. Fuck.

'' Sav! Ugh! ”I groaned when he bit my lip.

"Shit! If I only knew you were so sexy I wouldn't have give you permission to join the pageant ! All boys were gawking at you like a dog! "

I slapped him on the shoulder. "This is our outfit. Why are you here? You know I'm going to dress!" I whispered.

"I miss you!" I was busy a few days before our night so Sav and I would be reluctant to see each other especially since he was busy at work.
"Me too. But I need to go back! It will start in a minute"

He nodded and kissed me on the forehead.
"I love you damn much, you know that. Hmm". Shit! I'll win this competition! I am inspired! Fucking inspired!

"I love you too." I said back. He cupped my face and we kissed a long moment. Until we heard noises! I heard the cursed of my gay make up artist.

So I ran back to my room!

"Why did you do that! Who are you ?! Do you know that's so expensive-"

"Shut up! " Jezel screamed. I stumbled when I saw her holding scissors and my cut gown and so on the floor.

"W-What have you done-" I cannot say it properly. I am so shocked seeing Jezel ruined my gown!


Sav tightened his grip on my waist and hugged me. I knew he could feel my trembling for many reasons.

"I hate you Rox!" Jezel turned to Sav with his teary eyes. "I -I hate you so much Sav!" Fuck it! She ruined my dress! She ruined my night! How dare she is ?! She suddenly ran out and pushed me so I backwards a bit.

I don’t know what to say and do.
My best friend did this to me ?! And what about Sav huh ?! I looked at Sav who was just looking at me seriously. My tears flowed because I failed in the desire to win! Only now have I failed like this because I don't want to think about what I've been thinking for a long time but it seems to be true.

"Oh nice! I'm leaving in a moment !When I come back, that woman is ruining your gown. " The gay man said in confusion. I didn't look at him and I directed my eyes at Sav.

"What does she mean Sav?" He shook and held my hand.

"I don't know, Rox." He says.

I turned to gay. "Bloody, can you leave first?" The gay frowned because I called him by that name that I knew.

"E-E 'ma'am, the show will start in any minute-' '

"Yeah, I know. Get out first." I show no emotion . Bloody, the gay nodded and came out.

"Talk Sav! What does she mean ?!" I almost shouted that. He just tightened his jaw and violently pulled his hair. And with that..I know there's something. I wanna know.I need to know.

"You know what? I doubted her actions but I didn't give a meaning because she's my bestfriend! But why? Why does she hate you? Why is she angry ?! "

"Baby ... calm down."

"No!" I hit him in the chest.
"Tell me! I've been wondering why she's looking at you like when I look at you ?! She blushed at your simple gesture that I'm used too! "
He remained silent. And it's killing me.

"Fine! You don't want to ?! From now on. I don't want to see you anymore! Whatever we have now I am ending it now!! I don't know if I can trust you anymore! Get out!"

"No you're not doing this!" He shook his head and tried to hold me.

"Out!" I cried.

"Fucking fine! Your best friend was drunk the time I saw her! I approached her and helped. She kissed me, Rox! She kissed me! Since then she's always bothering my phone !I don't know where did she got my number! "

I heard the emcee calling my name.

"You two kissed and you didn't tell me!"

"Because I don't want to be a reason for you to ruined up! Rox! Look, I'm sorry. It's nothing!"

"Well! Come with me! " I came out in tears. I was overwhelmed by what was happening. I feel so sick and hopeless!

I lost the fight. I lost the pageant.

"Roxette!" Sav shouted.

"R-Roxette! It’s your turn!”

I met the make up artist.

"I quit" I said coldly and passed him. I heard him cursed. Many were looking at me but my eyes were only looking for one. I knew it was impossible for me to see her in the sea of people so I went to the parking lot of the school.

And there I saw her typing on her phone .
"Shit." I heard Sav cursed at my back.
He followed me. Because of the footsteps of my sandals, she looked up and looked at me. I saw her scared but eventually smiled.

"What? You're a crying queen now ?!"

All my blood seemed to go up to my head. She's wearing a mid riff top and short shorts.So very far of being my bestfriend. This is not her.

My tears flowed and I looked up. The night wind blew and both of our hair was blown away.
"Is that you Jezel?" my voice trailed off from crying. I saw her gulped and shrugged.

"What do you think of me? Animal?" She replied. I felt Sav hug me and Jez looked at me.

"You know ... I love Sav!" I hissed.

Her eyes widened and eventually grinned as if understood. "So he told you at last?"

"Yeah. How dare you kiss him? Huh !?"

"No matter how many times I kiss her, Rox , I can! You know that!"

"So, what do you mean?" I step forward.

"I tried to avoid what I was feeling but I don't want to hide it anymore, Rox. I like Savier.I like him so much!"

"Shut up ! You two! " Sav scolded us." Baby, come on. "

"You numb Sav! I will do anything! Just choose me! Why not me? I am here-"

I slapped her before she finished.
"You're a snake!''

Shs rubbed her cheek and slapped me too.
"I can do everything Rox. For Sav to love me."

"And because of that you broke my trust. Our friendship. I treated you like my sister Jez. Why Jez?!”
She turned away and her tears flowed.

"Baby .. lets go. Your dad's calling." Sav whispered. I’m getting tired of it all.

"P-Please Sav, let's talk." Jez , begged to Savier even if I'm here. I close my eyes in pain.

"No". Sav said coldly. "Stay away from me and stay away from Roxette. Get it ? Because otherwise, I'll forget you're a woman. " Sav threatened and hugged me to leave. I heard Jez sob in the distance and I was very, very hurt by what was happening.


It's okay if she kissed Sav accidentally because she's drunk. . He knows I love Sav. I like Sav.

Before we headed back inside Sav pulled me. "Baby, please tell me I wont lose you this time. I am so sorry for not telling you.” I looked at him wearily with my eyes tired of crying.

"Stay away from me. Please." I turned my back on him and went to where papa was.
