Chapter 24: Alpha Lumia

Alpha Zaver walked out of his mansion wearing his usual white overall gown. He had an angry expression on his face like he'd been forced to do something he had no real intention of doing.
"I better not be wasting my time." He muttered to himself. He wouldn't have come outside if it hadn't been for his wolf who continuously nagged at him to. The time was around 10:PM yet Alpha Lumia still had the guts to visit him. He gritted his teeth in anger and thought of the way he'll tear Alpha Lumia's skin apart if the purpose of his coming was to mock him.
He had been inside his house when he was called by his Beta, Peter, that Alpha Lumia wanted to see him. They had been enemies for some time now and he couldn't understand what Alpha Lumia wanted. He gritted his teeth once again and walked in the direction of Alpha Lumia who was at the outdoor bar in his house.
Alpha Lumia looked exactly as the last time Alpha Zaver saw him, the only difference was that the air around him changed and he looked more devilish with the black cloth he was always wearing. He had an unreadable expression on his face and his dark hair was more coiled than Alpha Zaver remembered.
Alpha Zaver stopped at the entrance to the bar and carefully observed Alpha Lumia. He was sitting on his favourite chair in the bar, his legs spread wide as his Lexus car keys jangled on his hands. Alpha Zaver calmed down his wolf who suddenly wanted to attack Alpha Lumia for sitting down on his favourite chair. He walked briefly and sat on a chair opposite him, making sure that Alpha Lumia was not very close to him at all.
The eeriness of the night's darkness was obvious as there was only a dim source of light in the bar. Neither Alpha Zaver or Lumia spoke. They seemed to be wondering who the first person to speak should be.
"Why are you here?" Alpha Zaver finally asked.
"Is that the way to greet an old friend you've not seen in years?" Alpha Lumia replied.
"The fuck you're not my friend!" Alpha Zaver fired.
"Oh!" Alpha Lumia said, looking comfortable with the way Alpha Zaver was behaving. "Can I at least get a drink? I'm your visitor for Christ's sake!"
A blinking light of rage flashed on Alpha Zaver's eyes but he finally stood up and walked to the bar cupboard to pick a drink. He spent about two minutes before he finally walked back to his seat holding two glasses of whiskey. He sat on his seat and stared suspiciously at Alpha Lumia.
Alpha Lumia took the drink from him and drank a large gulp. Belching after he finished even though he knew that it was one of Alpha Zaver's least favourite sounds.
"I would've assumed you poisoned me and exchanged my glass for yours since you didn't bring the bottle. But I trust you, that's why I didn't abstain from drinking it."
Alpha Zaver looked at him with a devilish glare when he finished talking. "Just cut the crap and go fucking straight to why you're here!" He snapped.
"Why're you shying away from going to Lucain?" Alpha Lumia asked.
"How dare you! So the reason for your coming here is to ask me stupid questions?" Alpha Zaver said, his anger fully showing as his claws grew out gradually, ready to attack and kill.
"You really think I don't know that the moon goddess asked you to be his guardian? If you think so, then I'll remind you that I have a gift of knowing things that weren't directly told to me." Alpha Lumia said.
"I don't care! Fuck you, fuck your fucking gift. Get out of my damn house if you don't have anything reasonable to say." Alpha Zaver fired back in anger.
Alpha Lumia looked at him and shaked his head in pity. If only he knew that the prime white wolf needed him.
"Alpha Dracula has given a price for any of the black wolf Alpha's that can bring the dead body of Lucian to him. I guess I should stop disturbing you and go work on the project." Alpha Lumia stood up to leave as he finished speaking.
"Stop right there!" Alpha Zaver commanded. "What the hell did you just say?"
Alpha Lumia smiled secretly before he turned to look at Alpha Zaver with a serious face. "I said Lucian's gonna be dead if you don't listen to me!"
Alpha Zaver beckoned on him to come closer before he said, "Go on, tell me what you want to tell me. But if I discover at last that you were sent by that Lucifer, I'm gonna kill everybody in your pack before I kill you."
"Okay, agreed." Alpha Zaver said and sat down on the chair. "Alpha Dracula earlier sent Alpha Derrick to go and murder him, but he should go with another Alpha. He didn't heed to Alpha Dracula's advice and he went alone, and the worst thing was that he followed Lucian to a bar when it was daytime. He didn't know I was watching his every move as he stupidly plotted his plan that didn't make a single sence…"
"What's wrong about that?" Alpha Zaver interrupted. "So you wanted him not to stupidly plan his moves so he could really succeed in killing Lucian?"
"No, that's not the point of what I was saying." Alpha Lumia calmly replied.
"Then what the fuck is the point of what you were saying?" Alpha Zaver shouted at the top of his lungs and the sound sent a wave around the house, loud enough for his pack members who lived with him in his very large mansion to hear.
"The fucking point is that Alpha Derrick left the poor Lucain unconscious after they had a fight because Alpha Derrick mind-linked him saying his parents were dead and he was in a bar drinking with his friend."
"What the…!" Alpha Zaver started to speak but stopped. "When did all this happen and where is Lucian?"
"When it happened and how it happened doesn't matter now, what matters is that Lucian needs you now more than any other thing, because I can feel it in me that he's suffering from not knowing if his parents are really dead or not!"
Alpha Zaver stood up from his seat and threw the glass cup with him to hit the bar wall. He was angry but didn't know if it was at himself or at Alpha Dracula. "Why does things have to be this complicated? Alpha Dracula and all of us were inseparable before he suddenly went hungry for power. Is it because he's a little stronger than me or what?"
"I don't know, but I hope you've forgiven me for following his lead?" Alpha Lumia asked. "I supported him from the start because I didn't want the black wolves to think I betrayed them."
"I've still not forgiven you, maybe I will when all this is over. Dracula definitely knows that he's going to lose the war since legend already stated it, I still don't understand why he's fighting a pointless war."
"Legend didn't exactly state that he'll lose. Legend states that Lucian will only win if he's guided by the right people, and that right person is you!" Alpha Lumia stood up from the chair when he finished.
"Lucian needs you more than ever at this moment, I know that it's a little embarrassing for a highly respected Alpha like you to guild and teach a kid, but you're the only person that can make him win this war. Think about it." Alpha Lumia kept his whiskey glass on the table before he walked out to the gate and out of Alpha Zaver's house.
"I sure will think about it." Alpha Zaver muttered to himself before he walked back into his house.
