Chapter 17 No One Loves Her

**Ava stood in the living room, looking up at Mrs. Bennett and smiled lightly, "Oh, so Mom knows who James Brown is too? I thought you didn't know." **
**Mrs. Bennett stiffened. She looked into the girl's eyes that seemed to be accusing her. Mrs. Bennett didn't like those eyes.**
**At this moment, Mr. Bennett walked in with a gloomy face and Mrs. Bennett immediately asked, "What did James Brown say?"**
**Earlier Kylie had smashed James Brown's head with a desk lamp in desperation before escaping from him; he came to The Bennett family to settle accounts now that he had recovered from his injury. Mr.Bennett was apologizing profusely while feeling terrible about it.**
**"What else can he say? The ****Brown** **family has connections over at CC Perfume Company and we successfully delivered our bid proposal through James Brown's ****help** **recently," said Mr.Bennett.**
**"As long as ****our company** **cooperates with CC Perfume Company, we will sit on top of the spice industry throne," added Mr.Bennett.**
**"But now Kylie has hit James Brown on the head and he threatened to cut off our cooperation with CC Perfume Company," said Mrs.Bennett.**
**Mr.Bennett glared at Kylie when saying this sentence.**
**Kylie felt wronged: "Mom and Dad! This is all Ava's fault! I'm innocent!"**
**Mr.Bennett looked displeasedly at Ava: "Ava, I know you grew up in the countryside these years without proper discipline but you cannot behave like this either! Do you know how important James Brown and CC Perfume are for us -The Bennetts?"**
**"I didn't know before but now I do- You guys would sell your own daughter just for cooperating with them!" replied Ava coldly.**
**"You!" exclaimed Mr.Bennet angrily.**
**"Ava, James Brown has a say in CC Perfume Company. It's CC Perfume Company! Many people want to get involved with them through him. You are The Bennett family's daughter and you should contribute to the family," said Mrs.Bennett.**
**Ava sneered coldly: "I am The Bennett family's daughter but Kylie and Sophia aren't. Why don't they contribute?"**
**"Ava!" Mrs.Bennett was angry now, "Look at Kylie's pretty face! She is New York City's number one beauty and she married Dominic, New York City’s richest man! How can she help?" **
**"And Sophia- Sophia is New York City’s top socialite; not only does she have high education qualifications but also has talent in perfumery. She was sent to France for further studies two years ago and is our hope for the future of The Bennett Family. How can she help?" added Mrs.Bennet.**
**At this point, Kylie interrupted Ava: "We all know that you envy Sister Sophia so much because she took away your position as The Bennetts' true heiress these past few years but you're just an ugly country girl who isn't like us!"**
**Ava sneered again; She had always known that she was an outsider in this Bennett family.**
**Sophia** **had a great reputation in New York City since childhood when being raised by The Bennetts as their heiress apparent; her talents were highly praised especially in perfumery which made her almost perfect in every way possible.**
**Therefore, when it was discovered that they had switched babies at birth back then,The Bennets couldn’t bear to give up on ****Sophia** **-the fake heiress- instead of Ava who grew up as a true rich girl from the countryside whom everyone looked down upon.She could sacrifice herself anytime for The Bennett Family while no one loved or cared about her anyway.**
**Ava straightened her back: "I wanted to contribute to The Bennett Family but I am an ugly country girl who James Brown doesn't even like. I can't help you guys."**
**After saying that, Ava turned around and left.**
