Chapter 54 The Star of God Does Not Belong to You
Dominic arrived, and he didn't disappoint her.
"Ava, just watch," he said before leaving to greet Kylie.
The Henry family had already crowded around, especially Amanda, who squeezed up next to Kylie. She wanted to see the wealthy man that Kylie was dating.
For a moment, the atmosphere in the hall was tense yet enthusiastic as everyone eagerly awaited Dominic's entrance.
Ava's clear eyes also looked towards the door. Soon, a figure leaped into view. She blinked slightly because it wasn't Dominic but an...old man.
The old man's appearance completely froze Kylie's smile on her face. She was dumbfounded because what she expected wasn't the handsome and elegant Dominic but a housekeeper instead.
"Kylie, is this your wealthy boyfriend?" Amanda exclaimed in disbelief.
"No! He isn't my boyfriend!" Kylie hurriedly explained. "Who are you? Who let you in? Someone come and throw him out!"
He looked at Kylie and said calmly, "Miss Kylie, I will leave now. But before I go, I need to take back the Star of God from your neck; it doesn't belong to you."
What?
Take back the Star of God?
Kylie immediately covered the Star of God on her neck with her hand. "Why do you have any right to take away my Star of God? It belongs only to me! Who else does it belong to?"
The old man smiled faintly, then made a gesture. Two burly, black-clad bodyguards immediately stepped forward and pulled off the Star of God from around Kylie's neck.
The dazzling diamond cut through her skin, leaving behind a bloody wound.
Ah!
Kylie screamed loudly.
"Kylie!" Mrs. Bennett immediately hugged her tightly while scolding angrily, "Who are you people? How dare you come here and attack us? Someone, come quickly!"
"Shut up! Stop making a fuss!" Mr. Bennett stepped forward and glared at Mrs. Bennett and Kylie in anger.
Mrs. Bennett and Kylie didn't know who the old man was, but Mr. Bennett saw the silver button on his sleeve with the engraved word "Fu."
This was Dominic's housekeeper!
The housekeeper put the Star of God back into its box, then politely said, "Sorry for disturbing you."
After speaking, he left with his men.
As soon as they left, chaos erupted. Amanda immediately exclaimed, "Kylie, how could you date a housekeeper?"
Henry couldn't wait to jump down from where he stood, saying, "Now it's good; we don't have the Star of God anymore."
The uncle's family had always been jealous that Kylie found a boyfriend who could afford to give her the Star of God. Now they were happiest because they wouldn't miss any chance to kick someone when they're down.
Kylie felt extremely overwhelmed; she didn't even know what had happened or why Dominic hadn't shown up yet or where this old man came from.
"No...that old man really isn't my boyfriend," Kylie tried to explain.
But no one wanted to listen to her explanation. The people who were just flattering her moments ago now wore disdainful expressions while accusing, "Mr. Bennett, is this your son-in-law?"
