Chapter 52 Take the Contraceptive Pill

He had never slept in until eight o'clock before. As he moved, the girl in his arms also stirred. Ava was still asleep, her small hand holding onto his strong waist. He picked up his phone, and her soft body followed as she wrapped herself around him.

Dominic's eyes still held the tenderness from last night as he hung up the phone and continued to hold the girl in his arms.

Half an hour later, Ava woke up naturally.

She opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling for a while with confusion filling them. The alcohol had completely worn off, and she didn't know where she was now.

Then came a low magnetic voice by her ear, "Awake?"

Ava turned her head and saw his handsome face again.

It was him.

The memories from last night instantly flooded back; it wasn't just a dream - she really did sleep with Dominic Harrington!

Ava's mind exploded with shock. She thought that would be their final time together as substitutes, but they...

Looking at her bewildered eyes, Dominic sneered slightly before saying, "You don't have to wake up so early anymore. You can stay here longer."

No wonder why she got up so early every day; once dawn broke, she had to become Ava again.

Ava sat upright in alarm; everything about this situation made no sense to her! Why did he want to have sex with HER? She was just Ava!

Dominic got out of bed then strode into the bathroom for a shower while Ava quickly put on some clothes. Her face looked pale when suddenly there came a melodious ringtone from Dominic's phone - Kylie calling him again!

Kylie's call undoubtedly reminded Dominic of his status as someone else’s husband, which left Ava feeling embarrassed standing there motionless, staring at his phone screen while Kylie called again.

He walked over and hung up Kylie's call. Then came a knock on the door, followed by his secretary's voice: "Sir."

"Come in."

The secretary walked in and handed something to Dominic before saying, "Sir, this is what you asked for."

Dominic took it then passed it to Ava. "Take this pill," he said.

In his palm were two white pills, which made Ava tremble slightly as she looked at him with confusion written all over her face.

"It's a contraceptive pill," he explained coldly. "Ava, don't think that I want to have children with you. Take the pill obediently; I don't want any accidents happening."

"And one more thing - yesterday’s events should not be known by anyone, especially Mrs. Harrington. Do you understand?"

His tone was thin and cold like a knife.

Of course, as an adult woman, Ava understood what he meant. She took the contraceptive pill from him and swallowed it right there in front of him.

"Mr. Harrington, I've taken it now so if there isn't anything else, then I'll leave." With that said, she turned around and left.

Dominic watched her back disappear out of sight while his eyes remained inscrutable.

Then his secretary spoke softly, "Sir… The Bennett family…"

Dominic didn't say anything, but suddenly a slender figure appeared again – Ava had come back!

"Miss Su? Is there something else?"

There was indeed something else...

Ava approached Dominic then threw a platinum-wrapped object hard onto his handsome face before shouting angrily:

"Mr. Harrington! Let me tell you that there is also something called condoms in this world! If you don't want girls getting pregnant, then please wear them yourself! Be responsible for your own offspring!"
