The Covenant

She tried to raise her face, to look directly at her creepy interlocutor. The young man didn't change his facial expression at all, his cynical eyes and cold face made her tremble not to stop.

There is one thing that Seraphina forgot, the agreement she had just spoken with the devil. Shevwas too reckless, but discouraging her from getting the plant after all she had been through was a futile deed.

"Follow me!" the young man turned around and walked through the thick trees.

"W-wait! where are we going?" she called out. The young man ignored her and continued walking forward.

She felt a tremor in her feet when she saw the dark and terrible forest as if there were more demons and monsters ready to greet her.

"Hey, wait! don't leave me!" She  who had no choice, immediately ran following the mysterious young man.

She just realized, the deeper she went into the forest, there were many things she could find besides trees. The bushes, the animals passing and hiding and the sound of the river that began to be heard.

The young man took her to a river, where there were spiky, silvery leaves, just as Judy had said. The leaves on the plant seemed to glow in the moonlight.

"Th ... this ... this is ..." She could hardly believe what she saw. The plant with silver leaves that could cure Xavier's illness grew in abundance in this forest.

Too excited, she jumped in pleasure and rushed to the plant.

"Yeay, I managed to find it, thank Goodness!" she shouted with joy. The innocent Nathania even forgot the forbidden agreement she just made a few minutes ago.

"Hey, thank you very much, I'm really helped. If I may know, what's your name? I'm Nathani ..." realizing that she was about to reveal her identity, Nathania immediately closed her mouth.

"I'm dead, how about this? I almost told my name!" she thought.

Nathania glanced at the young man, he did not seem to care about the mistakes that Nathania did and it seemed, he was also not that interested in knowing, who the woman was with him right now.

"I ... I mean, my name is Nina, yes, Nina hahahaha ... what's your name?" asked Nathania smiling awkwardly.

The young man didn't stop staring at her and it made Nathania start to feel uneasy. Such an overly intense gaze made her stomach ache.

"Ca ... can you stop staring at me? you almost made me pee in my pants!"

Once again, the young man ignored her words and turned around. It was very difficult to understand the meaning of his eyes that seemed ruthless. Even though she was very afraid of him, on the one hand Nathania was very grateful because the young man had helped her to find this silver leafy plant.

"Th ... thanks, I ..."

"Save your gratitude and come back tomorrow to keep your promise. Don't think you can run away from me!"

"We ... well, I understand!"

After taking the silver leaf, Nathania summoned her horse and came out of this forbidden forest. Meanwhile, in his place the young man kept watching until Nathania disappeared from his sight.

"Why don't you just kill the girl right away, Aiden?"

A black-haired woman approached the young man with a seductive smile, this young man was not interested in answering her question.

"When did you come?"

"Just now, you missed me?" she asked while embracing this young man with her hands wrapped around his neck.

"Get rid of your hand!"

"Why? you don't like it? I thought you were old enough to do it, Aiden!"

"Do you want to die?"

"If I die, then you will also die. Did you forget the curse that hit you?"

"I do not care!" he said while releasing the embrace of this beautiful woman.

"Soon your 17th birthday, right? are you ready to receive the blessing as the only rightful heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Fotia?"

"What do you mean?"

"I heard, your uncle has started his scheming to get rid of you forever!"

Nathania writhed on her bed, sweating and her heart had not stopped beating since she returned to the palace. It feels very difficult to sleep in this restless state.

"I can't sleep!" she shouted. Nathania lifted her head from the pillow and tugged at her hair in frustration.

"Save your gratitude and come back tomorrow to keep your promise. Don't think you can run away from me!"

Those cold and cruel words continued to echo in her ears, Nathania could not forget his murderous gaze that was so terrible.

"How is this ... how is this ... how is this? what should I do? do I really have to die tomorrow?" Nathania panicked, her tears flowed every time realizing that her life was coming to an end.

"Who is he? why could he turn into a wolf? the color of his eyes, was he really the boy who burned the lavender forest at that time? is he the crown prince of Fotia? but, how come he can be in the forest not far from Sapphire Palace?"

Nathania kept repeating the same questions, none of which she had found the answer to. At first, Nathania was a little doubtful that the young man was the same person she met five years ago, but when he showed his strange power by controlling fire made, Nathania believe that he was the same person.

"Aaauuu ..."

There was a wolf's howl. Nathania shuddered, the howl made her remember the form of a huge wolf with its very sharp teeth.

"Aaauuu ..."

The howling sounded again, Nathania got up from her bed and opened the bedroom window to check the situation outside.

The sky looks senskin dark, black clouds cover the moon which is the only light out there. The wind blows the leaves, Nathania feels a bad feeling, a hunch that says, there are a lot of bad things lurking out there.
