The Devil's Kiss
Everything she wanted to say seemed stuck in her throat as Aiden filled her lips with kisses. How could he do something like this? that's the right sentence to describe how shocked Nathania was over the kiss that Aiden gave her.
After 10 seconds of tension, Aiden pulled his face and opened his wolf-like eyes. Cold and cruel, that was what shone in his demonic eyes.
Nathania who had just received the devil's kiss was suffocated in her place with half of her life flying out of her body. Aiden did not say anything after doing something rude to a girl, he calmly walked away leaving Nathania who was motionless like a statue.
Aiden opened the balcony door and sat on the sturdy wooden fence, looking at the lightening sky. Meanwhile Nathania who started to regain consciousness, felt crazy after realizing that Aiden had snatched her first kiss.
Nathania's face flushed, her hands clenched tightly and trembling. Her heart was still beating as fast as those tense seconds.
"Crazy! he just did that to me!" she thought. Although embarrassed, but Nathania was not at all annoyed by the arbitrary actions that Aiden did to her just because of the agreement they had made.
Nathania stepped her foot, went to the place where Aiden was. A small balcony that allows her to see the forest view which is not as bad as she thought before.
Aiden did not flinch, his eyes were still facing the lightening sky. From where Nathania was observing him, Nathania just realized that this demon youth had a very handsome face. His hair was shiny black, the contrast with her fair skin and her turquoise eyes reminded Nathania of a painting of a lake in a sapphire palace.
"You can go home now!" he said.
"Re ... really? are you sure?"
"Yes!"
"Is that so? then, I really want to thank you. I really don't know, how to get back at it. You've helped a lot, you're very kind, Aiden!" Nathania smiled sincerely, the tremors in her heart made her tears flow. There was a sense of emotion she felt and it made her unable to hate Aiden, no matter if he wanted to kill her.
Upon seeing that smile, Aiden's reaction was a little different. There was a strange feeling that enveloped his heart when he saw that smile. In his life, Aiden never saw a sincere smile from someone. Never, not even from the people who were supposed to be his family.
Everyone he knew and how they looked at him was nothing more than a grisly murder weapon. Fate that said that the only reason he was born into this world was just to be a murderer.
"Go! starting tomorrow, you don't need to come to this forest again!"
"Really? but why?"
"I set you free, you are not bound by any more promises to me!"
"Is ... is that so? so, I don't need to come to this forest again?"
"Yes!"
Nathania was not very happy to hear that she was released. There was a sense of disappointment that somehow just appeared. Her happy smile turned into a sad expression that is difficult to describe.
"Why? shouldn't you be happy?"
"Maybe I should. But, I don't feel happy at all. You know Aiden? before entering this forest, my friends warned me to stay away and bury my desire to find the silver leafy plant. They say, this forest is the home of demons and they kill anyone who dares come to this forest! "
"That's right! what your friend said is true. This forest is not a safe place for a human like you!"
"Is it true?"
"Even if you don't realize it, there are actually a lot of demons hiding inside those trees!"
"Bu ... but, I didn't see them at all ..."
"It's because your heart is not dirty. Only sinners can meet them and will drag them to the pit of hell!"
Hearing Aiden's explanation, made Nathania continue to swallow hard. He did not realize that every tree that grew in this forest was inhabited by demons.
"So, this tree house ..." she said. Aiden immediately gave an answer with his cold gaze which made Nathania finally know that Aiden was part of the demons.
"This forest is my kingdom, all the devils in this forest are subject to me. Therefore, before I change my mind, get out of this forest and never come back again!"
"Aiden, do you have a family?"
"What are you asking that for?"
"I just wanted to know because what I saw you were a human, just like me. If you were a devil, you definitely wouldn't help me. But, you've done a lot for me and I'm very grateful. To me, you are a rescue angel, not a cruel devil!"
"Tch, you idiot!"
"I am a fool, even my brother say I am a very stupid person. But, if being stupid and crazy can keep me with you, I prefer to be a fool. Aiden, be friends with me!" asked Nathania earnestly.
It seemed that backfired on Aiden, as he stood still and looked at that serious face in disbelief. Nathania bravely approached him, stretched out her hand to shake and gave him the sincere smile he had never had before.
"I don't want to deal with humans and I don't need a friend!"
"Then, you can think of me as a devil like you too, right? that way we can be friends. I'll come to see you at night, I'll bring a lot of food. You can say what you want to eat, I'll definitely bring it for you. I also have a lot of food. Tea in my house, do you like tea? we can drink tea together while looking at the sky! "
All the offers that Nathania said happily made Aiden confused, at the same time he couldn't refuse even though he wanted to.
"No need! you don't have to come again because I don't want to see your face!" he said as he got up from his place and thought to get a little away from this strange stubborn girl.
"Whatever! I'll still come even if you don't like it. If you want to kill me, go ahead!"
Aiden was completely at a loss for words to turn her down and preferred to walk away and let her ramble on alone.
Nathania laughed at Aiden's attitude which had turned slightly warmer. Nathania knows who Aiden is because they met five years ago. Although Aiden doesn't admit who he really is, Nathania is quite aware that the reason why Aiden lives alone in this forest is because of his status as the crown prince of Fotia, as well as the victim of the sacrifices his ancestors made to the demon king.
"I'll definitely come back tomorrow!"
