That night, he didn't leave. He stood under the Brian tree and guarded me all night.
The next day, my mom was startled when she woke up.
"Is that person outside crazy? He stood there all night?"
"He is Brian," I said with a smile.
"Brian?" My mom immediately jumped up. "Did he come to apologize to you?"
"Well...kind of."
"He's so handsome, let him come inside..." My mom cheerfully went out to call him.
He was quite obedient, following my mom inside. Maybe it was his first time meeting my mom, he seemed a little nervous, sitting there properly, no longer the confident boss.
From the smile on the back of my mom's head, it was evident that she was very satisfied with Brian.
"You didn't sleep last night, aren't you tired?" I asked him.
"I'm fine." he squeezed my hand.
Finally, he took me to a jewelry store that customized jewelry.
As soon as the saleswoman saw him, she warmly greeted, "Sir. You've come to pick up the ring. Is this your wife?"
"Yes."
I was shocked.
I was completely confused throughout the whole process.
The staff led us to the VIP room and took out a jewelry box from the safe.
"Take a look, do you like it?" He gestured for me to open it.
Nervously, I opened it and found a pink diamond ring. It wasn't very big, but it was incredibly beautiful.
He took it out, lowered his head, and helped me put it on.
"Fits perfectly."
"When did you..." I began to ask.
"I ordered it a long time ago, just never came to pick it up," he smiled.
"Why didn't I know?"
"You were too busy being mad at me, how would you know?" He put the hand wearing the ring in his palm and looked at it repeatedly. "You heartless girl, once you put it on, you can't take it off."
"Ah..."
"But, I don't think you dare to take it off," he said, satisfied, as he held my hand.
After getting the ring, his driver brought the car over, and we ended up going back to his house.
His grandfather greeted me with a big smile, and when he saw the ring on my hand, he praised him, "Finally did something worthwhile."
His parents were in the UK, and the whole family had a video call, but they didn't inquire much about me, they simply respected their son's choice.
Everything happened so fast, throughout the day, I felt like I was living in a dream.
That night, I went with him to his villa in Valdale. After taking a shower and coming out, he was already asleep on the sofa. He was really tired that day.
I walked over, squatted down on the floor, and shamelessly stared at him.
With his eyes closed, he looked picturesque, and there was a light stubble on his chin. Compared to his younger self, he had gained a bit more maturity and stability.
Oh, that young boy I had always yearned for, was now sleeping in front of me, still holding onto the school badge I returned to him.
Maybe, in his dreams, he finally had a glimpse of me too?
Thinking about this made me feel an overwhelming happiness.
While he was asleep, I mustered the courage to want to kiss his forehead. But as soon as I lowered my head, before I could kiss him, he suddenly opened his eyes.
His eyes were full of charm and warmth, and with just one glance, I fell into his starry gaze. My heart began to beat fiercely.
His lips slightly parted, "What do you want to do to me?"
My heart skipped a beat, and my first instinct was to escape. But he grabbed my waist tightly.
"I don't want to do anything, I just wanted to look," my heart was racing.
His gaze traveled down from my eyes, and his Adam's apple moved, "Staring someone in the middle of the night?"
"Haha, I just like to do that." I reached out to push him.
But he didn't give me a chance to escape, instead, he pulled me closer. His voice became low and hoarse, "Baby, are you ready for that?"
He turned over and kissed me.
Later, in a low and soothing voice, he comforted me, "Baby, I'll be gentle."
What else could I do?
I chose this man, and even if I cried, I still had to accept it.
