Chapter 450 Alvin Sees Sylvester in Shock
Looking at Lela's puzzled face, Sylvester laughed. "Baby, you are Lady Phoenix."
Lela said, "What's so special about Lady Phoenix? Lady Phoenix is still a person."
Even a top hacker hidden in the shadows sometimes would be at a loss.
For example, the people on Sylvester's side must have some mysterious and powerful hacker helping him hide his identity. And she couldn't find out.
Apart from the Flora incident and the issue of physical stamina in bed, this was the third time Sylvester had seen this look of utter helplessness on Lela's face.
Sylvester released the fingers pinching Lela's chin, his large hand covering her soft face, gently stroking. "Baby, when the time is right, I'll tell you."
By then, he would formally introduce her to everyone.
Lela's eyes lit up, bright as stars. She tilted her head, her eyes slightly upturned, exuding an enchanting innocence. "Alright then, but if I get a perfect score on this midterm exam, you have to give me a reward."
Sylvester, thinking of Lela's previous poor grades, didn't hold out much hope for her. But considering Lela had so many titles, he wasn't worried and agreed readily. "No matter what score you get, as long as it's not zero, I'll give you whatever you want."
He really hadn't expected Lela to get a perfect score. After all, when he took the SAT, he was one point short of a perfect score.
Hearing his words, Lela deliberately widened her eyes at Sylvester. "Who do you think you're underestimating?"
Sylvester chuckled. "Alright, you can get a perfect score. When the time comes, whatever you want to do, I'll heed you."
Lela raised an eyebrow, extended her hand, and hooked her pinky finger towards him. "Pinky promise."
This was something she learned after coming to the Pliar country.
Sylvester, following her lead, extended his pinky finger and hooked it with Lela's, his eyes full of affection.
The helicopter was quick; in less than ten minutes, they had arrived at Holy Light Elite Academy.
On the large helipad, the helicopter slowly descended, the massive rotor blades stirring up a fierce wind around them.
Lela glanced at the time and got off Sylvester's lap. "Sylvester, I'm going now."
Before she could turn around, Sylvester grabbed her. "No rush, there's still time. I'll go down with you."
Sylvester escorted Lela to the examination hall, where Charley stood at the entrance, glancing nervously to the left and right. It was the first time Charley had seen Sylvester at the school, and his customary smile was tinged with apprehension.
Charley braced himself and approached. "Sylvester, Lela."
Sylvester glanced at Charley, a hint of a smile in his eyes. "Are you ready for the exam? I'm looking forward to your results this time."
Charley scratched his head and gave an awkward smile.
Suddenly thinking of something, Charley pointed at Lela and said gleefully, "My score will definitely be similar to Lela's."
"Really?" Sylvester clenched his fist. "You're comparing yourself to her?"
Seeing this, Charley quickly hid behind Lela. "Lela, save me!"
Lela hurriedly tried to ease the tension. "Sylvester, it's getting late. We should go in now."
Charley, being smart, immediately echoed, "Yeah, we should go in now."
Sylvester nodded and ruffled Lela's hair. "Go ahead."
Sylvester didn't spare Charley a single glance. He could only silently express his jealousy.
As the two walked towards the exam hall, Charley handed Lela her exam admission ticket. "Lela, this is yours. We're in the same exam room. Mr. Scott asked me to bring it to you."
Lela took it from him.
Watching Lela's back disappear into the exam hall, Sylvester finally turned to leave.
On another path, Alvin, holding a stack of test papers, brushed past Sylvester. Seeing Sylvester's face, he widened his eyes and immediately stopped in his tracks.
