Chapter 456 Susanne Tries to Build a Good Relationship with Lela
For a moment, everyone in Class 12A wore a faint smile as if Class 12J was incredibly arrogant and ignorant.
"Susanne, what's wrong with you? Why are you speaking up for Class 12J?" someone from Class 12A said after they had laughed enough.
Charley couldn't stand it anymore. He kicked the chair next to him, causing a loud noise in the cafeteria.
The place fell silent instantly, and only the sound of breathing could be heard.
Charley glanced sideways, not even looking at them, and said coldly, "Say that one more time."
Everyone knew Charley was fierce in fights. He had once taken on a group by himself, and the leader of the other side ended up with broken legs. After that battle, even the thugs around Greafury City had to give way to Charley.
When Charley spoke, no one dared to respond. The people from Class 12A immediately stood up from their seats and left.
Lela didn't care about any of this and continued eating.
Susanne glanced at the backs of the Class 12A students, then ran over to Lela, smiling as she extended her hand. "Lela, please don't take their words to heart. We're all classmates; there's no need for hostility. I hope you can forgive and consider us friends. Don't worry. I'll persuade them not to target Class 12J like this."
Lela looked at Susanne's outstretched hand and squinted her eyes.
Eleanor put down her knife and fork, raised an eyebrow, and looked at Susanne. "You're really funny. When has Class 12J ever cared about Class 12A? Take your hand back."
Susanne awkwardly withdrew her hand, her eyes brimming with tears, looking like a bullied little rabbit.
Charley looked impatient. "Susanne, you're ruining our appetite."
Susanne's face quickly turned red at his words, but she still made an effort. She looked at Lela and said softly, "I know I gave you a bad impression before, but please believe me, I genuinely want to be friends with you. You know, the Harrison family has fallen, and I can't afford to offend theClass 12A students with backgrounds. Otherwise, I would be isolated. But no matter what, I still hope we can be friends. If you don't mind, we can study together. I've organized all my notes from the four years of high school. If you need them, just come to me."
Susanne finished speaking in one breath, then covered her face and ran away.
Eleanor watched Susanne's back thoughtfully. "Is she crazy? Lela, why does she suddenly want to get close to you?"
Everyone knew that Class 12A and Class 12J were not on good terms.
Lela raised an eyebrow, understanding the reason but shook her head."Who knows."
Charley snorted coldly. "Who wants to be friends with an ugly freak?"
Moreover, Susanne was an ugly freak with bad intentions.
After running away, Susanne took a deep breath.
She was quite shrewd. From the last trip to the mall, she had witnessed the handsome Sylvester's wealth and power. She thought further that Lela's sudden transfer to the elite private Holy Light Elite Academy was probably due to Sylvester. So, it was not wise to have a falling out with Lela.
