Chapter 463 Little Scarlett: Some Answers Only Time Can Give
A soft, tender scream came from the car, followed by the sound of a body falling.
"Something's wrong, Mr. Salazar is in trouble."
In an instant, Trenton's subordinates in the cars both ahead and behind heard it all.
The next moment, the alarms on every military vehicle blared loudly, echoing through the desert.
The car Trenton was in was forced to stop.
Well-trained soldiers, cradling their assault rifles, swiftly disembarked from the military vehicles.
Trenton's car was immediately surrounded by his subordinates.
This time, when they came to Flame Sands Valley, Trenton's car was equipped with a sound warning system to ensure his safety.
Inside the car, Trenton's usual conversations wouldn't be recorded, nor would they trigger the alarm. But if there were any violent sounds like fighting or screaming, the sound source would trigger the alarm.
However, once any signs of internal disturbances such as fighting, screaming, or any form of violent noise occur, they would trigger this audio alarm sensor upon contact with the sound source. The alarm was connected to every vehicle on the mission, spreading to each one in just 0.1 seconds. Thus, regardless of whether they are in transit or stationed elsewhere, the moment the alarm sounds, they will rush to the scene at their utmost speed to protect Trenton. Even if Trenton was subdued by the enemy and couldn't make a sound, he would still receive help.
Trenton's adjutant, Craig Hughes, stayed at Ironfist Holding Center to manage internal affairs, while the one accompanying Trenton on this mission was Darren Porter, the captain of the first assault team of Ironfist Holding Center.
At this moment, Darren, dressed in military uniform and boots, holding a rifle, spoke firmly into the loudspeaker, "Listen up inside! You are surrounded. You have one minute to surrender. If you try to resist..."
Inside the car, Scarlett was stunned by the voice outside.
Trenton calmly pulled Scarlett up, ignoring the outside, and looked at her worriedly, gently asking, "Where did you fall? Does it hurt?"
Scarlett regained her composure, blushing as she averted her gaze from Trenton and shook her head.
Seeing Scarlett avoiding his gaze, Trenton frowned slightly, forcefully turning her face towards him, and was momentarily stunned, becauseScarlett's face was as red as an apple.
Trenton then understood. He raised his hand to his lips, coughed lightly, and then, pretending to know nothing, asked in a deep voice, "Why is your face so red?"
Scarlett, bewildered, shook her head and quickly raised her hand to cover her face. "I don't know; it's just that when I saw your..."
Then she covered her eyes with her left hand, peeking through her fingers at Trenton, and pointed at Trenton's chest with her right hand. "When I saw your chest, my face turned red."
Trenton silently put on his clothes, even covering the bandaged wound.
Seeing Trenton not responding, Scarlett, still blushing, asked, "Trenton, what's going on?"
That feeling was completely out of her control. She had never felt this way before.
Trenton lowered his eyes, realizing something, then chuckled lightly. "You're still young. You'll understand why when you grow up."
Scarlett ignored Trenton, silently counting on her fingers, mumbling something too softly for Trenton to hear.
Seeing Scarlett was fine, Trenton pulled her up from the ground, then walked to the car door, opened it from the inside, and stepped out.
Outside, Darren and the other subordinates had already uttered several harsh threats. Seeing that no one inside had emerged, they grew so anxious that beads of cold sweat began to form on their foreheads.
If no one came out soon, they would have to launch an assault.
But the next second, they saw Trenton leading a cute-looking girl out of the car.
The girl had her head down, pouting her red lips, and counting something on her slender fingers. She looked delicate and small, wearing a loose camouflage uniform, which made her look extremely cute.
Everyone else, seeing this scene, was dumbfounded.
Scarlett, lost in her own world, didn't notice anything different.
