Chapter 466 Lela's Strange Behavior During the Exam

First Floor Kitchen,

The head chef of the Eastern Sun Restaurant was a well-groomed woman named Chloe Davis. She was in her thirties and still unmarried.

Chloe firmly believed that marriage should be with a kindred spirit. Marrying just for the sake of it was a tragedy of the modern era completely.

In the spacious and bright kitchen, Chloe was leisurely preparing her signature dish.

The servants nearby were quietly discussing whether the head chef of Dragon Manor was about to step down; otherwise, why would Sylvester bring in Chloe from the Eastern Sun Restaurant?

The head chef of Dragon Manor, James, came from a family of chefs who had been under the protection of the Gomez family for generations. Naturally, James also served the Gomez family. Having been influenced since childhood, he too became a top chef.

Before working at Dragon Manor, James had already worked for several years in royal households abroad.

James, who prided himself on his culinary skills, was naturally unhappy.

James thought, 'What's so special about a chef from the Eastern Sun Restaurant?'

James stormed into the kitchen and saw Chloe, who was the new hire from the Eastern Sun Restaurant, and was momentarily stunned.

Chloe glanced at James lightly. "So you're James? I've heard your cooking is excellent."

James scratched his head awkwardly. The angry words he had prepared were swallowed back down. He said, "It's alright. So, you're Chloe? I've heard your nutritional meals are excellent."

Chloe showed no expression. "It's just so-so."

James asked, "So, are you planning to work with me at the Gomez family?"

Chloe said, "I think so. Lela needs my nutritional meals."

After getting washed and dressed in her school uniform, Lela was led downstairs by Sylvester. She noticed the fragrant, steaming meal on the table and realized that Sylvester had quietly hired a chef from the renowned Eastern Sun Restaurant for her.

Lela thought, 'Sylvester really spares no expense.'

Sylvester pulled Lela to sit down, speaking indulgently, "You should eat more of this; it's good for your health."

Holy Light Elite Academy, the preparatory bell for the exam had already rung.

Almost without any suspense, the exam hall was filled with groans. Of course, this groaning excluded the last exam hall.

After all, no matter how simple the questions were, the students of Class 12J couldn't solve them. Since they couldn't solve anything anyway, harder questions would at least lower the scores of the geniuses. Naturally, they were happy about that.

Lela continued to quickly finish her exam. This time, she didn't sleep. She started drawing a turtle on her scratch paper.

Charley glanced over and thought that Lela's drawing was really beautiful.

In the cafeteria at noon, Eleanor pulled Lela aside. "Lela, how did you do on the exam?"

Lela answered, "I finished it. It wasn't difficult."

For the last half hour, she had been drawing turtles.

Charley took a bite of his food and almost spat it out when he heard this.

The students of Class 12A, hearing this, felt like they had heard a joke. But this time, they wisely refrained from commenting, given the shadow Charley had cast over them. So they just sneered but said nothing.

Susanne, in the crowd, heard Lela's words and sneered disdainfully.

She really didn't understand why Sylvester liked Lela, who often lied.

The afternoon exam was even harder. But Lela still finished quickly. This time, instead of drawing on her scratch paper, she wrote down bold and mysterious musical notes. The flowing notes combined to form a mysterious and melodious composition.
